~ I'm so in love with you that it hurts ~

Olivia sat on the cough in Kieran's house as Brooke was putting the finishing touches on Emma's cake. Emma had gone to a mental facility for three months, and was finally coming back that night. Jake chuckle as he stared down at his phone. "Audrey broke the internet, again." Some stupid kids had tried pulling a slasher prank on Audrey.

"And not a word of that to Emma." She stated as she got off the couch and took his phone.

"Why'd you take it?" Jake whined.

"You be a good boy and don't say anything, you'll get it back." Olivia smiled at him.

"We don't want to freak Emma into having another meltdown." Brooke stated.

"She probably already saw it." Jake said to Brooke. "I mean, my phone has been blowing up for like an hour."

"Hey, I've got our internet hero!" A voice Olivia hadn't heard in a while spoke. Olivia saw Noah and Audrey walking into Kieran's house. Olivia gulped, realizing this was not going to be a fun night. Jake, sensing her distress, walked over to Olivia and kissed her on the forehead.

"Oh, that was awesome, bi-otch! Up high." Audrey totally ignored Jake's high five.

"Yeah, get this out of your system now, Jake." Audrey warned him. "There's no post gaming when Emma gets here."

"Not a word, Jake." Brooke snapped as she grabbed Olivia and brought her into the kitchen. "Not a word!"

"She just texted. She'll be here in a minute." Kieran smiled. He was more excited to see Emma than her own sister was.

Brooke took a whiff of Kieran and smiled. "Mm. Sandalwood and a hint of citrus. Someone's very excited to see Emma this evening."

"And that person took my advice on the flowers." Olivia smiled at Kieran. "Pink roses have always been her fav." She patted Kieran's back before rushing into the living room.

"Beer in the fridge." Olivia heard Kieran say as he opened the fridge.

"Yes, please!" It was Noah.

"You're a tough bitch, Audrey." Brooke winked at Audrey, who was putting some beer into the fridge.

"I thought they broke up." Jake stated as he pulled Olivia to the side.

"They did." Olivia nodded. "Sorta." She sighed. "It's complicated. Kinda like you and I. They break up, but are still into each other, and they eventually get back together." She smiled before kissing him softly.

"So, my parents are flying out to Mexico tomorrow, and I was thinking that you could come by before school." Jake stated as he pulled away from the kiss.

"I'm gonna have to try to fit it into my packed schedule." Olivia laughed before kissing him again.

There was a knock at the door. "She's here." Brooke whispered, pulling Olivia away from Jake. "Light the candle on the cake." She snapped at Noah.

Kieran went to open the door, and it had gotten awkwardly quiet inside. "What's taking so long out there?" Jake shouted so that Emma and Kieran could hear him.

"Jake, shut up." Brooke snapped at him, punching his shoulder.

Emma finally walked inside. "Hey." Olivia smiled at her sister.

"Welcome home, girl interrupted." Jake smirked at Emma. Noah had been carrying the cake, and Audrey was holding balloons."

"Jake, pleas shut up." Olivia rolled her eyes at him.

"No, you see, it's a compliment because Angelina's hot."

"No, guys it's okay." Emma softly smiled. "I had some issues, and I dealt with them. Now I'm back here because I want to get back to normal, okay? And it would really suck if you guys start acting weird around me."

"It's really good to have you home." Audrey smiled at Emma.

"I love you." Brooke smiled as she went in to hug Emma. Everyone followed behind her.

Jake started pushing Olivia into the hug. "I don't like group hugs, you know this." Olivia snapped at him.

"She's your sister."

"Fair enough." Olivia nodded before joining in the group hug.

After the party was over, Olivia was about to leave, but Emma stopped her. "So, why didn't Noah even look at you all night?" Emma asked her sister as she moved closer to her. "I mean, I knew you guys ended things, but I didn't know that it went that badly."

"Well, you know how like after the events, we dated for like a week, and I broke things off because I still wasn't fully recovered, right?" Olivia sighed, sitting down on Kieran's couch.

"Yeah, I know about that." Emma nodded, sitting next to her.

"Well, two months later he came to me and told me that he was done waiting." Olivia looked down at her hands. "I said some things I probably shouldn't have."

"O, I'm so-"

"That's not the end of the story." Olivia stated. "I was really upset, and I really wanted to make Noah feel how I felt. Betrayed."

"Please, tell me you didn't-"

"I went to Jake." Olivia said to her sister, knowing her sister would be upset with her decisions. "He listened to me. He let me rant. That night he was so nice to me, and I was so upset with Noah, so I kinda started things with him again. The next day, Noah found out and he told me that he never wanted to speak to me ever again."

"And there it is." Emma sighed before taking her sisters hands. "I know you're not going to listen to me when I say this, but Jake isn't right for you. You and Noah are a perfect team."

"I know you think that, but I'm in love with Jake." Olivia smiled softly at her sister. "And he's in love with me. And how Noah and I haven't talked to each other in over a month, Jake and I are a better team than Noah and I ever were."

*

"I told you that Emma hates me." Jake sighed as the two sat, cuddling, on Olivia's roof.

"She doesn't hate you." Olivia looked up at him. "She just likes Noah better." Jake groaned, rolling his eyes. "But I don't." Olivia placed her hand on his cheek, making him look down at her. "I like you a lot more." She smiled. She leaned forward, kissing him. Jake smiled as he kissed her back, not knowing why she would ever give him another chance after all he had did.

The truth was Jake didn't deserve Olivia. She deserved Noah. Noah deserved her. The two belonged together. Jake was just too goddamned selfish to give her up. He knew that someday Olivia would dump him because he did something else stupid. He was dreading that day.

Jake knew that Olivia wanted to raise a family. She wanted to get married, own a house, and have children. Jake knew that he wouldn't be able to do this for her. He was too impulsive.

Noah was perfect for the life Olivia wanted. He could give her everything that she wanted, and that scared the hell out of Jake. He didn't want to lose Olivia, but one that he would have too.

"I love you." Jake whispered into the kiss. Olivia pulled away and smiled at him. "You are the only thing I have going, right now. You're the only reason I'm happy."

Olivia giggled as she kissed his cheek. "You really do have a way into a girl's pants."

"I'm not kidding." Jake stated, cupping her cheeks. "I'm so in love with you that it hurts. I'm always so scared that you're going to break up with me, because I know that I'm a fucking worthless asshole. You deserve so much better than me."

"Jake, if you haven't noticed, I'm kinda a bitch." Olivia chuckled, holding his hands. "And, I would never dream of breaking up with you. You say I deserve more because you're an asshole, but you're not. You are the one who listened to me after Noah. You helped me. You're the reason I'm so fucking happy."

"Olivia, you deserve-"

"Don't say it, Jake."

"You deserve Noah."

"Jake-"

"Olivia, I'm not kidding." Jake looked away from her. He knew that he would become a puddle of happiness if he looked into her eyes. "You and I aren't good together."

"Jake, please just shut up." Olivia felt a test run down her cheek. "Are you trying to break up with me?" Jake nodded. "But, you just told me that you loved me."

"That's why I'm breaking up with you." Jake sighed, wiping the tear from her cheek. "You deserve so much better than me."

"Please stop saying that." Olivia placed her hand on his. "Stop bringing yourself down. I love you, Jake Fitzgerald, not Noah. You. I love you."

"God, I'm so in love with you." Jake sighed before kissing her. She kissed him back, gripping onto his hair. His hands landed on her hips. She moved to straddle him, and she giggled. "Are you sure you want to be doing this on you're roof?" Jake asked her, laughing.

"No one's home." She chuckled before kissing him again.

Jake smiled before pulling away. "Be my date to the carnival?"

"What?"

"Well, you're obviously going to be in the final five for lady of the lake, so be my date?" Jake laced his fingers with hers. She nodded, smiling.

Jake looked down at his phone as it beeped. "I-uh- I actually gotta go." He sighed as he started getting up.

"Jake, no."

"I'm sorry, babe. It's not up to me. I love you."

"I love you, too." And he was gone. Olivia didn't know it yet, but those were going to be the last words she ever sad to Jake Fitzgerald.

AN: I'm really sorry that I haven't updated in so long. I feel like this story is really really terrible, so I'll probably discontinue it for awhile. I might start writing a Brooke or Audrey fanfic, as well. I enjoy writing girlxgirl fanfics more than girlxboy anyways.

So, comment what you want to happen in this fanfic during season 2, and don't forget to vote.

Have a nice day, lovelies 💞💞
