Rita looks around, her cones and rods had been adjusted to the dark for quite some time now and it became easy to see in the darkroom they were in. she noticed a faint light coming from the left of them. "Morty, I think I see a way out of here!"  Morty stops pulling on the rope in whatever direction they were going. 

Morty gets closer to her, "Where do you see light?"  looking for the same thing that Rita sees.

Rita grabs the rope and pulls Morty to the light. "Do you see it now Morty?" 

Morty responds to her in the dark, "I-I think I can see it now." 

Rita uses her proprioception to find the wall of the place where the light was coming through. "I think we have been in a sensory deprivation chamber, Morty."  She touched a wall that felt cold and hard under her hand, she runs her hands along the bottom where she saw the light coming from. 

"Morty, do you feel any light switches or levers anywhere near this door?" 

Mory shuffles around in the dark as well looking for anything, in particular, that would be useful for the both of them. "I-I think I found a doorknob." Morty tries to jiggle it and it doesn't budge. "Rita give me your knife. I can pick this door." 

Rita grabs the knife and hands the knife to Morty. "I can try and kick the door down if you want to try that." 

"N-no we should try the element of surprise, we don't want- want to alarm anyone who is here." Morty says flatly. 

Rita could hear different sorts of shuffling and jiggling as Morty picked the lock with the knife she had in her boot. 

Rita began to grow impatient, while Morty continued to pick the lock. She had thoughts of trying to kick down the door. 

 Morty smiles in the dark, as the door clicked open. "I got it!" 

Rita tries the doorknob again and opens the door. They open up into a dimly lit cave system, Rita had no idea where they were; this was all new to her.  "Morty where are we?" she asked worriedly while looking around.  They both untie the ropes and continue down the hall, Rita looks behind them at the black hole they had emerged from. The room didn't have any labels on it so it didn't help them much either.

"Rita I'm not sure where we are." he says as they stop to get their bearing. 

She hears someone around the corner laughing, the voice was getting closer to them it was a familiar voice that they both knew. The voice of Rick. 

 "Morty, I think Rick has come for us!" Rita goes to look for Rick excitedly. Morty quickly grabs her arm and covers her mouth and holds her against the stalagmite. He holds the silence sign against his lips. He then looks behind himself to see two Ricks walk by oblivious to the fact that the two kids were there. "Rick hasn't come for us yet if he did this entire place would be turned upside down, I-I think we are on the citadel." Morty whispers to Rita. Rita's eyes widen as the two Ricks walked by, How the hell is that even possible? Did he clone himself or something?

"What is the...Citadel?" Rita asks after Morty uncovered her mouth.

 "It-It doesn't matter right now we just need to find a portal gun or a spaceship and leave this place we have someone after us, and we need to leave. " Morty whispers back. Rita nods her head to agree with him.  She had to hand it to Morty that he was a creative person. She believed that with the both of them they would have an idea to get out of this hell hole. 

Morty looks around again, "Rita stay close to me." Morty gets up and walks around the corner calmly, Rita follows suit.
