Part 2: They'll See And They'll Think

Later that night

After whatever credits rolled, we cut to our final girl, Sidney Prescott. As mentioned earlier during part one, she's friends with Y/N, as well as Y/N's friends which makes a friend group of six.

She's currently at home, in her room, glued to the computer screen in front of her. She's typing some type of paragraph in, the black screen shows a reflection of Sidney's brown hair, hazel eyes, and round face.

She's eventually brought out of her focus when a scratching comes from an open window. Sidney takes a quick look, but decides to ignore after silence takes over again. But then there's a bump, and a shatter.

Sidney stands up from her seat, approaching the window with a slight caution. No more sounds come, so Sidney peaks her out, looks left, nothing... Then a hand suddenly grabs her shoulder.

"Hey! Hey." A familiar male voice speaks after Sidney lets out a scream. "It's just me." He comfortably assures her. It's Billy Loomis, her boyfriend.

"Billy, what... what are you doing here?" Sidney frantically asks the man who gave her a scare. Coming in the middle of the night on short notice.

"Sorry, don't hate me." Billy jokingly pleads as he awkwardly crawls his way through the window. He then notice's Sidney's nightgown, causing him to raise a brow. "What, you sleep in that?"

"Yes, I sleep in this! You-" Sidney brushes off his question as she frequently glances to the door of her room. "My dad is in the other room, you can't be in here!" She loudly whispers to him.

"Okay, I'll just stay for a sec." Billy shrugs without lowering his voice. Then there's a door knock, no doubt Sidney's father wondering why there was a scream coming from her room.

Sidney gaps. "Oh no. You gotta go." She enforces as she goes to the front door. Thankfully, the closet door stops the door from opening for her as they both collide with one another.

"What's going on in there?" A male older voice calls out when the door doesn't open all the way. Sidney runs to the door, her head peaking to see her dad on the other side. "Are you okay?" He asks her in a parenting tone.

"Can you knock?"

"I heard screaming." Neil Prescott explains himself, trying to peak behind her, around the room.

"No you didn't." Sidney retorts, denying anything wrong. She tries stopping him, but Neil is able to push the door open, despite the closet door also resisting.

"No?" Neil challenges as soon as the door is open. He does a wide scan, but he and Sidney see that there's nobody there. "Oh, well... I'm hitting the sack, my flight leaves first thing in the morning." He informs her.

"Now, the expo runs all weekend, so I won't be back until Sunday." He continues, letting her know she'll be home alone for at least a week. "There's cash on the table, and I'm staying..."

"Raleigh Hilton." Sidney knowingly finishes.

Sidney's dad nods. "...Out at the airport. So call if..."

"If I need anything." Sidney finishes again. "Yeah, I got it."

"I could've sworn I heard screaming..." Neil remarks, giving a playfully suspicious look. Sidney's face scutches up and she distracts him with a kiss on the cheek.

"Have a good trip, okay?" Sidney politely wishes for her dad, who decides to let her off the hook this once.

"Sleep tight, sweetie." Neil wishes her good night as he heads back to his bedroom. Leaving her daughter to her devices.

Sidney shuts the door, a motherly look on her face, trying to look for Billy, when her toy bear emerges from the side of her bed. "Woah, close call." Billy comically does his impression of the teddy bear.

"Billy, what are you doing here?" Sidney interrogates with a relieved look, knowing his dad doesn't really like Billy.

"Well, It accorded to me that...I never snuck through your bedroom window." Billy brings up as he casually walks around the room.

"Right, and... and now that's it's out of your system..." She beckons at said window, causing Billy to give her a disappointed look.

Neil Prescott shuts the door behind him with an amused sigh. He's fully aware of who she's dating, but so far, Billy hasn't done anything to hurt his daughter, and he's going to be gone for a while, so he'll leave them to whatever they're gonna do, this time.

He ignores the sudden creek he hears, way too tired to care right now, knowing he's got a busy few days. He's about to take off his jacket when...

"Hey, daddy-o." A stranger's voice whispers behind him.

He can't react as Neil feels a blow to the back of his skull, the pain causes him to lose consciousness. There's a thump as his head hits the floor.

"You know, I was at home watching the television. The uh...." Billy starts, playing with his fingers, as he seems to be trying to remember the name. "The 'Exorcist' was on. Got me thinking of you..."

"It did?"

"Yeah, was edited for TV, you know, all the good stuff was cut out." He says with a dissatisfied voice. "It got me thinking of us. You know, two years ago, we started off hot and heavy. Nice solid R rating, on our way to an nc-17... And now, things have changed and....Lately, we're just sort of 'Edited for television.' " He voices his thoughts.

"Oh, so you thought you would climb my window, and we would have a little raw footage?" She jokingly questions.

"No, no. I wouldn't dream of breaking your underwear rule." Billy promises, not wanting to sound like he's forcing her. "It's just... I was hoping we could do a little on top with the clothes stuff?"

Sidney thinks on it for a moment, before sitting herself on the bed. "Okay." She then answers. Billy's face grows excited.

"Yeah?"

"Yeah." She nods, giving him permission to close in, and begin kissing her. Sidney wraps her arms around Billy's neck as he slowly lays her down on the bed.

They open their eyes, and exchange a smile. Billy moves one of his hands to hold Sidney's as they continue to make out. Another one then goes up Sindey's leg, causing her to stop it and pull her gown back down. "Okay, times up stud bucket." She stops him as Billy snaps out of it.

"Gosh, you see what you do to me?" Billy remarks as they both laugh it off, sitting themselves back up.

"You know what my dad will do to you..?" Sidney hints, gesturing towards the door. Billy nods, knowingly.

"Yeah, I'm going." Billy awkwardly stands up, and steps to the window where he originally came in. They hold hands again before giving a goodbye kiss before Billy eventually crawls through the window.

"Hey." Sidney calls Billy, stopping him for a moment. "You know, I appreciate the romantic gesture..." She drawls out, giving him a apologetic look.

"Hey, about the uh... sex stuff." Billy assures her. "Now, I'm not trying to rush you at all. I was only half serious."

"Okay." Sidney chuckles, giving Billy a forgiving hold of the shoulder. There's another goodbye kiss before he goes to leave.

"Hey, Billy." She stops him again, this time he's out of the window by now. "Would you settle for a PG-13 relationship?" She compromises.

"What's that?" Bill asks with a curious look. Sidney then loosens a button of her nightgown and shows off a side of her chest. Billy's jaw drops at the sudden boob flash, causing them to both chuckle. "My gosh, you're a tease." He jokes before exiting for good this time.

As soon as his feet touches the grass, Billy's mask drops, she almost makes him feel bad for all this, almost. He enters his car where Y/N is waiting for him with a confirming smirk. "You got him?" Billy asks anyway.

"Yeah, he's in the trunk. Taped up and everything." Y/N confirms, pointing at the back. He then leans back in the passenger seat, looking a little tired. "You know, I envy you sometimes."

Billy glances at him, but doesn't reply, knowing he's talking about his girlfriend. "Hope you're ready, because we have a whole movie ahead of us." He tells Y/N, who laughs.

"Can't wait."

Morning passes, and Woodsboro high school has now become the latest hit. The place is plagued with newscasters delivering their pitch on the latest double homicide of Casey Becker and Steve Orth.

Students have to be careful not to walk right in front of a cameraman as they make their way to school. Some of course, take the moment to do something silly behind the reporter as they walk past.

For the younger ones, parents hold their children protectively as they bring them to school, trying their best to distract them with other things when they ask their parents why there's news vans everywhere.

Even police have set up some kind of line, making sure students are taking the sidewalk, or bridge when they cross the road. It puts the uneasy feeling on Sidney as she looks around at all the commotion. Her eye catches a familiar yellow dress worn by the well-known Gale Weathers, who's currently reporting on the murders herself with a professional voice.

Gale Weathers was the reporter who covered her mother's death almost a year ago, she's also a famous book author who's done works based on these particular cases. She's one of the bold ones, who take more serious cases, and delivers hot takes many wouldn't risk voicing publicly.

"A smalltown, Woodsboro California was devastated last night, when two young teenagers were found brutally murdered." Gale Weathers starts her report, Sidney tries listening to more as to figure out what the fuss is about. "Authorities have yet issue a statement, but our sources tell us that no arrest has been made and the murderer could strike again."

A sudden tap on her shoulder takes Sidney out of outer space, causing her to slightly jump. "Can you believe this shit?" It's her best friend, Tatum Riley.

"Tatum, what is going on?" Sidney asks her, gesturing to the dozens of news vans and police outside.

"You don't know?" Another familiar voice says as he approaches the two. Randy's best friend, Y/N L/N, wearing his infamous (Choice of clothes). "Casey Becker and Steve Orth were killed last night." He explains to her.

"What!? No way." Sidney exclaims, they both nod confirming.

"And we're not just talking killed, we're talking 'splatter movie' killed." Tatum specifies the gory details. "Ripped open, from end, to end."

"Casey Becker, she sits next to me and Y/N in English." Sidney brings up. Y/N makes a cringe face at the thought.

"Well, not anymore." Tatum remarks. "So sad, her mom and dad. They found her hanging from a tree, her insides on the outside." She tells her with a disgusted face.

"Oh my gosh." Sidney says, shocked. "Do they know who did it?"

Y/N chuckles. "Fuck no, they're clueless. That's why this place is Fort Knoxed, the police are going through the entire school, interrogating everyone."

"They think it's school related?" Sidney questions surprised.

"They don't know." Tatum answers, signalizing how lost the police are. "I mean, Dewey was saying this is the worst crime they've seen in years. I mean, even worse than..." Tatum cuts herself off, Y/N gives a knowing frown. 'Worse than Maureen Prescott's murder' was what she was going to say.

"So yeah, it's bad." Y/N says to break the awkward silence. Thankfully, the bell helps do it for him. "See ya in the interrogation room, Sid." He jokes as he and Tatum head to class.

School's different then usual. The halls that originally echoed with banter from students has now gone unnervingly quieter.

English class is no different, the loud students don't even bother talking as everyone sits down like a robot following commands. Some seem uncaring by the recent news, others seem scared, worried that Gale's might be right, the murderer could strike again.

Sidney keeps glancing at where Casey originally sat, an uncomfortable feeling retching at her gut. Y/N notices and follows her look, a seemingly guilty expression on his face.

"You know, I admitted I hated her guts..." Y/N drawls out, snapping Sidney out of it as she turns to him. "...But I didn't want her dead."

Sidney doesn't say anything, she can tell they both feel the same way, as that bad feeling returns. A student comes in, passing a note to the teacher. "Sidney." The teacher calls to. "It would appear to be your turn." She tells her in a shaking voice.

Sidney picks up her backpack and leaves the classroom, sparing one last glance at Casey's chair before she goes.

"Who's up next?" The Sheriff, Burke asks the Principal, Arthur Himbry. They wait in the principal's office as each student/teacher walks in.

"Y/N L/N, I'm sure you recognize his last name." Himbry replies. "He's the one who's mother passed away some time ago, and his father went missing a couple years later..." He specifies.  "So now he's living with his aunt and uncle."

Right on time, the teen in question walks in the office. "Ah, there he is. Thank you." He politely dismisses the counselor who brought him. "Y/N, take a seat." he gestures to the open chair facing the two policemen.

"Hello, Y/N." Burke greets with a polite smile, as protocol demands. Y/N returns it, seemingly unbothered by everything that's happened.

"Sheriff Burke." Y/N acknowledges. "And Dewey, my man."

"That's Deputy Riley today, Y/N." Dewey, the brother of Tatum corrects, saying the same thing he told Sidney earlier. Y/N shrugs, as Deputy Riley writes some stuff on his notebook.

"How have you been, Y/N? Been getting used to living with your aunt and uncle?" Burke safely asks Y/N.

"I have, life's been pretty good, actually." Y/N answers. The Sheriff nods to that.

"Good to hear."

"Alright, so this will be brief." Himbry informs Y/N. "The Police will ask you a few questions, and I expect you to be as honest as possible."

Y/N nods, trying not to groan, he sits in his chair patiently.....

____________________________________________

"-Remember your principal loves you and I want you to be safe." Himbry's voice rings out on the speakers. "All students are encouraged to return to their homes promptly from school grounds. Avoid strangers, walk in two or three-"

Meanwhile, the rest of the gang, including Randy Meeks, Billy Loomis, and Stu Macher hang at the school fountain. The recent investigation obviously being a topic of conversation as they snack on grapes and almonds.

"So what kinda questions did they ask you Sid?" Tatum asks her best friend, as her shoulder is surrounded by Stu's arm.

"Well, they asked me if I knew Casey." Sidney answers.

"Yeah, they asked me that too."

"They ask you, if you liked to hunt?" Stu brings up. Sidney shakes her head no, slightly confused as to how he got that.

"Yeah, they did." Billy confirms. "They ask you?" He asks in return, and the rest of the boys nod.

"Hunt? Why would they ask you if you liked to hunt?" Tatum inquires, apparently having not gotten that question.

"Because their bodies were gutted." Randy explains, reminding her as he takes a grape.

"Yeah, they even hung them up like that killer from 'The Mutilator' did in his garage. " Y/N adds on, referencing the slasher movie. "Though I guess that's every slasher villain ever."

"Thank you, guys." Billy sarcastically responds. Y/N playfully shrugs as he pops another grape in his mouth.

"They didn't ask me if I like to hunt." Tatum mentions.

"That's because there's no way a girl could've killed them." Stu brings up out of nowhere, earning a glare from his girlfriend.

"That is so sexist, the killer could easily be female. 'Basic Instinct'?" Tatum references the movie.

"That was an ice pick, not exactly the same thing." Randy retorts.

"Yeah, Casey and Steve were completely hallowed out." Stu exaggerates. "And the fact that it takes a man to do something like that."

"Besides, isn't the mystery killer like, always a man?" Y/N adds on to Stu's argument. "I mean, they tried making it an old lady with 'Friday the 13th' and look how long that lasted."

"I mean, that was because her head was taken clean off, but I see your point." Randy shrugs, slightly agreeing.

"Sounds like a man's mortality to me..." Tatum remarks. Despite the others mostly still face-up about the whole thing, Sidney looks somewhat disturbed, even more the fact when she asks a sudden question.

"How do you gut someone?" Sidney queries, successfully bring the smirk off of the boy's faces. The question almost kills the mood until Stu gets his smile back.

"You take a knife..." Stu begins, causing everyone's eyes to fall right on him. "And you slit 'em from groin to sternum-"

"Hey, it's called tact, you fuckrag." Billy cuts him off as he and Y/N glare at him, Sidney looks close to retching.

"Hey Y/N, didn't you used to date Casey?" Sidney brings up, bringing the attention on him.

"Yeah, for like two seconds." Y/N humorously answers, shrugging as he tries to hide the insecurity inside.

"Until she dumped him for Steve." Randy asserts, earning himself a light punch from Y/N.

"Fuck you, dude."

"I thought you dumped her for someone else...?" Tatum asks, surprised. "Like the other five girls..."

"Uh oh, looks like Y/N's heart-breaking streek has ended~" Stu teasingly declares, earning another glare from Y/N.

"Yeah? Well, if Steve showed up and swept Tatum off her feet, I'm sure she would've dumped your sorry ass also." Y/N shoots back and Stu's smirk drops.

"And are the police aware that you dated the victim?" Randy playfully interrogates. Y/N looks at him surprised.

"What? Are you saying I killed her?" Y/N points at himself in disbelief. "Bro, my 'check the clock every second' aunt can confirm I was at home in bed."

"Oh yeah? Was that before or after you sliced and diced?" Rany prods. Y/N gives him a look, none of them noticing Sidney getting uncomfortable.

"Says the nutcase who should recall that I was also at work with him." Y/N testifies.

"Work? What, at the video store? I thought they fired his sorry ass." Tatum chimes in.

"Twice." Randy proudly adds before eating an almond with a grin.

"Tch... I still didn't kill anyone." Y/N maintain, faking a disappointed look at Randy.

"Nobody said you did." Billy assures him.

"Yeah, the rest of us know he's full of shit." Stu adds with a pat on the back, and Y/N turns to him with an amused snort.

"Besides, 'it takes a man to do something like that.' " Randy does his best frat boy impression, mocking Stu, who gives him an unamused glare.

"Yo, I'm gonna gut your ass in a second kid." Stu playfully threatens.

"Hey Y/N, tell me something."

"I swear Randy, if you do that dumb ass voice-"

"Did you really put her liver in the mailbox, cuz I heard they found her liver in the mailbox, along with her spleen and her pancreas." Randy does the silly voice anyway. Y/N grabs his face in embarrassment, looking close to choking him out.

"Yeah, I also carved out Steve's six-pack along with it." Y/N aggressively, but jokingly answers. "Your little head is gonna be on the list in a minute."

That takes whatever patience Sidney has left, and she rushes off, giving her boyfriend a kiss before she does. "Hey, you goon-fucks, we're trying to eat here." Tatum criticizes the two.

"Uh oh, you two got her mad. You better liver alone!" Stu jokes like the doofus he is, apparently not noticing Sidney's absence. Everyone turns to stare at him, but no one is laughing. Frustrated, Billy pokes Stu in the ribs.  "Ow! Liver, liver? Li- It was a joke..."

"Liver?"
