*August 2022 - New York*

Dominique was already at the hotel with Maggie, and as they walked toward Dominique's room, they encountered each other. When Dominique opened the door with her hotel key, she was surprised to see her friends waiting inside.

All: Surprise!

Dominique: *looks around while seeing everybody*

Travis: Little Miss Sunshine has arrived.

Maggie: Happy birthday, girl. *hugs her*

Dominique: Thank you so much. *hugs her back and hugs her parents*

All: *watching them*

Zoe: I've made this cake for you. I know you liked it. Dominique? *shows her the cake*

Dominique: *sees the candle on the cake*

While her friends sang Happy Birthday, Dominique felt proud as her parents celebrated her special day. After she blew out the candles and enjoyed the cake, they relaxed in the hotel's entertainment room.

Liliana: *holds her* Dominique, how are you feeling?

Dominique: I feel good. Nothing happened with the bad thing; lousy girl gone good.

Liliana: Be careful what we wish for. Some of the newest fresh meat is coming to our school this semester.

Dominique: *hearing*

Liliana: Don't blame us if they are trying to start fucking with us; it's on each one of them.

Dominique: Once I get back to the room, I have to check out the Literature book and read through it.

Liliana: You know what? If you bought that book earlier this week, I already have it in my bag.

Dominique: *hearing*

Liliana: It's all enjoying your party. *looking at everyone*

Dominique: *doing the same*

Later, in the hotel room, Dominique and Jessie focused on school until they began another semester in the next two weeks; they looked at a Literature book they would teach in class.

Jessie: Hey.

Dominique: *looking at her*

Jessie: It was easier for me when I was going through this stupid book; I don't feel that type of Literature that much.

Dominique: *hearing*

Jessie: Meaningless, you understand what you make. Everything is right for the Literature, as is what you learned.

Dominique: If we have the same class, I'll peek around to help you.

Jessie: It makes me feel bad; what if I could fail this one?

Dominique: Don't be silly, Jess.

Jessie: I'm not silly, alright? I'm deadass serious.

Dominique: I'm on your side, you're still a queen bitch. We are the queens as long as we're chilling out the hallway.

Jessie: *still looking at the book*

Dominique: *looks at her*

Jessie: I know you keep staring at me. *smirks a bit*

Dominique: *noticed her smirk*

The next day in Hudson, Zoe works for the lifeguard team in the pool; she comes out of the building to check up on her team until she sees one of the team fall asleep on the lifeguard seat and thinks about having her idea.

*3 minutes later*

Zoe: *comes out of the water and nods to the other team*

Team 1: *nods and blows the whistle at Team 2* JP, what the fuck are you doing?! There's something at the bottom of the pool! Come on, come on!

Team 2: *jumps to the water*

Zoe: *with the team and waiting*

Team 2: *gets out of the water* There's nothing in the water!

Zoe: You should've stayed awake and kept an eye on these folks.

Team 1: *laughs*

Team 2: *looks at Team 1*

Later that night, Tobias and Alice enter the carnival, looking at everyone while confronting each other before they buy the tickets. They both go around looking for a ride or getting cotton candy. Alice had decided to go for a ride, but then they saw Lance and Terri holding the cotton candy and walking together.

Alice: Honestly, we didn't expect to see them here.

Tobias: Same.

Alice: What are we gonna do?

Tobias: We're friends with them, remember?

Alice: Yeah? It's as simple as that.

Lance: Hmm, and then they were two. *sees them* How's it going?

Tobias: To be fair, we just got here.

Alice: We're gonna ride a couple of things, and that's it; I know it's getting a little late sooner. 

Tobias: Catching up her energy.

Lance: No kidding.

After Alice acquired cotton candy, she and Terri sat at the table, enjoying it while watching others play the water game and engaging in friendly competition.

Alice: Have you seen "Only the Brave"?

Terri: I heard of it. I've seen the clip; I really should've watched that.

Alice: You do; it's a powerful one. When the movie starts before the countdown, it sounds like five, four, three, two...beep.

Terri: I'm asking my students if I could choose to watch the film later this semester.

Alice: *hearing*

Terri: What about them? They can learn effectively by collaborating with these kids during the school year. *looking at them while confronting with Alice*

Alice: *nods softly*

The following day, Travis visited the supermarket with his dad to find ingredients for dinner. While searching for fresh produce, Liliana saw him, who was already in the market, and she walked over to him.

Liliana: Travis!

Travis: *turns around and sees her* Liilana, what are you doing here?

Liliana: Shopping by myself.

Travis: Yourself, where are your parents?

Liliana: They're in the car waiting.

Travis: Oh, I see.

Liliana: Who are you with?

Travis: Dad. We're splitting up to grab food.

Liliana: Listen, I don't wanna make it complaining; I'm only to see you while I'm out here.

Travis: I gotta go; my father is waiting for me. Nice to see you. *walks away*

Liliana: See ya. *doing the same and looking over the phone and listening to the music, putting on one earbud and continuing shopping*
