a pair of eyes open out into the gravel road as the boy laying on the road gets up and sees a man standing a few feet away from him dressed in all black and holding a cane with a skull on the top, the man had blonde hair looked to be in his 60s or older but the boy didn't know

the man looked at him and with a serious look on his face as he looks at the boy and the boy was upset with him

boy: who are you?

Old man: I'm a fan of your fathers work he was always amazing with his performance, it was a shame that he left his family cause he had a deal and now he is not here to stop me from collecting what is rightfully mine

the old man walks to the boy as the boy takes a few steps back in terror

Boy: stay away from me

the boy takes one more step and then he finds out that he can't move another step as he is frozen in place.

Old man: your brother won't save you and now along his soul ill take yours as well

the old man touches the boy in the chest as he is ready to take his soul but finds out that he can't

Old man: What....no

the old man takes his hand and sees that the boy already has some sort of power that he already he posses but he didn't give him the curse he shakes it off and looks at the boy.

Old man: it doesn't matter either way you are bound to punish those who are guilty but when it is activated by your rebel side you will soon have your soul in my hands the hands of me...The Devil

the old man says the last part in a deep voice that no one can make humanly possible as he turned around to face the boy with his eyes glowing red and teeth now pointy in a smile.

The Devil: but that will happen one day when you are powerless and when the time comes you will fall by my rider I can promise you that.

The Devil then starts to smile and then starts to talk in his demonic voice

The Devil: I'll be seeing you very soon Asher you will believe that

The Devil then starts to laugh maniacally as lightning starts to flash and the next thing ash saw was the devil's real face with his yellow eyes staring at him.

1st person view

I wake up in a cold sweat and a look of terror in my eyes, that dream felt so real but why did I dream of that moment it was unclear to me why I had that dream and saw him, as I got up from bed and turned off my alarm clock I got my breakfast, had a shower and got my clothes on as I got ready for school as I was transferred to crystal cove high school because of an incident with a kid almost getting killed. That blamed me cause I saved the kid and they thought that I did it but during my time in court, the kid and his family said that I was innocent sadly I had to transfer to a different school but luck was on my side cause I didn't get a criminal record so that was good but I still had to move to crystal cove which was alright cause I didn't have any friends from the other school anyway.

as I start walking to my bike in the garage I look at the house I'm now living in and admire it I was given this place by the mayor himself cause It was my parent's house that was not sold for a year cause of some weird hauntings that really never bothered me for some reason but I digress cause I had missed my old home for a long time.

after I had finished looking at my old home and remembering my childhood before 'that night' I turn to my bike and start her up, she was originally my fathers and he called her granger which I thought was a beautiful name for someone either a bike or a girl in my opinion.

I get on a make my way over to the high school. when I get there and walk through the hallways of the school and make my way to my first class since I already talk to the principal a day ago so I have my timetable and I make my way to my first class, I make it to the door and knock on it three times cause I'm pretty sure I'm late for class. the door opens and I see a short man with brown hair and grey streaks on the sides and wearing squared shaped glasses.

Ash: sorry I'm late sir I'm new and I kind of got sidetracked

Teacher: you must be Asher carter. my name is Emmanuel Raffalo but you can call me professor. please come in.

you and the professor walk into the classroom and all the students look at you, some of the girls look at you with hearts in their eyes while some of the guys just glare at you.

some of the Girls: he's really cute

some of the guys: this guy's taking all the hot girls away

I was not paying much attention to them until your eyes caught a familiar brown-haired girl in the third to last row near the window her brown eyes sparkle in the light. I couldn't believe my eyes as I looked at her I was surprised to see her sitting there looking at me with the same surprised look as me. it was Monica, Monica sawyer I thought she had moved away a year later I left after that night. my thoughts were cut off when the professor had started to introduce me.

Professor Ruffalo: class today we have a new student with us his name is Asher Carter *turns to me* can you please tell us something about yourself, Mister Carter?

Ash: ok well I'm always a really helpful person and I really hope we get along well.

Professor Ruffalo: *he turns to his class* Questions?

most of the students had their hands up but only two were picked

Professor Ruffalo: Paris and Monty

Paris: Are you single?

Ash: yes

all the girls besides Monica start to giggle at you and smile while the boy just growls and glare at you for an unknown reason.

Morty: do you play any sport or something?

Ash: I use to play soccer when I was younger but not at the moment.

some of the boys in sports jackets either glare at me or had a smirk on their face for some reason then the professor quiets them down.

Professor Ruffalo: well questions are over *turns to me again* you can sit over their Mister Carter

He points to the seat behind Monica as I go and sit in the seat and see Monica had a smile as she might be thinking that I was back and honestly I was now happy to be back here at crystal cove.

as the lesson began as we were learning about photosynthesis.

Professor Ruffalo: ok who can tell me about photosynthesis?

Monica's hand is in the air already and so was mine and everyone else

Professor Ruffalo: and don't say plant farts

everyone put their hands down except for Monica and me as Professor Ruffalo points to Monica as Monica answers

Monica: photosynthesis is a process by which green plants and some other organisms use sunlight to synthesize foods from carbon dioxide and water. photosynthesis in a plant generally involves the green pigment chlorophyll and generates oxygen as a byproduct.

Professor Ruffalo: correct miss Sawyer

some people started to mumble about how much smart Monica was and how much of a dork she is which I was not ok with it but Monica was paying no mind to it. suddenly the door swings open and some kids walk in with a body cocooned in a green jelly-like substance as the guy with blonde hair and an orange ascot says

???1: Professor Ruffalo! we need your help!

when the class saw the body they all the grab their books and leave the class besides me and Monica we were for some reason interested in the body.

Professor Ruffalo: Couldn't you kids have waited until the break.

the kids put the cocooned body on the table and they catch a look at Monica and me standing there and a girl with short brown hair and glasses turns to the professor and asks.

???3: who are they?

professor Raffalo: these are two of my students * miss Monica sawyer the smartest of my class and the new kid Asher Carter

Monica: It wasn't really a hard question Professor

Professor Ruffalo: yes, it-

just then the boy with light brown shaggy hair interrupted the professor from arguing about the question of photosynthesis

???4: um sorry to interrupt but we have a body on the table and we have no idea what happened!

Professor Ruffalo: oh right sorry

the professor grabs a stethoscope and began to check the body

???4: *worried* Is He? *gulp*

Professor Rafalo: no he's alive. but, appears to be in a dehydrated stasis. I don't quite know what that means. But, I think It's temporary.

Professor then took off his stethoscopes and set them down

???2: Do you know who could have done this?

Professor Ruffalo: The cocoon look's organic, but I'll need to do further tests. ....the sheriff okayed this right?

???1: *hesitant* Uh... Uh...O-of course W-what do you t-think? W-we stole a b-body. that's rich

I find that hard to believe honestly but it didn't matter as we were all escorted out of the classroom by the professor. It was weird but the particular was that I caught him smiling, not a normal smile but an evil smile. there is definitely he's not telling us.

at lunch, you sat at a table by yourself when you caught sight of Monica walking over, to you. you're surprised to see her as she sits down next to you and starts to read one of her favourite book. She would either read a lot of romance novels when she's not studying which was alright in my opinion cause it's something she really loves and is a fan of and it showed a more cute side to her. I had really missed her when I left crystal cove I had left my life and everything I cared about away and I felt bad so I decided to try to talk to her. I turn to face her and got her attention.

Ash: uh hey Monica

Monica: hey ash

she didn't even look from her book I guess she's still mad that I had to leave

Ash: hey look I'm sorry I had to leave you to know how much my family means to me and I just wanted to find my dad cause of what happened

Monica: It didn't mean you had to leave me behind here you were the only friend I had

Ash: I know and I'm really sorry but *sigh* I thought you would be able to have a better chance at having a normal life without me around I know there is no fixing what I had done but I just wanted to say that I'm sorry for everything I did to you and who knows maybe everything I might do to you in the future.

Monica had shown a small smile on her face as she looked from her book and stared Into my eyes as I stared into hers.

Monica: hehe Ash do you think I wouldn't come over here and sit next to you if I didn't think you were sorry, I can't forgive you so quickly but I'm at least glad to see you again

Ash: me too Monica it's so nice to see you again

Monica gave me a sweet smile as I did the same, man It's so good to be back at crystal cove.

after school, I decided to head to this weird place called fruitmeirs It seemed popular for some reason It's kind of weird as I enter the establishment I hear what is the owner of the place welcoming us to Fruitmeirs at the front of the store and telling us that It's not ice cream or yoghurt and that he doesn't even know what it is before asking anyone if they would like a shrimping boat balloon and saw he was dressed as a clown, when your owner doesn't even know what your selling is then you might be in trouble business-wise.

as I got my order I see the same group from Professors Raffalo's class so I decided to go and Introduce myself properly as I do I see that they are talking about what they saw today. I managed to get their attention and they see that I was there.

Ash: Hey I think we meet before In Professor Raffalo's class when you brought the cocoon into class

???1: oh yeah we remember you, you were with that smart bushy girl right

Ash:...Yeah Monica she's been my friend since we were kids she's really amazing honestly

???2: wow you really be great friends

Ash: yeah... oh right where are my manners I'm ash, ash carter

Fred: I'm Fred

Daphne: I'm Daphne

Velma: Names Velma, Velma Dinkley

Shaggy: Like people call me Shaggy

Shaggy: And that's Scooby-doo my dog and our friend

Ash: well It's a pleasure to meet you all, so If I may ask what are a group of kids like you doing together?

Fred: well we solve mystery's together though a lot of the people living here aren't really happy with us doing it supposed to be the most haunted place on earth

Daphne: but for the most part It always turns out to be just someone In a costume

Ash: huh that's really interesting.

Fred: hey you know, if that cocoon turns out to be organic. then we might have a real honest to goodness monster in crystal cove.

just imagining a real monster in crystal cove would be both really amazing and really scary if something would happen and people would start to get hurt by the monster.

Velma: my guess is that cocoon is a multi-celled mutation. probably a result of radiated allotropes and free radical impulsion.

she then turns to shaggy and in a seductive tone ask him

Velma: What do you think shaggy?~

you then see her trying to hold Shaggy's hand but he quickly takes his back and say's

Shaggy: uh I think I want more Fruitmeirs

he then proceeds to run back inside the establishment wimpy screaming

Scooby: me too

I chuckled at the scene that just happened as Shaggy's dog follows him inside the establishment. I then turn to see Daphne scratching her face with one finger and a smile on her face.

Daphne: Velma is there something going on with you and Shaggy?

Velma: *monotoned* no. nothing. absolutely nothing * she starts to get angry* why would anything be going on between me and Shaggy!

Velma leaves the group with her arms crossed and looking very annoyed then Daphne turns to Fred and smiles

Daphne: * happily sighs* looks like it's just us

Fred: nope Ash is with us

Daphne looks to see I am of course still here as she gives a look of sadness. I took the hint as I saw that Daphne really liked Fred so I looked around and see Monica by the bench near Fruitmiers and reading her book

Ash: w-well I'm gonna leave I need to do some things I'll see you later.

I turn to walk to the bench Monica was sitting at but not before I turn to Daphne and give her a wink to say good luck and I go and see Monica and sit next to her and talk to her, she put her book down and saw I was next to her and we talk about what that cocoon was and about the monsters that had come to crystal cove.

Ash: wow crystal cove has really chance since I had left

Monica: yeah a lot has happened since you were gone and now that you're back things will be surprising to you at first but you will soon get used to it.

Ash: ok, So Monica you doing anything later?

Monica: Not sure Why do you ask?

Ash: well I was wondering If you would like to come over to my place and hang out and probably do some studying as well if you're interested

Monica thinks for a moment she hasn't seen Ash for a long time and now here he Is and is asking her to study at his place like old time's yeah she's still mad at him for leaving her since he was the only friend she had since no one would want to be her friend and even now she hasn't had any friends cause who would want to be friends with a bookworm, but she can't deny the fact that she Is happy to see him again and he had always a reason to do something like leave or something so.

Monica: sure Ash it'll be like old times.

Ash: great I'll take you there I still have my dad's bike.

Monica: ok let's go

Third-person

Monica gets on Ash's bike and holds onto Ash as a pair of red eyes from in the sewer grate sees them ride away as the thing looks at him before the creature goes back into the sewer.
