Welcome, Sci-Fi writers, to another Sci-Friday challenge!

This month, we challenge you to write a story based on the following snippet.

When I met my nemesis for the first time face to face, I thought I looked into a mirror. They could have been my twin. But then another turned up, and a third. This was impossible... what did they want of me?

A few rules:

Your story must be written in English and qualify as science fiction. It can be a maximum of 2500 words long. You don't have to write the story in first person and you don't have to use the prompt word by word, but it must be recognisable in your story.

Please publish the story on your Wattpad profile — either as a stand-alone story or a chapter in an existing anthology. Only one chapter, please.
