•Chapter six•
What have you done?
Taehyung was fuming. He grew red in anger and disgust as he glared at Hoseok who still dared to look at Yoongi.
Who the fuck was he to make his brother cry? How dare he do this to his elder brother?
"Son," Youngmi started, voice soft and sweet as she gave a curt smile to the shaking omega who stood beside him. "Who is this?"
Hoseok didn't look even slightly fazed by her question. He clenched his eyes shut, fist clenching protectively when the omega behind him whimpered and stuck to his back, seeking for protection.
"He," Hoseok cleared his throat, "is my mate."
Taehyung's scoff was heard the next second. Jungkook hid the crying beta, Yoongi, behind him to cover him from the eyes of the people.
Youngmi frowned at his words, not having enough time to even process what is going on as the people broke out in cheers and congratulated Hoseok.
Hoseok didn't smile. He didn't look happy and neither did he acknowledge the people who were asking him questions like why and how he met Jimin and when did they mate.
He doesn't reply. He keeps his eyes on his confused mother before taking a small step back and pulling Jimin to his side softly, hugging his waist.
"Park Jimin, the prince of the now fallen kingdom of the Parks, is my mate."
The confidence in his voice made Taehyung growl. Jungkook held his wrist and begged him with his eyes to not make a scene before the people of the kingdom.
It was too much for all of Hoseok's family to take in.
The commoners were the only ones who seemed happy. Youngmi wished to be happy too, but she knew there was more to the story than what it seems to the eyes.
Hoseok was always against the thought of marriage. The Hoseok before her wasn't the Hoseok she knew.
The smile had vanished.
He remained expressionless.
Hoseok being in such a state could only be when the matter was really serious and sad. What had happened?
She glanced back at Hoseok to find him looking at someone else. She turned around, frown deepening when she spotted Taehyung looking close to breaking out in screams and tackling Hoseok to he ground.
Yoongi was behind Jungkook; she couldn't see him because of her son's broad shoulders and chest which hid the beta behind him.
What was going on?
She fake laughed and clapped her hands to gain the attention of the people who were dancing and singing around in happiness.
"Attention please!" She pleaded cheerfully. "I understand all of you are happy. I'm extremely happy too, but we need a little time to talk. We are going to have a nice and grand celebration tonight! For now, I request all of you to let us have some time to talk to each other."
They, thankfully, agreed to her and walked out of the gates which were closed by the guards after they left.
"Hoseok, what's going on?" She asks, voice soft because the small omega was crying in pain and fear beside him.
"Mom, could I first go inside with my mate--"
"You disgusting alpha!" Taehyung yelled, forcefully pulling his wrist out of Jungkook's hand and looking around to grab something, just anything, to throw on him and kill him right there.
To say he was furious would be an understatement.
Hoseok exhaled deeply, eyes softening. He knew what he did. He wasn't going to even try and seek for forgiveness because he knew he didn't deserve it.
"Taehyung!" Youngmi yelled and held his elbow to stop him from advancing towards Hoseok. "Why are you behaving like this?!"
"L-look," Hoseok started, head snapping to the side when Jimin whimpered, body shaking. Before he could say anything more, Jimin began sobbing.
Hoseok's eyes softened. He wrapped his arms around the omega's shoulder and brought him to his embrace, patting his back affectionately.
"He's crying too," Taehyung whispered, tearing up. "He was waiting for you to come back and had been so happy when the news of your arrival came. B-but you--"
Taehyung's throat clogged shut. He turned around and stomped away, leaving behind Jimin who looked at him with confusion.
Jimin recollected that day with a heavy heart. He had felt like a sinner back then and seeing Yoongi cry had made him feel extremely guilty.
He had talked it out with Yoongi and the beta was patient and sweet enough to listen to everything.
But Taehyung... The omega never gives him a chance to speak his heart out and tell him whatever happened.
Whenever he advanced Taehyung, the younger male would glare at him, fist his hand and order him to stay away.
Just when will things change?
He, Hoseok and Yoongi were in a beautiful relationship, but Taehyung would never agree to this. Yoongi would feel terrible if he makes his own brother mad.
He had to do something. If not for himself, then for his beta.
He had gone to the field and stayed there until Taehyung did his horse-riding practice. He waited in the fields for Taehyung to return with his royal, well-fed brown horse.
It took quite a while but Taehyung did return before dusk. Taehyung completely ignored Jimin and got off the horse, kissing and petting it while smiling because he knew his horse loved to get attention like this.
"Taehyung..." Jimin started, begging to the goddess to convince Taehyung into listening to him.
Taehyung ignored him again.
The younger omega was about to walk off, but Jimin grabbed his arm, forcing him to turn around.
"Why won't you listen?" Jimin asks, ready to even beg Taehyung to listen.
There was a reason he was so desperate...
His mates were soon going to announce it to the entire kingdom and mark each other before them. Jimin knew Taehyung would be heartbroken if it happened without him knowing anything.
Jungkook didn't know too, but the alpha was much calmer and more understanding than Taehyung to handle such situations.
"Why should I even listen to you?" Taehyung asked with a growl. "You would've probably made my hyung fall in your trap, but you can't do that with me."
"Trap?" Jimin asks, hurt. "Him listening to me, forgiving me and even taking liking towards me is all a trap of mine, according to you?"
"What else can it be?" Taehyung asks, jutting his hip out and glaring down at Jimin as he rested his hands on his hip. "You gave him the most painful moments of his life... Why would he forgive you if it wasn't something you did to persuade him?"
"He forgave me because he taught I deserved forgiveness after listening to what I had to say--"
Taehyung cut him off in a rude tone and harsh words.
"What lie did you tell him? He loved Hoseok more than himself so you might've told him that he will get Hoseok if he forgives you and lets you live in this huge palace. Is that all you wanted?! You're such a gold digg--"
"Please shut up!" Jimin said, throat clogging shut. His eyes turned stern and pained. He didn't want to utter the next few words, but as a royal, he has only learnt to put lower people in their place.
"At least, I am a royal and I'm born to have all this! I wasn't brought to a palace as a sacrifice--"
He cut himself off with a gasp, realizing the pathetic things he was saying. Taehyung threw his head back and laughed fakely, turning red in anger.
"See," Taehyung seethed. "This is what you think of my hyung, right?! A sacrifice, a worthless servant, a person who is hindering your relationship with that stupid prince... That's all my brother is to you, right?!"
Jimin was speechless at how Taehyung was still thinking about Yoongi. Even though his relationship with his brother was commendable, he had to apologise for what he said.
"N-no--"
"Stop all this bullshit! I don't want to listen to you nor see your face. My brother is making a mistake by trusting you, and it already hurts enough that I can't show him your hidden reality so leave me fucking alone!"
"This is my reality!" Jimin cried, holding his arm desperately. "I truly love your brother as much as I love my mate!"
"No, you don't," Taehyung growled, jerking his hand away from Jimin. The omega stumbled forward before balancing himself and looking at Taehyung with teary eyes.
"You can never love Yoongi hyung. My hyung can forgive you, but he won't accept someone who his lover cheated on as a mate! Stay in your limits!"
"What are you afraid of, Taehyung?" Jimin sniffles, tears rolling down his cheeks. "Are you afraid that I'll break Yoongi hyung or are you afraid that he'll drift away from you because of me?"
Taehyung took a moment to calm his inners down. He held back his own tears, nose and ears turning red due to the pressure he applied to hold back from crying.
"H-haven't you already done that?" He asks in a broken voice, fisting his hand. "Haven't you already managed to make my only family drift away from?"
His words pierced Jimin's heart like a shattered piece of glass. He held back pained sobs and said, "I d-didn't do anything like that. He's still your brother and is yours just as much as he was before I came. He loves you just as much too."
"Not more than you..." Taehyung whimpered. "If he had to chose, he would chose you anytime. You just came a while ago, I was there for him for years. Yet, he yells at me, scolds me when I hurt you. Aren't you the one who come to me always? Have I not told you that I don't want to talk to you? Why won't he scream at you in the same way and ask you to stay away?"
"You're being immature, petal," Jimin stated softly, making Taehyung's blood boil even more. "He just scolds you because he doesn't want you to do anything wrong--"
"Staying beside you is a wrong deed too, so go away from here!" Taehyung yelled, losing control over his anger as he threw his hands towards him and pushed the boy to the ground.
Jimin yelped when his body crashed down on the stony ground, bruises forming on his hands instantly along with scratches and a bit deeper wound too. He tried to hold back sobs but couldn't manage to do so for long.
Taehyung's heart sank when he began sobbing loudly. He looked around, wondering if his hyung will come here.
The loud noises were enough to let everyone know that Jimin was crying as the palace wasn't even that far away from the field.
Jungkook was the first to come there after hearing the cries. Taehyung felt slight relief on seeing him, believing that he wouldn't just think that Jimin in right like his brother would do.
But the next thing a shocked Jungkook did made him frown in displeasure and feel his chest burn.
Jungkook rushed to Jimin and held his hand delicately, dusting off the dirt from him before examining his cuts.
Though he didn't look as worried as he was when Taehyung was hurt, the concern that flashed on his face made Taehyung feel even more angry.
Here I was believing that if no one else cares about me, you do. I was so fucking delusional to think that you care for me more than others.
How can you hold him like that when you held me with the same arm od yours?
How can you not come to me and ask me how I am and go to him first?
I'm sure now... I'm sure that you don't feel anything for me.
And that's how it should be! I don't need anyone for living with me and caring for me! I can stay all alone like I have been doing for the past three years.
Yet, his heart continued to sink as he sees Jungkook help Jimin to his feet. He wasn't jealous but rather... Angry. Angry because he was so lonely now and had absolutely no one by his side to listen to him cry about his pain and not yell at him for being heartless or immature.
Why was he either a slut or a pathetic and worthless person in everyone's eyes? Do they not see that he's hurting?
Yoongi and Hoseok were there after a while, worriedly questioning Jimin about what happened. Youngmi came rushing too after listening to her son-in-law's cries.
Jimin tried not to tell them about what Taehyung did, not wanting to make a scene, but one glance at Taehyung proved to Yoongi and Jungkook that he was the reason behind Jimin's state.
Yoongi was burning in dejection.
Taehyung had crossed all lines today. He had pushed Jimin earlier too, but it wasn't so bad that Jimin had cuts and bruises formed on his body like this time.
He kept his anger in and looked at his brother sternly, taking a few steps towards him to stand right before him. Taehyung shrunk in his feet, looking away.
"What's happening to you, Tae?" Yoongi asks softly, holding his shoulder. "why are you doing all this?"
Taehyung kept completely quiet because he knew he would only anger Yoongi more if he spoke a word.
He didn't intend for this to happen. He only wished to push Jimin away. He wasn't someone who would simply use physical methods to hurt a person and wouldn't do so even if he hated them.
But the fact that his brother was finally asking him what's going on with him, he decided to tell him how he's feeling constantly for the past three years.
"You don't seem to understand me anymore, hyung," he states brokenly. "Just a few years ago, you'd go around with me to every place I went and spend most of your time with me even though Hoseok hyung was there for you. But now... Can you tell me when did you last come to me at night and ask me if you could sleep with me?"
Yoongi kept silent, looking at his brother with softness as he noticed the tears forming at the corner of his eyes.
It might seem like Yoongi had stopped caring for him and had forgotten about him, but that could never happen.
Yoongi did go to Taehyung many times before. At nights, he would go to his room and stand outside to listen to his tiny snores until his heart was at peace so he could go back.
When he was dancing, Yoongi would look at him from far with a proud look and would seldom go to him, but Taehyung ignored him always because he was angry at his elder brother.
Yoongi admitted that it was his fault too. He had never let Taehyung be angry with him for long by bringing him gifts and other such things but he didn't do anything like that now.
He didn't fail as a brother, did he? Because if he did, then he would lose all meaning to live. He was here for Taehyung after all.
His love for the two boy's didn't matter more than Taehyung, but his brother pushed him away because of his love for them. He just didn't want to make him more mad so he stayed away.
He didn't know that his actions made Taehyung feel great loneliness. His brother was always an attention seeker and has got all of Yoongi's attention always.
"I keep waiting for you, hyung," Taehyung whimpered, taking a step back when Yoongi tried to hold him. "I wished to have you near but you were too busy with them."
Youngmi coughs to get their attention, having no idea about what Taehyung is speaking about.
She frowned at Taehyung, disliking that he hurt Jimin. She would forgive him as soon as she hears a sorry from him because she believes that Taehyung was still a child and was allowed to make mistakes.
"I don't know what you and your brother are fighting about, but you shouldn't have hurt Jimin."
She looks his awaitingly, urging him to say the word. She smiled when Taehyung pouted.
"Queen--" Jimin tried to protest but stopped when Youngmi shook her head at him.
"I've always taught you that it is okay to...?" She asks, speaking like she was talking to a child.
"...say sorry." Taehyung sighed after completing her sentence.
Taehyung took slow steps towards Jimin with his head ducked down, pout still resting on his face.
Jimin's heart melted immediately, and he was about to say that he didn't need to apologise but Youngmi showed him her palm, telling him to let Taehyung apologise.
"I..." Taehyung said, folding his hands together. He let out a deep breath, knowing that he had acted like a complete child earlier. "I'm sorry."
"It's okay," the reply came immediately. Taehyung looked up with sharp eyes which were softer then what they are when looking at Jimin.
"But you should learn your lesson too," Taehyung said. "Stay away from me... And my hyung."
"That won't happen, Tae," Yoongi spoke up. His words made frowns form on the faces of his family. "Queen, I wish to have the people of the kingdom gathered in the courtroom tomorrow."
"Why, son?" Youngmi asks curiously. "We haven't called for a crowd since Hoseok returned from the war. They've been waiting to see Jimin and Hoseok marry since then so they'd demand for it to happen tomorrow if we ask them to come here."
"Mom," Hoseok started anxiousness hidden behind a facade of happiness, "I'm getting married tomorrow."
He didn't mention that he was marrying two people tomorrow. He didn't want to do so because they won't let the marriage happen if they do so.
Youngmi squeals happily and rushed into the palace while yelling at everyone inside that her first son was getting married for their happiness.
Yoongi looked at Taehyung with sad eyes, noticing the nervousness in his eyes. Jimin's face clearly told that there was something more to what has been told.
"You'll be there when your hyung gets married, right, pup?" Yoongi asks Taehyung whose eyes widened, heart dropping.
"No!" He desperately held Yoongi. "Please don't do this, hyung!"
Yoongi pulled his hands away from Taehyung and walked away, leaving behind a distressed, displeased omega.
Taehyung had horror written on his face. He looked at Jimin and Hoseok who looked at him pitifully while Jungkook also seemed as shocked at he is.
"It's because of you!" Taehyung yelled at Jimin. "What have you done to my hyung?!"
Jimin just signed and turned around, concluding that Taehyung would never stop thinking that's it's his fault leaving along with Hoseok who looked at Jungkook's soft eyes which showed sympathy and support.
Jungkook accepted it. He knew they would be happy together.
But, on the other hand, Taehyung was breaking completely, refusing to believe what was happening.
If this managed to happen, his brother would drift farther away from himself. And what if something wrong happens to Yoongi... They were just in a relationship now and Yoongi had still stayed away for so long; if they got married, what would happen to him?
If Yoongi left, he was left with no one.
Taehyung strode into the forest to the place he spends most of his time. He punched the tree with his hand, ignoring the figure which appeared at the corner of his eyes with breathing ragged, following him.
"Tae, stop!" Jungkook yells when Taehyung continued to growl and punch the tree, his knuckles already bleeding, deep and sharp cuts on them.
Jungkook grabbed his shoulder, pushing away the uneasiness he felt on touching him and pulled him to himself.
Taehyung couldn't hear him at all. What he saw had made him more than just mad.
What would happen to Yoongi when he later realizes that his actions were only a mistake? There would be no way out of it then, and neither would any of them accept it.
Youngmi itself wouldn't ever agree to all this... How could they think that any of the kingdom people would agree.
It was a written fact that a royal blood never struggles as much as a servant for any matter not related to an omega.
His hyung...
"Taehyung," Jungkook cried again when he punched the tree. Taehyung was yanked back by the crown prince who forced him away from the trees, ignoring his growls and threats.
"Stop this," Jungkook ordered, looking down at him with sharp eyes. "I'm going to tie you up if you continue doing this!"
Taehyung was completely unfazed by what he said. He tried to pull his hand away from Jungkook and get back to taking his anger out on the poor tree.
"Stop behaving like a child, Taehyung!" Jungkook pleaded and that was enough for him to glare at him, shutting his actions down.
"Behaving like a child?" He asks, giving the deadliest glare at Jungkook who was more concerned of the wounds on his hand than the anger he possessed.
He couldn't stand seeing Taehyung bleed like this, and this was the second time in a week he was seeing Taehyung bleed.
"Your brother acts more immature than I do!" Taehyung seethes, snatching his hand away again and pushing Jungkook away when he tried to hold his palm again.
"Instead of going to him and beating him up for his stupid mistake he is going to make, you're here, calling me a child! Are you also like your pathetic brother? He's spoiling my brother's life! He knows he won't suffer so he is doing all this--"
"Why don't you understand that he will only suffer more if Yoongi hyung is suffering?!" Jungkook yells but his voice wasn't strong enough to dominate the omega or hurt him in any way.
Taehyung bared his teeth at him and attempted to break away from his hands again to take his anger out on the tree.
"Calm down first," Jungkook stated calmly, his heart shattering when he sees how broken the boy looked from within.
"Stop," he ordered when Taehyung continued to squirm and twist his hand to set himself free.
Stop hurting yourself, love. Jungkook wanted to tell to Taehyung, wishing to have the authority to say those words. He couldn't do so because he wasn't anyone to the omega.
Why are you here now after holding Jimin in the same way you did to me a few days ago? Was all Taehyung could think while looking at the stern yet calm faced alpha.
"I'm not going to speak until you calm down," Jungkook says monotonously. Taehyung scoffed and looked away.
"Bold of you to assume that I even want to speak to you," Taehyung said, turning around to leave but being held back by the alpha again who held him strongly but enough to not bruise him.
However strong the hold was, Jungkook was applying least force.
"Let me go!" He snapped, gritting his teeth together when Jungkook looked at him with a peaceful expression, eyebrows raised, still waiting for him to calm down.
Taehyung huffed out. He stood like an upset child who wasn't given sweets from his mother when he asked for it.
Moments passed just like that. Taehyung still stood strong, glaring up at Jungkook while the alpha looked at him with soft eyes, inhaling and exhaling deeply, urging Taehyung to follow his actions.
Jungkook was working on his confidence near Taehyung. Even if he had been nervous to speak to him before coming here, he had no problem now.
He behaved like the way Taehyung says an alpha should. Strong and stern, protective of their loved ones.
Maybe, his wolf just made him like this as he was prideful and always wished to stay strong and portray himself as dominant before Taehyung.
Whatever it was, he was happy it was present because he was able to stand and speak to Taehyung because of it.
Taehyung took deep breaths, slowly getting calmer, forcefully calming himself.
The furrow between his eyebrows slowly vanished until he was looking at Jungkook with a calmer expression than before, eyes turning sad as the anger faded. He exhaled shakily, tearing up.
"Are you calm now?" Jungkook asks, and the omega only nods. "Have you no control over your emotions? If you get into a problem, do you always go break your hands and head?"
"It hurts," Taehyung whimpers. "The pain in my chest is more than the one in my hand."
Jungkook sighed, smile playing on his lips as he instantly forgot about how upset he was when he saw the boy hurt himself.
"Will you go on and break all your bones until the physical pain transcends the emotional one? That's not how you handle it, Taehyung."
The omega whimpered, accepting that he was doing wrong. Jungkook knew this was how Taehyung was.
This was what he means when he says that Taehyung does every action according to his feelings and impulse, not thinking twice before doing anything may it be right or wrong.
It was innocent and cute when he did such things, but sometimes annoying like how it was a few minutes ago.
To Jungkook, anger was only something you should bury within oneself however bad and wrong the situation is. It has never been that a person has taken a good decision in anger.
A fuming person either breaks himself or breaks others, emotionally or mentally.
Jungkook was just someone with such a huge heart that he would never take out harsh words from his mouth even if he was losing his mind. He was used to smiling through pain to not let others get affected.
Why break a person's heart through meaningless words which you don't mean but spit out because of a stupid emotion?
Taehyung broke himself and others when red in annoyance or anger, and Jungkook knew that very well.
"Think properly, Tae," Jungkook said, tugging his shirt to urge him to sit down. Jungkook smiled when the boy listened to him like an obedient puppy and sat down on the ground, facing him.
"You aren't the only one who cares about Yoongi hyung. I do too, and Hoseok hyung does it much more than both of us."
"He doesn't," Taehyung denies, sniffling. "If he did, he wouldn't hurt my brother like this. First, he married that omega and now..."
Jungkook's shoulders slumped down when he understood that the boy was still not ready to accept the things that happened two to three years ago.
Why was he still stuck in the past? Didn't anyone come to him and try to explain everything to him?
He had certainly noticed how lonely and crestfallen Taehyung looked sometimes but had concluded that he might've fought with Yoongi.
He didn't know that Yoongi wasn't even speaking to him properly since then.
Even if he did know, he wouldn't have the guts to come up to him and take his pain away. He would stay afar and only cut his own heart into pieces to feel Taehyung's pain.
He had a chance to make Taehyung understand everything now though, so that it what he will do.
"I don't know what your thoughts about love is, Taehyung, but love has the power to make a person's life and also break one down completely. Yoongi hyung and Hoseok hyung love each other, that's why they were in pain when Jimin came to their life. True love was the only reason your brother shed tears and it is the only reason your brother will do what he is going to do tomorrow."
Taehyung shakes his head, denying it but not saying anything against him.
"Listen to me carefully. You know that Parks kingdom had fallen, right?" Taehyung nods at that.
"The Parks have one child, Jimin. If Jimin was a beta or alpha, he would be completely safe in that society where people love alphas. But... He is an omega. The new king of Park kingdom is a man around fifties."
Taehyung was listening intently while looking at the ground like a scolded puppy, pouty lips puckered out.
"That man isn't someone good. He would do really bad things you cannot even imagine to Jimin. Would this be alright?"
Taehyung shook his head a 'no'.
"Hoseok hyung had saved his life--"
"There could've been other ways!" Taehyung claimed. "Hoseok never cared for my hyung. If he did, he would either run away from there with Jimin or just attack the king and threaten him to take his life if he did something wrong!"
Jungkook nodded, acknowledging what he said. There might have been other ways, but it was important to understand that a desperate person who was supposed to do something quickly couldn't sit down and think about the consequences of his actions.
Hoseok must've done this in hurry while Jimin was being dragged away by that old filthy man.
Taehyung was blinded by his brother's sadness to understand this.
"If you find someone in pain, would you think of your future or others? My hyung keeps others before himself just like how he's always kept his family before himself."
Taehyung looks at him for a while, processing his words and thinking about the meaning of all this.
He frowns, not liking that Jungkook's words actually made sense.
"Your hyung should have still thought about Yoongi and not Jimin because he loves Jimin!"
Jungkook flinched at his sudden outburst, chuckling because there was no difference between a child and Taehyung now.
"You're wrong," Jungkook stated. "An alpha of Atlas loves every omega who exists."
Taehyung ignored the pang in his chest. He tried to tame his thoughts but failed to do so.
Do you also love every omega? Was I just some omega, any other omega, to you yesterday when you carried me to my room in your arms?
He threw the thought away, concluding to think about that later.
For now, he didn't know what he will do tomorrow. Was he supposed to try and stop the marriage and hurt his brother, go away and hide somewhere for the entire day and hurt his brother again or attend the marriage and hurt himself but make his hyung happy?
Taehyung pouted when he couldn't give himself an answer. He looked at Jungkook and decided to try to get his help in this matter
"What should I do tomorrow? How should I ignore my brother's mistake and fulfil his request of attending the marriage?"
"Don't you want to see your brother happy?" Jungkook asks his question instead of answering Taehyung straight away. "If you think he is going to be hurt, you're wrong."
"How can you say that?"
"Because this is what your hyung has desired for years now. No matter what he heard from the people or the queen, he will still be glad because of what he did. He loves Jimin too, and you have to accept it because this what his happiness lies in."
"And what about me?" Taehyung asks, sniffling. "If he leaves..."
"He isn't leaving Taehyung. He loves you, and nothing can change that, alright? There is absolutely no need for you to think that Jimin or Hoseok are stealing you away from him. Just support him because if you don't, he will be more hurt than ever before."
Taehyung nodded softly.
That was all that was required. A few soft words, proper explanation and sweet and convincing eyes were enough for Taehyung to understand and feel better about everything.
His pain and insecurity wasn't fully vanished yet, but he was better.
Jungkook was proud at himself because he managed to make him calm.
Taehyung was twenty years old but acted nothing more than a child. It would be annoying to take his tantrums or see him get stubborn and angry, but he also had the uncorrupted heart like that of a child.
Again, Taehyung was like the sun which goes through different phases in a single day. His anger could burn people and his soft and sweet side soothed the nerves of the crown prince.
Oh, how madly in love Jungkook was in Taehyung.
"Your hyung is really brave and smart, Tae. Don't worry about this and trust him. He will sort it all out."
"How can I not worry about my hyung?" Taehyung looked at him in disbelief.
"What will you do by thinking about this, hmm? You can't stop him from doing what he is doing. After all, being stubborn and stern is in the blood of a Kim."
"Are you insulting me?" Taehyung asks, squinting his eyes suspiciously.
Jungkook just smiled in response, pointing towards the bleeding knuckles of his.
"See the proof. I kept begging you to stop, but you stupidly chose to smash your hand to lessen emotional pain. Did you breaking your hand make any difference to the situation?"
"It made my pain less."
"Yeah?" Jungkook laughs teasingly, swiping his hands over his knuckles which drew a hiss from the boy. "Are you sure about that?"
Taehyung pouted, glaring at his hand now. Jungkook patted his head affectionately.
He didn't know where he got the confidence from but was gald that it was like this.
What am I going to do with my heart if you behave like this, flower?
Taehyung hesitantly, slowly, leaned forward and gave Jungkook a hug--hold so soft that Jungkook couldn't even feel his arms around him properly--as a sign if gratitude as the elder had made him understand the problems and the story from both sides.
It was a pure sign of gratitude towards Jungkook. He was thankful to him for making him understand what the situation is.
Jungkook's heart stopped, body froze.
Just stop. You keep doing things like this and make me fall more for you.
If you continue doing this, I'm gonna envelop you in my arms and keep you with me forever.
"Petal," he whispered, tracing his shaking fingers on Taehyung's soft shoulders. He doesn't say the next words though Taehyung was waiting to hear him complete his sentence, ignoring the nickname which made his stomach twist.
I like you so damn much.
But these words didn't reach Taehyung.
