I get a lot of inspiration from dreams, but also in general, I ask myself what book would I love to read that I haven't come across yet?

It always takes me a long time to mentally iron through ideas I have for new stories. Most times I begin with a simpler concept and write the details as I go. I tend to avoid researching ideas or looking online -- the best ones I find are ones that pop in my head after having an impromptu brainstorm in a random place, like if I'm showering, waking up, or falling asleep. I let my own thoughts inspire my ideas, but music or movies can be great catalysts for ideas, too!

Inspiration comes from everywhere, although most of what I get are from my dream and reading other people's book as well. It's all about trigger words and point of views - every story can have a new spin.
