------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A week and a half later...

Gavin let out a sigh as he sat on his couch, tv remote in hand. He was watching some Animal Planet, with there currently being a documentary on Great White Sharks on.

As he did so, he noticed movement out of the corner of his eye, and smiled. "Hey SCP-1471-A," He said to the smiling SCP, who waved at him again from around the corner, its head peaking out to look at him. 'I still can't believe this is what happens after 90 hours of exposure to SCP-1471,' He thought as he turned his attention back to the TV.

He had first noticed SCP-1471-A being in the corner of his vision several days before, and had immediately asked Dr. Miller about it. He had then been informed that it was permanent, and he would forever visualize SCP-1471-A in his peripheral vision, reflective surfaces, and in a combination of the two. He would also continue to receive text messages from MalO, which consisted of pictures of him in real time with SCP-1471-A around him somewhere.

It hadn't been easy to adjust to this new situation he was in, as he'd constantly jolt a little every time he spotted the SCP out of the corner of his eyes. But, he was slowly starting to get used to it.

The only thing that really bothered him at all was that he never could see the rest of SCP-1471-A's body. It was always blocked by some object, whether it be a corner, his shoulder, a chair, or something else. So he had no idea if it was a male or a female.

'I wonder if maybe the SCP's nervous?' he pondered as he watched the documentary. 'Or it's teasing me?'

As he sat there, the front door opened, and Dr. Miller walked inside. "Hello Dr. Miller," he greeted the scientist as he put the TV on mute. "What brings you to my home today?"

"Well, I have some news for you," She replied as she sat down in the chair next to the couch. "First off, you'll be resuming testing in another week. We want to make sure that everyone's safe when you sing, and we're getting close at figuring out a solution."

"Good," he said with a nod. "I still can't believe that others saw and heard my singing."

"Well, they did," She replied. "We are fortunate that only Foundation employees, SCPs, and D-class witnessed it."

"Right," he replied. "So, what other news do you have?"

"Well, that's the interesting thing," She said, crossing her legs as she looked at him. "You see, a couple SCPs want to see you, no doubt a result of your singing incident from a week and a half ago."

"What?" he said with surprise, having not expected to hear that. "Which ones?"

"Hmm, well, first off, there's SCP-795," She stated as she opened one file in her hands and looked at it. "It's nothing too dangerous. It's just a domestic cat with telepathic capabilities and minor reality-altering abilities."

"'Reality-altering?'" he repeated with confusion. "How so?"

"Hmm, well, in its file it says that 'it can change the physical form of any living creature it is able to observe, within a range of 30 meters. Typically, it will transform anything it considers friendly into another cat in order to play with it. Anything considered unfriendly or dangerous is transformed into a prey animal and then killed and eaten. It can also make telepathic suggestions to humans within the above range of effect,'" She read. "'It can also transfer its abilities to other cats within that range, but this affect is temporary and dissipates within three hours of separation from SCP-795.'"

"Oh," he said with some surprise. "I see. What's the other SCP?"

"Let me look," She replied as she closed the file and went on to the second one, having just gotten it a couple minutes ago. She then arched an eyebrow with surprise. "It's...SCP-173?!"

"'SCP-173?'" He repeated, "Now why does that sound familiar?"

"Why...Why are you being requested to see this SCP?" She said with confusion as she looked at the SCP's file. "It's quite dangerous."

"Dangerous how?" he asked her, still trying to figure out why the name/designation was so familiar to him.

"It's a killer," She replied. "It strangles people and breaks their necks."

"Oh my," He said with wide eyes. "That is dangerous." He then gained a thoughtful look on his face. "Tell me, what does it look like?"

"It's an odd statue," She replied. "Made of concrete and rebar."

"An odd statue," he muttered, before his eyes widened. "Ohhhh! I know what you're talking about!"

"You do?"

"Yeah! It was the first and only SCP I encountered when I was D-class," he replied.

"Ah, right," Dr. Miller said, remembering that he had indeed met an SCP while D-class, even though he had only been a D-class for a day before his first ability appeared.

"Why do they want me to encounter that one again?" he asked her with curiosity.

"I'm not really sure," She replied as she looked at the file. "There's nothing here explaining why they want you to encounter it again. I'll ask the researchers overseeing the SCP when we go there later today."

"Alright," Gavin said with understanding. "So, I'm guessing we're going to SCP-795?"

"Correct," She replied, prompting him to turn off the TV and get up from the couch.

"Well then, let's go," he said, making her smile as she got up, before she led him out of his cell.

They were immediately joined by guards, and went down a few hallways, and a few stairs, before they reached a doorway that had a sign next to it reading "SCP 795. Object Class: Euclid." Below that sign was another small sign that read "Mind-Affecting and Transfigurational."

When they stepped though the doorway, they found themselves entering a decently sized room that had several documents and science equipment in it, as well as several scientists.

"Ah, Doctor Miller!" A middle aged Caucasian woman with greying hair and glasses over her grey eyes called out with a smile as she approached them, drawing the attention of the other scientists as well. "So glad you could make it!"

"It's good to see you as well Doctor Leyner," Miller replied as he shook her hand, before gesturing to Gavin. "This is-"

"-SCP-10,000," She finished for him as she looked Gavin up and down. "Huh, I gotta admit, you're not what I expected."

"And what were you expecting?" he asked her.

"Someone a bit skinnier," She replied, making him arch an eyebrow.

"Really?" he said with some surprise. "I'm not fat, am I?" He said to Dr. Miller, who shook her head.

"Relax, I'm only joking," Dr. Leyner replied with a chuckle. "You look fine."

"Oh thank goodness," Gavin said with relief. "Don't scare me like that. I don't want to be fat."

"Right," Dr. Leyner said with a look that said she might listen, or possibly not. "Anyways, ready to meet SCP-795?"

"Um, yeah, I guess," he replied.

"Good," She said with a smile, before she pushed open a nearby containment door set next to a large observation window and gestured for him to go through it. "Right this way."

"Okay," He replied as he stepped through the door and found himself in another room that looked similar to the previous one, but with no furniture in it at all. Said room appeared to be about 32 feet wide and about 16 feet long, and had walls made of plexiglass.

The door in this room was made of plexiglass, and had a standard electronic lock on it. Beyond this room was another plexiglass room that looked relatively empty, except for some cat toys and cushions. Said room also appeared to be a bit larger, being about 100 feet long and 16 feet wide. Another plexiglass door sat in the far wall of the room, leading to yet another room that appeared to be the same size as the previous one. And it had furniture in it, with him seeing a couple cat trees, a large couch, a large rug, and several cat toys. There was another room beyond it that looked smaller than the one he was currently in, looking half as long. In that room he could faintly see a large black shape moving around, which led him to believe that the shape in fact SCP-795. There was also a large cat bed and some food bowls.

"So, now what?" He said with confusion, before he heard Dr. Leyner speak on an intercom into the containment unit.

"SCP-795, I got the singer."

That caught the black shape's attention, and he saw it run towards the door, which then swung open, letting the black shape out.

Said black shape was indeed a cat. The cat appeared to be rather large, and was completely black. It appeared to be a long-haired domestic cat of some sort, with bright yellow eyes.

The cat ran through the room over to the next door and began to scratch at it eagerly.

As soon as it reached the door, Gavin heard a young, female voice say in his mind, "I want to see him! Let me in! Let me in!"

Then, the door the cat was at opened, and the cat meowed happily, before she ran over to the plexiglass wall Gavin was standing behind, and sat on her haunches as she looked at him.

"So, you're the singer?" The cat asked him mentally, prompting him to nod.

"Yeah, I am," he replied. "Why'd you want to see me?"

"So we can play!" She exclaimed happily in his head, her tail flicking side to side happily. "But first, let's get you out of those stuffy clothes!"

Gavin's eyes widened. "What?" he said, before the cat growled angrily a bit.

"Why aren't you a cat?!" The cat said with some frustration.

"I don't know," he replied, shrugging as he spoke.

"Grrrrrr! Fine then, if you won't be a cat, then I'll make you into a mouse!" She growled as she looked at Gavin.

"A mouse?!" he exclaimed with shock. "Isn't that a bit extreme?"

The cat didn't respond though, instead only growling with more frustration as she stared at him.

"SCP-6000, what's wrong?"

"Oh, she said she's going to turn me into a mouse since she can't turn me into a cat," He replied, making all researcher's eyes widen.

"She couldn't turn you into a cat?!"

"According to her, yes," He replied, before the cat growled again, catching his attention.

"Grrrrr! Why won't you change?!" The cat exclaimed with frustration. "Why?! Why?! Why?!"

"I don't know! Maybe I'm immune?" He suggested.

"Well, if I can't change you, then I'll change me!" The cat exclaimed, confusing him.

"Wait, what?" He asked, before his eyes widened as the cat began to glow a bright blue, like a Pokemon starting to evolve. "What in the hell is going on here?!" He exclaimed, taking a couple steps back from the glowing cat in surprise.

The cat's body began to grow larger and glow brighter, making him have to shield his eyes as the cat continued to glow. 'Kami, what is going on?' He thought with confusion.

"I thought SCP-795 couldn't change itself," He heard one scientist say to another behind him.

"It seems it lied to us about that," The other scientist replied in a somewhat frustrated tone.

"Or it didn't know," A third scientist suggested.

"In any case, this is undocumented," Dr. Leyner replied. "Make sure to get this down."

After about ten seconds, the light disappeared, prompting him to lower his hands. He then looked at where the cat had been, only for his eyes to widen in shock while he heard the scientists gasp and marvel at the sight before them.

The cat had changed into an anthro! She stood 5 feet 4 inches tall and had a very curvaceous figure, with bowling-ball-sized breasts with thick pink nipples, a pair of cantaloupe-sized breasts below them, wide hips, and a large ass, as well as thick thighs. She also appeared to be around 18 years old.

She then opened her eyes, and smiled upon seeing him. "Now that I've changed, we can play meow!" She exclaimed as she pressed herself against the plexiglass.

'Good Kami she's hot!' He thought as he stared at her, his face turning red at the sight of her naked and sexy body, before quickly looking away.

"What's the matter meow?" She said upon seeing him look away. "Don't you want to play?"

"W-What do you mean by that, exactly?" he said, feeling a bit flustered. 'Please don't say what I think you might say.'

"Play! With the ball, and shiny stick!" The cat replied with excitement, causing Gavin to let out a sigh, looking quite relieved.

'Oh thank god!' he thought. "Well, I'd be happy to play, but I think you need to put on clothes first."

"No! No clothes!" The cat replied emphatically with a shake of her head, stamping one paw down firmly. "Me hate clothes. They itchy! And hot!"

"Oh," He said, surprised to hear that while at the same time cursing in his head. 'FFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCKKKKKKK!' "Well, uh, that sucks."

"Can we play nyow?" She asked him with a tilt of her head, which made his heart melt a little.

'Dammit she looks so adorable doing that!' He cursed as he did his best to not get a boner. "Um, that's up to these guys here," he replied as he gestured to the scientists behind him. "So, what do you guys say?"

"Hmmm, I'm not sure," One scientist said, before turning to Dr. Leyner. "What do you think Dr. Leyner?"

"Hmmm," Leyner hummed with thought as she looked at the situation before her. 'Tricky. Very tricky,' She thought, remaining silent for a few minutes, while SCP-795's tail started to flick from side to side, showing she was growing impatient. She knew that the protocols dictated that non-D-class personnel were forbidden from directly interacting with the SCP.

Finally, she sighed. "He can go in," She replied, making SCP-795 meow happily, while Gavin gulped nervously.

"Are you sure Doctor?"

"I am," Dr. Leyner replied firmly as she reached over to a button on the table and pressed it, unlocking the door separating the room Gavin was in from the room the cat SCP was in. "The door's now unlocked," She said into the intercom, which made the cat SCP smile and meow before she reached over and grabbed the knob.

"But this is against protocol."

"Don't worry about the repercussions. I will take full responsibility," Dr. Leyner replied as they watched the situation play out before them.

'Oh boy,' Gavin thought as she opened the door, before she stepped inside and walked up to him with a smile on her face.

"Nyow, let's play!" She said as she grabbed his hand and started walking to the door, pulling him behind her.

'Sweet Kami, I'm going to be playing with a cute catgirl!' He thought as they stepped through the door into the next room, which then shut and locked itself. 'This is going to be interesting.'

She quickly led him over to the next room, with her tail gently waving behind her, while the door shut and locked itself, before she let go of his hand. "Play! Play!" She exclaimed happily as she ran over to a nearby box full of cat toys and grabbed a large black stick with lots of shiny strands of plastic attached to it. "Shiny stick Meow!" She giggled happily as she skipped back over to him, making him blush as her large tits bounced and jiggled.

She then held out the stick to him excitedly, wanting him to take it.

"Um, alright," He replied as he took the stick from her, before waving it around in front of her. Immediately, her eyes narrowed as she locked onto the shiny plastic moving around, and she got down on her knees as she followed it, which was rather cute to see.

"Shiny," She whispered as she focused on it, before she started wiggling her hips, getting ready to pounce.

After he moved it around a few more times, she leaped at the plastic, and grabbed it with her mouth, failing to realize that since she was so much bigger than usual, she had a larger momentum. Said momentum made her land on top of Gavin and push him to the ground, with him letting out an "OOF!" before his eyes widened as he felt two round orbs press against his face.

'Oh come on!' he cried in his mind as he gently pushed her off him, removing her breasts from his face. 'Seriously?! Are you trying to get me in trouble with Selina?!'

"I caught it!" The catgirl said happily as she chewed on the plastic, a smile on her face. "Yay! Let's play again!"

"Um, alright," Gavin replied, doing his best to not pop a boner. "But let's play with something else," he continued, before he spotted a small metal mouse with a button on the top with it. "Like this," he said as he grabbed the metal mouse and pressed the button, making a red dot appear on the floor nearby.

The catgirl gasped with shock, dropping the plastic stick, before she started stalking the red dot, crawling on her hands and knees. "Red bug," She said, sounding almost like she was hypnotized, which made him chuckle a bit before he made the red dot move a bit further away. "Gonnya get you," She said quietly as she hunched down a bit more, before she leaped at the dot. "Gotcha!" She said happily, before gaining a confused look on her face as the red dot appeared to her right. "What? But I caught you!" She said, sounding a bit frustrated, before she went to grab the dot, only for it to move further away. "Hey! Get back here!" She cried as she started running after the red dot, which Gavin made go all over the room while he chuckled.

He continued to move the red dot around for several more minutes, before he eventually stopped it on the floor again, while the catgirl growled and pounced on it. "I GOT YOU!" She exclaimed happily as her hands went onto the red dot, while Gavin let go of the button, turning off the laser pointer. "Finyally! The red bug is mine!" She continued, laughing happily before she opened her hand, and gained a confused look on her face. "Wha? Where is it?!" She exclaimed as she stared at her hands. "Where is it?! I just had it!"

"Um, isn't that the red bug over there?" Gavin said as he turned on the pointer and aimed it at the far end of the room. "By the wall?"

"Huh?" She said as she looked to where he was pointing his hand, before her eyes widened with shock. "But how?!" She exclaimed as she stood up again, her tail flicking side to side. "It was just here!" She continued, before she started stomping her foot and clenched her fists. "NYO NYO NYO NYO NYO! I had it! It was mine! It's nyot fair!" She shouted, surprising Gavin. "I'd finyally caught it after all these years! And it decides to mock me by escaping again?! Graaaaah!" She shouted, clearly not happy.

'Okaaaay, maybe I shouldn't have done that,' He thought as he set the laser pointer back down. 'She's a bit passionate about it apparently.' "Hey, calm down," he said to her. "You'll catch it again!"

"Yeah, and it'll escape me once again meow!" She replied, a large frown on her face as she looked at him, as well as tears in her eyes. "It's not fair!"

'Oh dear kami!' Gavin thought with wide eyes. 'Please don't start crying! I don't think I could handle that!' "Well, you do know that there's a secret to catching the red bug, right?" he said, deciding to help her out. 'Oh, please don't let this bite me in the ass!'

"Really?!" The catgirl said with wide eyes, instantly perking up upon hearing that. "Tellmetellmetellme!" She shouted as she ran over and jumped onto him, making him let out an "Oof!"

"I will, I will," he replied, doing his best to not stare at her large chest, which was almost impossible to do, as it was right in his face. "Just let me sit up first."

"Alright, meow!" She said, meowing as she sat on his lap, letting him sit up.

"Thank you," He replied as he sat up, looking at her face as he grabbed the nearby laser pointer. "Well, to catch the red bug, you should know what exactly it is."

"But I already knyow what is is! It's a bug!" She replied firmly.

"Heh, actually you're wrong about that," he said, making her eyes widen with surprise. "It's not a bug. In fact, it's not even alive."

"'Nyot alive?'" She repeated, before a fearful look appeared on her face. "It's a ghost?!" She exclaimed as she wrapped her arms around him and pulled him tightly against her. "NYO! I'm scared of ghosts Meow!"

"No, no, it's not a ghost," Gavin replied with a red face as he pushed himself back away from her chest. 'Dear Kami those are soft!' "It's something else."

"What?!" The catgirl said with fear.

"It's actually a light."

The catgirl blinked a few times upon hearing that, before a surprised look appeared on her face. "Really?!"

"Yep!" He said, before showing her the laser pointer. "You see, there's some energy in here that is activated when you press this button," he continued, pointing at the button on the pointer. "And when you press it, it creates the red dot of light you see," he said as he pressed the button, causing the red dot to appear on the couch next to him.

"Oh my, meow!" She said with wide eyes as she stared at the red dot. "The red bug is back!"

"You mean 'red light,'" he replied, before she turned back to him, a confused look on her face. "What is it?"

"If it nyot red bug and red light instead, then why do humans use it to play with cats meow?" She asked him, causing him to sigh.

"Because it's entertaining," he replied. "It's fun to watch you guys freak out over it."

"Well, it's not fun for us!" The catgirl replied with a frown, which made her look even cuter. "We start doubting ourselves on our catching and pouncing abilities."

"Well, you can't exactly tell us that," he replied. "I mean, yes, you can, but other cats can't. They can't talk like you do."

"Right, meow," The catgirl replied, frowning a bit more at that.

"So, I won't use the laser pointer anymore," he said. "Since you don't like it."

That made her smile, and she leaned forward, before she started rubbing her forehead against his. "Um, what are you doing?" he asked her as he leaned back, with her following him.

"I'm just thanking you meow," She replied as she continued to rub her head against his, before she started to purr. "What's your nyame?"

"Um, Gavin," He answered, surprised that this was happening, and doing his best to keep his cock down.

"Hmmm, Gavin," She repeated, before her purring grew louder as she rubbed against him a bit harder, her tail swishing side to side. "What a nyice nyame."

"Do you have a name?" he asked her.

"Mhm!" She said with a nod. "'Tabitha.' My old owner used to call me that, even though my collar said 'Junior.'"

"That's a nice name," He replied. 'And a bit ironic, as she's not a tabby cat,' He thought to himself, before she chuckled.

"Yeah, it is kinda ironic," she answered, confusing him briefly before he remembered that she was telepathic.

"Okay, that's enough SCP-795," Doctor Leyner said to the cat. "It's the end of the session."

"Nyo!" Tabitha replied as she wrapped her arms tightly around Gavin. "It can't!"

"It is. SCP-10,000 has to visit some other SCPs today."

"But I want him to stay!" Tabitha shouted back. "He's fun! And friendly!"

"Well, maybe we can have him come back again sometime."

"NYO!" Tabitha cried out stubbornly.

Doctor Leyner then sighed. "SCP-795, don't force us to get the squirters. Please behave."

"Nyo! Not the squirters!" Tabitha said with fright. "Not them!"

"Then let him go."

"Awwww, meow!" Tabitha said after several seconds, before she let go of Gavin and got off him, albeit very reluctantly.

Gavin's face was still bright red, his face having been smothered once more by her large breasts. 'Seriously, is the universe trying to get me in trouble with Selina?!' he thought as he stood up, before he felt her wrap her arms around his side in a large hug. 'Cause it sure feels like it!' He then started walking towards the door, which unlocked as he approached, with Tabitha walking alongside him, still hugging him.

They went through the doorway and into the next room, before he slowly pulled her arms off him, making her meow with disappointment.

"Hey, we'll see each other again," he said to her with a comforting smile. "Don't worry."

"Okay, meow," She replied, before he headed towards the next door, which unlocked right as he reached the handle. "Wait! One more thing!" She called out right as he turned the knob.

"What is it?" he asked, before his face went red again as she ran up and licked him.

"See you later Gavin," She said with a smile.

Gavin stared at her for several seconds, before he opened the door and stepped into the next room, shutting the door behind him, which then locked.

As he walked over to the next door and started to open it, a bright blue light shined behind him, letting him know that she had turned back into her feral form.

"Well, that was certainly interesting," Doctor Leyner said as he stepped back into the researcher's room, shutting the door behind him.

"No kidding," He replied. "So, what now?"

"Well, we still have that other SCP to go see, remember?" Dr. Miller reminded him.

"Right," he said, his cheeks slowly starting to turn back to their normal color. "Well, I'm ready if you are."

"Good," Dr. Miller said, before she turned to Dr. Leyner. "I hope your research goes well, Dr. Leyner," She replied.

"Thank you, Dr. Miller," Dr. Leyner said with a smile. "I think it will." She then turned to Gavin with a grateful look on her face. "Thank you SCP-10,000 for visiting. Thank you so much!"

"You're welcome Dr. Leyner," he replied, making her smile grow bigger before he started following Dr. Miller out of the room. "I hope I can return sometime soon."

"So do I, SCP-10,000. So do I," Dr. Leyner said as he left, before turning to SCP-795, who was now clawing one of the cat trees.

"Well, that was certainly interesting," he replied as they walked down the hallway. "I didn't expect that to happen."

"None of us did," Dr. Miller said in response with a shake of her head. "From what Dr. Leyner told me, it was never observed to do that until today."

"Yeah, I overheard them saying that," he replied. "That's quite interesting. Kindof makes you wonder if she was ever going to reveal that to them."

"Who knows?" Dr. Miller answered as they rounded a corner and headed down another hallway towards a stairwell. "That's something they'll have to find out."

"Hmm, indeed," Gavin replied, before falling silent.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Several minutes later...

After going up some stairs and down several hallways, they were now in a hallway that Gavin had only been in once before a long time ago.

'I wonder why they want me to visit this SCP?' he thought as he stared at the large metal double-doors with a familiar sign next to them, before he saw that they were heading to a set of stairs nearby that led up to a door. 'Did something happen to it because of my singing?'

Once they reached the door, it slid open, and he and Dr. Miller stepped inside, while the guards remained outside. He and Dr. Miller were now standing in a large room that had a couple tables in it, with a large computer and monitor sitting on one of them in a corner. A few chairs sat next to the tables, while a microphone sat on the table as well, with a coffee machine nearby. A large pane of bulletproof glass made up about three-quarters of the wall on the left side, revealing it was the window he had seen behind the railing when he had first made contact with the SCP.

Standing by the window were two scientists, one male and one female, with the male holding a cup of coffee. The male scientist appeared to be around 30 years old, and stood 6 foot 4 and was rather thin, with pale skin, bright green eyes, and short blonde hair. He was wearing a white labcoat, white trouser, black shoes, and a white t-shirt underneath the labcoat, while his ID identified him as Doctor Eric Troy.

The female scientist stood 6 feet tall, and was rather plump. She had tanned skin, gray eyes, short black hair in a pixie cut, and appeared to be in her mid-30s. Her outfit matched Doctor Troy's, and her ID identified her as Doctor Lena Marie.

When they stepped inside, both researchers turned to look at them.

"You must be Dr. Miller and SCP-10,000," Dr. Troy replied in a flat, tired voice. "How good of you to come visit us."

'Man, does he get enough sleep?' Gavin thought as Dr. Marie spoke. "You must be wondering why we wanted you to visit this SCP," She said in an energetic voice that was a direct opposite from her colleague, prompting him and Dr. Miller to nod.

"Yes, I am quite confused," Dr. Miller replied. "From what I've read in the file I was given, SCP-173 is extremely hostile, with every interaction it has ever had with a human or SCP being dangerous, sometimes ending with the human's death."

"Yes, that is correct," Dr. Troy replied as he took a sip of his coffee. "That's what it's always done."

"Then why ask for me to bring SCP-10,000 to interact with it?" Dr. Miller asked them. "It seems very risky."

"I'm glad you asked that Dr. Miller," Dr. Marie said with a smile as she walked over to the computer, gesturing for them to come over. "You see, ever since SCP-10,000's singing incident a couple weeks ago, SCP-173 has been acting odd."

"How so?" Dr. Miller and Gavin asked.

"It's been staying still a lot of the time, which is not how it normally acts," She replied as she pulled up video feed of the SCP for a couple days ago, before speeding it up, showing the SCP was staying still. "Normally, it's constantly moving when not under being direct surveillance. And then there's the writing."

"I'm sorry, 'writing?'" Dr. Miller repeated with confusion.

"Yes! Writing!" Dr. Marie said with excitement as she typed on the computer some more. "Words have started appearing on the walls, written in that bloody mixture that we have to clean out of the cell twice a week. Look," She continued as she pulled up another video. "This is a video of the cell from three days ago." She then pressed play, and they started to watch.

SCP-173 was standing directly in front of one of the concrete walls in its cell, motionless. Then, as the sped-up video continued to play, suddenly a large red bloody letter "S" appeared on the wall. More and more letters popped up, until they could read the word written on the wall.

"'Singer,'" They read, before looking at Dr. Marie. "What else has shown up?" Dr. Miller asked.

"Oh, usually just 'singer,'" She replied. "But we've also found the words 'Good,' 'happy,' and 'song' on the walls as well."

"So, what does it all mean?" Gavin asked. "Does it want to see me? Does it want me to sing to it?"

Dr. Marie then sighed. "We aren't sure," She replied, before Dr. Troy spoke up.

"Dr. Marie, you should come take a look at this," he said as he looked out the window, prompting her to go over and look out as well.

And then she gasped.

"Oh my!"

"What? What is it?" Dr. Miller asked, before Dr. Marie gestured them over.

When they reached the window and looked into the containment cell, their eyes widened. There, written on the wall opposite of them, were the words "Bring Singer" and "No Harm." And facing them was the SCP.

"Oh my," Gavin said with surprise and shock.

"Oh! How interesting!" Dr. Marie said excitedly.

"So, what do we do now?" Dr. Miller asked her.

"We send SCP-10,000 in with two guards, and he sings to it," Dr. Marie replied.

"Uh-uh! No way!" Dr. Miller said with a shake of her head. "Too risky! Human error could cause it to attack him or the guards."

"Not when the guards are the 'Eye Pods,'" Dr. Marie replied.

"The 'Eye Pods?'" Gavin repeated with confusion. "What are they?"

"Something that will make sure you won't get hurt at all, SCP-10,000," Dr. Marie answered, before turning to Dr. Miller. "We've already sent for them, and they should be arriving any minute. You're not gonna make them come all the way here only to be sent away now, are you?"

After several seconds of silence, Dr. Miller sighed. "Alright, he can go in with them," She said, making Dr. Marie grin. "But if he ends up dying, I'll make sure you get demoted to D-Class."

"Alright honey," Dr. Marie replied, obviously not worried in the least. "You better head on out to the doors. They're about to arrive," She replied as she looked at a text she had just gotten.

"Yes ma'am," Gavin answered with a nod, before turning around and heading towards the door, with Dr. Miller in tow.

When they stepped out, she led him down the stairs to the large double-doors that sealed off the containment cell. And then, he saw a single guard walk around the corner, with two small beings following them.

'Oh, so those are the Eye Pods,' he thought as he stared at them with surprise. 'The nickname makes a lot of sense.'

The Eye Pods were teardrop-shaped creatures about 1 foot tall, with each one having a single blue eye in the middle of their bodies. One was burnt orange in color, while the other was mustard yellow. They were moving with the help of a wheel-like protrusion at their base, and were keeping up with guard quite well.

The guard soon reached them, and Dr. Miller spoke. "Alright, SCP-10,000, you need to pet them in order for them to go with you," She replied, making him arch an eyebrow at her. Upon seeing his expression, she continued. "They love affection, and will quickly bond to whoever gives them some."

"Alright," Gavin replied, feeling unsure about that, before he crouched down, catching their attention. He then reached a hand out, and gently began to run the tops of their bodies, finding that they were rather soft.

They let out little happy chirps as he pet them, while the guard they had come with turned and left.

After several more seconds of petting, Dr. Miller spoke. "Alright, that should be enough," She said, prompting him to stop petting them and stand up, much to the Eye Pods' disappointment, as they let out cute little chirps, wanting more. "Be careful SCP-10,000," She continued, before she turned and headed back towards the office door. "I'll let them know you are ready."

"Alright," Gavin replied as she entered the door, before looking at the containment cell doors. 'Well, this is going to be interesting,' He thought, before the doors began to slowly open.

As they did, the Eye Pods started to run around his legs, babbling incoherently in a high-pitched frightened tone, as if they knew the danger that laid in the cell.

"Hey, don't worry," he said to them, trying to calm them down. "I'm with you guys. I'm sure everything will be fine." Then, the Eye Pods rushed into the cell ahead of him, causing him to sigh. "Well, here I go," he said, before he entered the cell of the neck-snapping SCP, the doors shutting behind him as he did so.

Once inside, he saw that the Eye Pods were sitting in front of SCP-173, which was now in the center of the room, facing the doors and him. "Huh, already doing their job," He said with a smile. "They're good workers." He then glanced around at the cell, and saw no reddish brown puddles anywhere, letting him know that the cell must have been cleaned the previous day. "So, um, how are you doing?" He said to the statue, which obviously didn't respond.

Its hostility seemed lessened a bit, which surprised him a little. "Well, you wanted to see me" he continued as he stared at the statue, before noticing that no rebar was sticking out of it, and the paint on it seemed to be neater and not flaking off. 'Huh, interesting,' He thought as he spoke. "Is it just to sing to you?" he asked it. "Well, that's what you're getting," He said, before humming. "Now what song should I sing to you?"

As he stared at the statue, going over the multiple songs in his head, he remembered how it had calmed down a little when he'd whistled "Oh Susanna," and grinned. "I know, how about this one?" He said, before he started to sing. And as he sang, the the sounds of country instruments such as the harmonica, banjo, and jug started to fill the air.

"I came from Alabama

With my banjo on my knee,I'm going to LouisianaMy true love for to see,It rained all night the day I left,The weather it was dry,The sun so hot I froze to death;Susanna, don't you cry.

Oh! Susanna. don't you cry for me,
I've come from Alabama, with my banjo on my knee.

I jumped aboard the telegraph,

And traveled down the river, the electric fluid magnified,
And killed five hundred chiggers.
the bullgine bust, the horse run off,
I really thought I'd die;
I shut my eyes to hold my breath,
Susanna, don't you cry.

Oh! Susanna, don't you cry for me,

I've come from Alabama, with my banjo on my knee.

I had a dream the other night

When everything was still;I thought I saw Susanna, coming down the hill.

The buckwheat cake war in her mouth,

The tear was in her eye,Says I'm coming from the South,
Susanna, don't you cry.
Oh! Susanna, don't you cry for me,
I've come from Alabama, with my banjo on my knee.

I soon will be in New Orleans,

And then I'll look all around,And when I find Susanna,
I fall upon the ground.
But if I do not find her,
i might surely die,
And when I'm dead and buried,
Susanna, don't you cry."

Once he finished singing, he looked at the SCP statue, and was surprised to see that the air around it no longer felt hostile. It felt...calm.

"Well, I'm glad you liked that song," He said to the SCP, before noticing that the Eye Pods were turning away and heading back towards him. "Hey, wait! You need to-shit!" He cursed as he blinked, and found the statue right in front of him. "Please don't kill me," He said as he looked at the statue, before closing his eyes, ready to feel the cold embrace of death.

But it never came.

Instead, he felt a pair of warm, mittenlike hands attached to a pair of arms wrap around him and pull him against the statue, which now felt warm and soft. He felt his face get pushed into a large pair of orbs, and his face grew red. 'What the fuck?!' He thought with confusion. 'Are those what I think they are?!'

"Thank you," A female voice whispered in his ears, before he was let go, prompting him to open his eyes. The statue was still standing before him, but it still felt calm.

"Are you okay SCP-10,000?"

"Um, yeah, I am," Gavin replied, staring at the statue with confusion. 'What the heck was that all about?!' He thought, before he heard the doors slowly open behind him, prompting him to back out with the Eye Pods, still staring at the statue.

Once the doors were shut, the nearby door opened, and all three scientists stepped out.

"Are you sure you're alright?" Dr. Miller replied, prompting him to nod, before he returned to Dr. Marie. "What the hell was that?!" She yelled at her in anger. "Why'd the Eye Pods stop staring at the SCP?!"

"I don't know!" Dr. Marie replied, clearly confused about it. "It's never happened before!"

"Hmm, perhaps they felt that SCP-173 was not a threat anymore after SCP-10,000's singing?" Dr. Troy suggested. "I mean, it had a chance to kill him, but it didn't."

"Hmmm, true, true," Dr. Marie and Dr. Miller replied, agreeing with what he had said.

Gavin, at that moment, stayed silent, deciding to not mention the hug and it speaking, as he was still confused about that part. "So, what now?" He asked them.

"Well, you can go back to your cell," Dr. Marie replied. "We no longer require your help. At least, for now."

"Oookay," he said, feeling a bit hurt at being treated like an object. "Dr. Miller, any other SCPs for me to visit today?"

"No, that was the last one," She replied, before she turned to Dr. Marie. "Goodbye, Dr. Marie. Goodbye, Dr. Troy," She said, before she beckoned for Gavin to follow her. "Come along Gavin. We can drop these Eye Pods off with another researcher."

"Um, okay," He said as he looked down at the Eye Pods, who were sitting on either side of him, staring up at him. "Come on you two." He then started following Dr. Miller down the hallway, with the guards joining them, while the Eye Pods stayed by his side, babbling happily.

A couple hours later...

In another part of the facility, not too far from where Gavin's cell was located, was another cell. This cell was rather large, being 16 and a half feet long, 13 feet wide, and 6 and a half feet tall. Reinforced plexiglass lined all four walls, ceiling, and floor, while a large metal chute stuck out from one wall with a large trough below it.

Right next to the cell was a small security office, with a couple researchers and guards in it. The guards, besides their normal gear, also had cameras mounted in the foreheads of their helmets.

As one of the researchers sat in front of a computer, they noticed a red light suddenly come on. "Oh dear," The male researcher said as he looked at the label next to the red light, before he spotted another one come on, followed by another, and another. "Oh no!"

"What is it Robert?" The other researcher, also a male, asked as he came over to look, only to gain a worried look on his face as well. "Oh no." He then turned to one of the guards and said, "Officer, we have a situation."

"What is it Doctor Zerchonis?" The guard replied in a youthful male voice.

"Get your men ready," Dr. Zerchonis said with a firm voice. "There's a good chance that-"

*SCREEEEECH! CLANG CLANG CLANG!*

"SHIT!" Dr. Zerchonis cursed as they heard metal ripping and tearing from the cell. "Go! Go! Go!" he yelled at the guards, who quickly nodded before they hurried out of the room. Dr. Zerchonis then reached over and hit a button on the computer, causing an alarm to start playing in the hallways near the cell. "Attention all personnel. SCP-372 has breached containment. I repeat, SCP-372 has breached containment. All personnel should watch for any brief flickering movements in the corner of their eyes, and report immediately if one is sighted," An automated male voice stated through the intercoms.

As the guards made their way to the room that the chute started in, they were surprised to see that the door was broken down, with a large part of it looking like something had cut through it with a sharp blade. And the chute was in a similar state, with multiple dents, cuts, and tears at its large entrance.

As the guards scattered around the area, looking for any signs of the SCP, one of them suddenly spoke up. "Hey! Someone just reported seeing a flickering movement just before a ceiling tile was destroyed," The female guard said.

"Shit! So it's in the ceiling now?"

"Yes."

"Dammit!"

"Where did they report seeing this?" the head guard of their squad asked her.

"At the end of the hallway around the corner," She replied.

"Dammit! It's heading towards the stairwell," The head guard growled before he started running down the hallway. "Come on! No way we're letting this thing get out!"

"Yes sir!" The other guards replied before they started running after their commanding officer.

As they ran, every single one of them had the same thought. 'And this was supposed to be an "easy" SCP to guard.'

Well, this was an interesting/exciting chapter!

Can't wait to write the next one!

"Oh Susanna" is owned by Stephen Foster. The version is used is whatever you like, but the 2nd South Carolina String Band version is pretty good!

Now, the reason I made the Eye Pods look away is because they could no longer sense danger coming from SCP-173. That's how they seem to work based on their file.

And as for why singing calmed SCP-173, don't worry. I got a plan for it.
