~ DOOSH ~

Olivia heard the distinct chatter coming from Emma's headphones. "Em, can you turn that down a little?" Olivia asked her sister as they walked through the high school parking lot. "It's really loud."

"Oh, yeah. Sorry." Emma sighed before turning the volume down.

"Em, hey." Olivia heard Brooke say as her and Riley ran over to them. "Why haven't you answered my texts? I know you've been getting them. They say 'read'."

"Hi, Riley." Emma completely ignored Brooke and kept on walking. Brooke let out a groan and walked beside Olivia.

"What are you listening to?" Riley questioned her friend.

"That True Crimes podcast." Emma told her. "They're covering Nina's murder."

"True Crimes?" Riley's eyes lit up. "I'm like addicted. They have a crazy huge following. I can't believe their talking about our Nina." To be honest, Olivia was even more obsessed with the podcast than Riley, but that was one of her many geek secrets.

"Well, Nina did always love being the center of attention." Olivia sighed as she looked down at all the texts from Jake.

"Yeah, even apparently with Will." Emma snapped.

"Em, wait." Brooke said to her, and Emma stopped walking. "Look, I'm sorry. I should not have dropped Will's indiscretion like that at the party."

"No, you should have told me when you found out." Emma snapped at her.

"I know, I know." Brooke shifted around. "But you know how Nina could be when you crossed her. She'll terrorize you. Seriously, I was scared of her." Emma looked up at her. "Emma, I'm really sorry." Brooke told her, sincerely.

Both Riley and Olivia looked up at Emma with hopeful eyes. "Okay." Emma nodded. "I'm still pissed, but you're on probation."

"Okay, I would do community service for you." Brooke joked. "I'd even wear an ugly orange jumpsuit for you."

"Well, I'm touched." Emma smiled.

"Thank god, I can call off the intervention." Riley smiled as the four continued to walk into the school.

"Hey, have you guys gotten any weird phone calls lately?" Emma quickly changed the subject.

"If by weird you mean Jake calling you a million times, trying to apologize for his idiotic behavior, then yes." Olivia said to her sister.

"That's not what I meant, Olivia." Emma sighed.

"Then no."

"I'm talking about creepy mysterious weird." The three other girls gave her questioning looks. "This guy called me, and said something about how we all pretend to have perfect lives online, on like Instagram and Facebook."

"Then this guy must be ancient if he thinks we still use Facebook." Brooke scoffed as she spoke.

"It's probably just Jake being a douche, once again." Olivia nodded at her sister.

"Yeah, probably." Emma agreed. "Maybe."

Olivia was making her way over to Nina's memorial to see all the weird stuff people wrote when she heard, "There's her best friend, Olivia." She saw Noah running over to her and started to push her closer to the memorial.

"What are you doing?" Olivia asked him.

"You'll see." He pushed her towards Audrey and a girl with glasses, holding a notebook. "Olivia Duval, meet Piper Shaw."

"Piper Shaw?" Olivia's jaw flew open in shock. "I'm absolutely in love with your podcast."

"Aw, thanks." Piper smiled at her. "Now, can you tell me about the real Nina Patterson?"

Before Olivia could answer, Audrey spoke up. "Nina was a stone cold bitch who got what she deserved."

"That's actually sort of what I was gonna say." Olivia nodded.

"That is pretty clear." Piper nodded. "Can I quote the two of you on that?"

"No." Noah answered for them. "No. They're just saying things."

"And what about you?" Piper asked. "Do you have any thoughts on the murder?"

"You know what, I do have a few-"

Noah got cut off by Jake storming in, screaming, "Someone's ass is toast!"

"But maybe some other time." Noah stated as he grabbed Audrey and Olivia and started to move away.

"Noah!" Jake screamed as he stomped over towards the three of them.

"What's up?" Noah asked him casually.

"Was that you, nerd?" Jake snapped at him. "Was that payback for what happened at the lake?"

"What payback?" Olivia asked.

"My truck." Jake was steaming as he shoved his phone into her face. There was a picture of Jake's truck with 'DOOSH' written on it. "It went viral."

"Maybe it was som-"

"Can it Lesbeans." Jake yelled at Audrey as he pushed Noah into the pole.

"Jake, stop it." Olivia tried to pull him off Noah, but desperately failed.

"Do you know anything about this?" Jake questioned as he gripped onto the collar of Noah's sweater.

"No, but it's really just a statement of the decline of our public schools-" Noah's voice cut out as Jake moved his hand to Noah's throat.

"If you did this, I swear to god, you are dead." Jake stated roughly.

"I believe you." Noah nodded before Jake removed his hands, and lightly slapped his cheek.

Jake looked down at Olivia. "Babe, wanna walk to class with me?"

"I think I'll stay with Audrey and Noah." Olivia smiled sweetly at him. "Thanks for the invitation, though." Then, Jake just walked off, angrily.

"You're spelling of douche was an interesting choice." Audrey stated as she helped Noah stand straight up.

"Well, I shouldn't have used the spray stuff." Noah sighed. "I looked like Carrie on prom night by the time I got home."

"I'm gonna head inside." Audrey stated as she looked down at her phone. "You kids have fun." Noah winked at Audrey as she left.

"So, did you really just stand up to Jake for me?" Noah smiled down at Olivia.

"Don't think too much into it." Olivia smiled back up at him. "I always stick up for my friends."

"I thought that Jake was your friend." Noah sighed, his mood shifting.

"You're exactly right." Olivia nodded. "Jake was my friend." Her phone started buzzing, and a gif of someone wearing the Brandon James mask, standing in front of the pool with Nina's dead body in it, turned up.

"What the hell?" Noah questioned as the same thing popped up on his phone. Noah pulled Olivia into a hug.

*

"Alright, guys." Branson stated as the bell rang. "Phones down."

"This Brandon James gif put Lakewood on the map." Jake protested. "We have like seven of the ten top trending hashtags at the moment."

"Jake, maybe you should focus on not failing out of school, and less on our town's web buzz." Olivia stated, and there were a few laughs from around the room.

"No one can resist the murder selfie." Jake smirked at Olivia, who just rolled her eyes.

"Which is what the killer is counting on." Noah continued on from what Jake had been saying.

"Alright, what is this killer's design?" Branson asked Noah.

"Well, murder's a lonely game, you know?" Noah asked the whole class. "Say you're the killer, okay? You get into Nina's house. You stulk around, and scare her, and then you kill her. Boom. But then what? You take a victory lap around the pool? You just stand there watching the blood spread around the water, thinking your crazy guy thoughts?"

"Creepy monologue alert." Brooke sighed.

"So I guess it's no good if he's the only one watching" Riley stated.

"Exactly!" Noah smiled. "It's the age of Instagram, YouTube, tumblr. I mean, we need to share the things we do, or it's like it never happened."

"Riley, phones off." Branson stated.

"Sorry, Mr. B. It's just that my friend who goes to St. Mary's just texted, and a girl who goes they died." Riley told the whole class.

"No way." Olivia sighed. "Who was it?"

"How'd it happen?" Noah asked her.

"It doesn't say." Riley told them as she searched the page for answers to their questions.

"I'm sorry to hear that, Riley." Branson continued to talk. "Why don't we get back to-"

"Uh- I have to- uh-" Audrey stuttered as she stood up, "uh- go to the bathroom." She quickly left the room.

"Actually, let's all take a minute." Branson took back what he had said to his class before.

*

"My friend Hayden goes to St. Mary's," Brooke told the other three girls as they walked over to her locker, "and apparently, Rachel was a train wreck ready to leave the station." Apparently, Rachel, the girl who had been caught making out with Audrey, was the one who killed herself.

"Brooke, she just killed herself, and it's because of me." Olivia snapped at her.

"Olivia, you can't blame yourself for that video." Riley said to her friend. "We were all there that night."

"Yeah but I was there when she was filming the video." Olivia sighed. "I should have made her stop, but I just-"

"We get it, honey." Brooke smiled and pulled her into a hug. "Nina was a bitch. Trust me when I saw that we all knew that."

AN: this is actually like a super long chapter, my goodness. I have so much written for this. It's literally all I do in my free time. I'm in the middle of episode 7.

I hope you guys are enjoying this! Please comment ideas for later chapters, or message me about them. And don't forget to vote on the chapters!

I think I have an idea that I'll like take the Olivia and Jake romance up until Jake gets killed, and then she'll be all Noah's. I like having the relationship development. I think that Noah's learning a lot of things about Olivia, and they're only making his feelings for her grow. Comment what you think below.

Thank you, lovelies! Have a nice day 💞💞
