"Well its about my family." Noah started, his voice already cracking and eyes starting to water...

"They are not very good people. You are not going to ever meet them because they are homophobic and would probably harm you. Anyway, my dad used to abuse me physically, emotionally, and verbally. At first my mom attempted to stop him but gave up when anything she did didn't do anything to stop him. She turned to alcohol and drugs and started to join him in the abuse but she would only verbally and emotionally abuse me, never physically." Noah explained as James rubbed calming circles onto his back.

James was beyond confused as to why the Hell Noah was telling him all of this but he didn't mind. He felt happy that Noah trusted him enough to tell him all of this but he was livid at Noah's parents.

"Albus was talking about how nice Hermione, Pansy, and Hugo are as family members and I was jealous that you guys have such a nice family. Albus is all the time bragging about how amazing it is and how all of your family are full of impressive wizards and witches. But then I thought that if we really do get married one day then they would become my family too..." Noah trailed off with a small smile.

"I know we are still young and all but it gave me hope." Noah finnished as he cuddled impossibly closer to James.

"Well I can tell you this much right now. You see not going back to your family alone if that's how you are being treated. My father Harry loves kids and would happily add you to the group of kids to take care of. I won't alow you to go back so you can be harmed again. Oh and about being young but wanting to get married...*James reached over to his nightstand and pulled a small box out of the drawer* I got us promise rings." James said making Noah lift his head and look twards James.

"I figured that because we are only thirteen that this would be the best thing for us." James said with a blush as he put one of the rings on Noah's ring finger.

"I love you." Noah said before kissing James who quickly kissed back.

"I love you too." Jame said with a smile when they pulled apart.

Noah put the ring on James finger before cuddling up to him again.

"Are we going to tell anyone about this?" Noah asked, his voice muffled from James's shirt.

"We can if you want us to." James replied as he ran a hand through Noah's hair.

"I don't want to tell my family but we can tell your *yawn* family." Noah said as he nuzzled his head into the crook of James's neck.

"Sounds good to me. Goodnight love." James said, shutting his eyes and relaxing fully.

"Goodnight, love you too." Noah whispered back before they both fell into a peaceful slumber.

*The next morning in the Great Hall*

"Good morning everyone! Today is your first day of classes! I hope you have all used your past week to get to know some students and gain friends. Now please enjoy your breakfast before going to your first class of the day." Dumbledore said before waving his hands causing all of the food the House Elves prepared to appear.

The Great Hall broke out into chatter as everyone begun to eat their breakfast.

"What is our first class today?" Scorpius asked Albus before taking a bite of bacon.

"We have Potions first then Herboligy, after that we have Divination, then lunch. Once lunch is over we have Divination and then DADA. After that we have dinner and are free until curfew." Albus read off his schedule knowing that he and Scorpius had all of their classes together.

"Sounds like a interesting day." Scorpius said getting a nod from Albus.

The two continued to eat their lunch, occasionally talking about what they think their classes will be like and what magic they already know.

When breakfast was about half way done James and Noah sat infront of them at the Slytherin table drawing eyes twards them.

"Good morning blokes, are you nervous for your first day of classes?" James asked as he wrapped an arm around Noah.

"A little but I think it's going to be fun overall." Albus said with a grin before turning to Scorpius. "What about you Scorp?" He asked.

"Same as you but I have a question for you two." Scorpius said while eyeing Noah and James.

"Of course, what would you like to know?" Noah asked as he leaned against James.

"When did you two get matching promise rings?" He asked shocking them both at how fast he had seen them.

"Promise rings?!" Albus asked looking bewildered yet happy.

"Yes promise rings, now be quiet or the entire school will know." James said with a chuckle as he and Noah showed the two their matching rings.

"They are so pretty." Scorpius said as he gently held Noah's hand to see the ring better.

"James got them for us." Noah said with a large smile as Albus looked at James's ring.

"I'm going to ace Divination! I predicted that you would be my brother in law in the future and here you are with promise rings!" Albus said as he and Scorpius let go of James and Noah's hands.

"Well actually we were already talking about being married a while ago, I just now got the rings." James explained making Albus stick his toung out at him.

"Don't ruin my hope you twat." Albus said making the others laugh.

Soon enough, breakfast was over and everyone was off to their first class.

*Focusing on Albus and Scorpius*

The two were one of the first ones in the Potions room so they got to pick their seats.

They decided to sit in the back of the room so they could potentially get away with talking to each other during lessons.

"Good morning students! Welcome to your first ever Potions class! Today we will just be going over the basics so nobody should have to worry about doing anything too hard." Professor Slughorn said with a kind smile once everyone had gotten into the classroom.

This shouldn't be too hard. This school year will be fun! Right?
