Jungkook pushed the toy kitten into his hoodie pocket, walking up the stone steps. He smiled when he saw the kitten laying there, it made him think of his siblings, and how he wanted to make them happy. Jungkook's face showed no emotion though, although his mind was happy, he would never show it.

He spotted the almost glass building. Buildings like these were too extravagant and awing for him. He never lived in the rich part of town, he lived with his father and his siblings. They moved constantly in hopes for a better life, until his father became so sick he had to go to the hospital. Jungkook smiled; he has. He has shown raw emotion, until his father passed with brain cancer. It hurt him so much that he trained himself to never get attached to anyone else, he will simply lose them.

Jungkook walked right past the lady at the front desk. He was a regular there. He marched down the row of rooms, seeming like jail cells, only worse. He paused at a door, a sign hung on it 'Jeon Jae'. Jungkook pressed the door open, his heart dropping at the sight. Jae was six, only six, and he was battling leukemia. Jungkook gently woke the boy up, setting the kitten on his lap.

The boy flinched at the unknown contact, but sat up slightly. His arms flopped down to his lap, a bright smile on his face as he looked up at Jungkook with adoration.

"Thank you Kookie!" Jae giggled, giving a quick hug to the boy before he sunk back down into the covers.

"Hows the treatment going?" Jungkook asks, a frown replacing his slightly raised lips. He patted Jae's leg. Jae looked up in excitement.

"The doctor said I have a chance Kookie, but he says I might not-"

"Don't think about that, Jae." Jungkook instructed, trying to keep the disheartened boy happy. "I need to go, Jae. I need to go into work. Dad's will is running low and I can't buy treatments without working."

"Okay, b-but- be back i have another treatment today." Jae informed, to which Jungkook nodded.

And with that, Jungkook went from the hospital, not knowing troubles lying not far ahead.
