2: The Proposal (Merricup)
Merida and Hiccup were well into their relationship, in fact, it was three years now and hiccup was going to propose tonight.
Jack and Elsa were together for longer, but they were taking it really slow, which made Hiccup feel like he was proposing too fast.
Flynn and Rapunzel haven't talked to their friends in a couple months, actually, because they have two kids and are currently raising a family.
Anna and Kristoff are currently expecting.

Hiccup was planning on proposing tonight, after a dinner with Merida at her favorite resteraunt, watching fireworks with everyone-even Punzie and Flynn-for the New Year. Even though he was nervous, and wasn't sure he could do it, he knew he had to try, even if it didn't work out.
Hiccup woke up to the annoying sound of his alarm going off which was multiple high beeps in a constant beat. He turned and slammed the button, tiredly moaning. Hiccup slowly pulled the plaid blanket of himself, using the least amount of energy as possible, and rolled out of bed.
He walked to his bathroom and splashed some water on to his face to wake him up. It did work; It felt very refreshing, too.
He went back into his bedroom and glanced at his calendar. "December..." His eyes went blurry and then refocused, "thirty-first." And on December 31st, there was writing in all capital letters that said "THE PROPOSAL!!!" in blue ink with circles around it.
"The proposal..." He dazed off for a second and paused his thinking. "THE PROPOSAL!!! It's today!!! And so is New Years...I can't believe this, am I ready? Is Merida ready? Will she say yes? Will she say no?" Questions overloaded his mind. "Uhh...Stop. Calm down. It's not for a while. You still have what," He checked his alarm clack again; It was eight o'clock. "ten hours. You are fine, you are confident! You are Hiccup Haddock, and Merida will agree to be my Fiancé!"
He just said that to help himself. He didn't mean it. He wasn't confident, nor fine. Inside, he was panicking. He had never talked Merida about getting married, except this one time where they talked for hours, and then it ended up as a make out session.
The day went by really fast. Until, it was dinner time. Hiccup led Merida to the front of the restaurant.
"Ok. You can open your eyes now."
"Oh. My. God. Hicc, ya are the best boyfriend evah!" Her twirled around in her plaid dress. She was only in it because she knew that Hiccup was taking her to dinner. She kissed him and then turned back around. The resteraunt was a seafood place- Everything Crab. Honestly, Hiccup didn't like working for his food, but he knew Merida would die for this stuff.
They went inside and sat down at a small booth for two.
"I wouldn't have worn dis stupid dress if you woulda tol' meh we were goin' 'ere!" She punched his arm and then stuffed the top of the paper bib that the resteraunt had provided for them in her neck collar.
"I thought you were going to wear a plaid shirt and jeans!" Hiccup returned playfully.
"Not on a fancy date with my boyfriend!"
Boyfriend. Not for long (and hopefully not in the bad way).
"What would you like?" A waitress said as she came to their booth with a tiny notebook and a pen out.
"Crab for two, please." Merida smiled.
The date went wonderfully, and then they headed up a hill to get ready for the fireworks.
Hiccup set his basket down, and pulled out a soft blue blanket and set it down on the almost-perfect grass. Hiccup and Merida were greeted by their friends-Elsa, Jack, Punzie, Flynn, Anna, and Kristoff. Also, there was Rapunzel and Flynn's kids, but they were too involved in their game of tag to notice them.
But then Hiccup realized. Toothless. Jack said he would bring him.
"Where's Toothless?" Hiccup asked nervously. He wanted everyone to support him on this,
especially his best friend.
"Um, he..." Jack trailed off then got back on track "got dragon's flu."
"Ok.." He was probably lying.
The fireworks started popping in the clear night sky. Bright colors like pink and lime green filled the empty space and left faint clouds behind them.
Ok Hiccup. This is your chance. Just pull the ring out and when she looks at you, she will see it.
He started to pull the rounded black box out of his pocket. Merida still gazed at the fireworks, the colors reflecting on her face. He made the box out of his pocket and then he turned to look at the fireworks one last time.
And guess who was making the grand finale.
Toothless.
Toothless was glowing blue and leaving a trail of light behind him. He was writing something.
M-E-R-I-D-A
great.
W-I-L-L
How could he have not know this?
Y-O-U
*sighs*
M-A-R-R-Y
That's toothless for ya.
M-E-?
"Welp. That happened." Anna blurted out.
"It did!" Merida covered her mouth with her hands. "Oh my gosh, Oh my gosh, Oh my gosh!"
Hiccup finally pulled out the ring and opened it. The diamonds sparkled in the moonlight and Merida was hesitant.
"Wait."
Uh-oh.
"Yes!!" She exlaimed about 10 times. Merida took the ring out of the box and put it on her hand. It fitted perfectly.
