Something new.;)
Comment away, my loves.😘
I couldn't believe it.
I just couldn't.
Mitchell Coby Michael Robinson...
Is wearing a dress.
A flipping dress.
He is also wearing a wig that hung on his shoulders delicately, a headband placed on the top of it. He reapplied makeup on himself, the different colors hurting my head as I looked at him.
What is he doing?
He jumped into the bathtub and tried to cover himself with the curtain, but I caught him right away. Why is he dressing like this? Dresses aren't for boys...
At least, that's what my parents taught me.
"Scott, please leave," Mitch begged quietly, getting out of the tub. He almost fell out of the tub roughly he tried to remove the dress quickly. "Leave. I don't want you in here."
"Mi-"
"NOW!"
I jumped, not expecting Mitch to yell like that. I left, feeling like someone just slapped me. Did I deserve this? What did I do wrong?
Did I hurt him in anyway?
What did I do?
I walked into Kirstie's room, trying to get him yelling out of my head. I didn't mean to do anything to him. If I did...
What did I do?
"Hey, Scott. What's up?" Kirstie asked softly, smiling up at me. I waved at her and sighed, looking at my lap as I shook my head.
"It's nothing, really. It's just...Mitch is," I tried to get out, not knowing how to work anything. Kirstie nodded, waiting patiently for what I was about to say. "I have a question."
"What is it?"
After putting the pieces together, I finally found out what Mitch is doing. Why didn't I think of this all along?
I'm such an idiot.
"I know why Mitch is dressing up in skirts and stuff and putting on makeup."
Kirstie nodded, a confused look on her face. I can't wait to see how she reacts when I tell her what I finally out about Mitch.
Nothing can pull me down now!
I must thought too long because Kirstie snapped her fingers, giggling softly as I jumped. This isn't a joke though.
It's the truth.
And I finally figured it out.
"Well, Scott?"
Here goes...
"Mitch is..."
Kirstie was practically jumping up and down, giggling as she clapped her hands. I giggled, smiling brightly as I came to my answer.
And I am so happy that I finally figured everything out.
"A drag queen!"
In a quick second, Kirstie's smile dropped. Her hands fell down on her lap and she stared at me like I am.the most idiotic person ever.
"Scott, you are the most idiotic person ever."
See?!
"Hurtful," I murmured, putting a hand over my chest. Kirstie shook her head, taking a deep breath before speaking again.
"MiMi is not a drag queen. Sure, he'll slay as one, but there's more to him dressing up as a woman. Scott, listen now and listen carefully. I hate to do this, but it's what's best for all of us."
I nodded, wondering what Kirstie had to say to me. She closed her eyes, only to have a single tear roll down her cheek. I wet to wipe it, putting my hand on her cheek to comfort her. We aren't dating nor will we ever date, but this is what our relationship is like. We've always been touchy, all three of us. We love physical touch.
(A/N: That last line may or may not appear later in the story.😉)
When Kirstie didn't reply, I was about to her what she was going to say when she began to speak:
"Scott, Mitch is tra..."
"Dinner is ready," Gerald announced, smiling at us brightly. Mitch was behind his dad, smiling innocently as he waited for us to come downstairs. "Eat, children. It's important."
Kirstie immediately stood up, putting a smile on her face. I stood up, feeling confused more than ever.
What's going on with them?
~~~
When I went home that night, I tried to figure out what the Robinsons could be hiding. So far...
I've failed.
I tried my best to look up information on what the Robinsons could be hiding, once again failing horribly. I sighed angrily, shaking my head as I tried to put the pieces together.
What could be going on with them?
An idea finally popped in my head, making me gasp. Maybe what Mitch was doing could help with this. Sometimes getting into people's privacy is the best way to go.
I'm sorry for being nosy, but it's true.
I typed in 'boy wearing dresses and skirts and makeup to be a girl' and I gasped at what was on front of me.
There were boys dressing up in dresses and they looked...
Happy.
There was even a video of a cross dresser explaining about how to dress up as a woman and I couldn't be more confused.
What does this all mean?!
What is the context behind it?!
Why are these men dressing up a women?!
I closed my laptop, groaning to myself as I tried to find out what the best option was.
Maybe Mitch js a drag queen or cross dresser and Kirstie just lied to me. Maybe it's just a secret that they kept hidden from me for years and they weren't ready to tell me.
But why?
Is there something I said or did wrong?
What did I do?
If I hurt them, then I'm sorry. I didn't mean to do anything if I did anything. What could I have done though?
My thoughts cane to a sudden stop when someone knocked on my door, making me sit up. I cleared my throat, closing my laptop befire speaking.
"Come in!"
"Hi, baby," My mom replied softly, her smile wide as she walked over. I smiled softly, the scent of lavender calming me down as she hugged me. "You seem stressed out. Are you worried about graduating?"
I nodded, hoping that she wouldn't see past my lie. I realized that I'm becoming a good liar these past few days. My mom nodded, separating herself from me as she looked me over.
"You look exhausted, honey. Go to sleep. Detective Scott needs to quit for the night."
If you consider disrespecting someone's personal life detective work...
"Okay, Mom," I mumbled, putting my sheets over my body. My mom smiled, kissing my temple softly. "I love you, Mama."
"I love you too, my son."
The last thing I saw was my mom closing my door and I was put like a light, hoping that my anxious mind did not keep wake me up.
~~~
I couldn't get it out of my head.
Why is Mitch acting like this?
I kept on thinking about it while I was on my friend date with Kirstie and Mitch, my finger tapping becoming louder than the people around me. The yells from young children seemed like a pin dropping compared to my loud tapping. I tapped a few more times until Kirstie shook her head, putting a gentle hand on my own hand.
"Scott, calm down. You're getting anxious. What's wrong?" Kirstie asked, looking at me seriously. I shook my head and was about to say 'nothing's wrong' when Kirstie stopped me. "You're lying."
Yeah, forget about me saying that I became a good liar. I'm a horrible one. Why did God make me such an honest person?
"How could you te-"
"You wouldn't say 'how could you tell' if you weren't lying," Kirstie pointed out, raising an arched eyebrows. I sighed, giving up as I realized the truth: I'm a bad liar. Ironic. "What's wrong? You could tell me."
Here goes...
Again.
"Why does Mitch dress up as a gi-"
"Scott, is that what's bothering you?! Seriously?!"
I nodded, feeling like I was being reprimanded. Kirstie is scary when she's mad. Illogical at times, but still scary.
"I'm sorry, it's ju-"
"No, it's just you being nosy," Kirstie reprimanded, shaking her head as she glared at me. Thank God Mitch is in the restroom. "Just stay out of his life, Scott. Stay friends, but don't be so nosy. Gosh..."
I'm not one to get mad, but that struck a cord in me. I took Kirstie out of the restaurant, glaring at her as we went outside. Although her glare was not as intimidating as mine, I still felt my legs shake at the intensity of her stare. She's scary, but I will not let her take over me like this.
"You do not have to rude to me, Kirstie. I just want to know what my friend is hiding. There is nothing wrong with tha-"
"There is when you are invading our privacy, Scott! You are being so ru-"
"I'm being rude?!" I asked loudly, scoffing when Kirstie nodded. I shook my head, looking back into the restaurant to find Mitch looking for us. He looked at me, smiling and waving excitedly. I ignored it though, even the fluttery feeling in my heart. "I'm not! I could be worried about Mitch and you and your father might not be noticing it!"
Far from the truth, but whatever.
Kirstie snorted and was about to say something else when I interrupted her. Doesn't feel nice being interrupted, Kirstie? Too bad.
"Tell me why."
"Why what?"
"You know exactly why! Don't be like that!"
Kirstie glared at me and that was the moment Mitch left the restaurant, a balloon and his coloring stuff in his hands. He smiled at me and what about to say hi to me when Kirstie finally burst out:
"MICHELLE IS TRANSGENDER! SHE'S A GIRL, SCOTT!"
A/N: Well...Kirstie just outed Michelle. Any ideas about how the next chapter will go? ;) Also, the story has just begun. There is going to be more to this and I am so excited. Anyways, I hope that you all enjoyed this chapter and remember that I love you all.:)
