plot: fifteen-year-old Jacob is a demon hunter who finds a young demon hunter.

there it was. right in front of me was the huge narley beast I'd been hunting for weeks, it had the body of a duck but was the size of a Trex, its color was dark green but it had red eyes, their sharp teeth were shown wherever it roared. 

it was walking down the main street unknown to the civilians, I'm genuinely curious as to how the civilians never notice the demons that hunt their city and prey on them all.

I, Jacob, hunter of demons, took out my demon hunter crossbow and pointed it at the T-rex duck. when suddenly a voice spoke next to me.

"Why do you have a crossbow?"

I looked down and standing next to me was a young boy, he couldn't be older than six.

"Hello?" the boy asked snapping his fingers in my face.

"Who are you?" I asked.

"I'm Lee, who are you?" 

"Jacob, how did you see my crossbow?"

"by staring at it?" the boy looked confused at my question.

I was shocked, the civilians weren't supposed to see my weapons.

"Can you see that?" I asked pointing at the duck.

"Yeah, I kept telling my mom but she didn't believe me. She thinks I'm crazy."

that made it official, this boy, Lee, was not just a civilian, no, he was a demon hunter.

"stay here, I'll be back," I told him.

"Okay."

I flew up and shot the dino duck in the heart, it let out a long deep roar and exploded. I went back to Lee who stared at me in amazement.

"that was awesome!" Lee exclaimed.

"How would you like to come with me? I have a friend I think you should meet," I told him.

"Okay, but I need to be back home in one hour because my dad will be there to pick me up."

I grabbed the boy's hand and led him to the hideout.

"Who's that?" Mike, one of the hunters asked.

"I'm Lee," Lee said walking up to shake Mike's hand.

When Mike stood up and walked over towards me, Lee looked at his hand wondering why Mike didn't shake it.

"he's one of us." I explained, "I was hunting Dino duck when the kid talked to me, he saw Dino duck."

"what does this do?" Lee asked.

I looked at him and saw he was (this is when the twenty-minute timer ended) holding one of our blasters. he shot it at Mike and me who had to duck so we wouldn't explode. mike glared at me and io gave him a sheepish smile while shrugging.

"awesome." I heard Lee whisper in amazement.

mike and I stood up, mike took the blaster, picked the kid up by the back of the collar on his shirt, and handed him to me.

"take him home, lie to his mom saying he almost got hit by a car," Mike ordered.

"but-" I started.

mike bent down to Lee.

"where do you go to school?"

"the elementary school on Rapert Road."

"tell your mom you joined the soccer team." Mike told him, "after school every day Jacob is going to pick you up and bring you here to train-"

"am I going to fight those monsters too?" asked Lee.

"Once you're older," mike answered.

"awesome," Lee said.

"you can't tell anyone about this, okay?" Mike asked.

"I promise!"

"good."

I took Lee back home and lied to his mom, she thanked me and I returned to the hideout.

"you think I should train him?"

mike nodded.

"why?"

"because he reminds me of you." Mike answered, "it'll be easier for you to train him, and besides, I hate children."

"they're not too bad," I replied.

"you're only saying that because you are a child. did you complete your homework?"

"I'm fifteen! and no, dino duck got in the way."

"go do your homework."

I listened and sat at the table to do my homework.
