Chapter 6
Julia's POV
"I don't like library. It's too quiet. The librarians are so strict, the librarians don't allow us to laugh-"
"The person next to me won't stop complaining,"
I finished for her. April had been moaning on and on about how boring the library was. The library wasn't too bad, it was a break from all the noise and craziness. And the books were wonderful too.
"All because of your training." I flicked to a random page of the book I was holding. What book was I reading? I checked the cover.
Star wars.
Oh yuck no. I chucked it into the book pile next to me. I'm rather...fussy, about the books I read. Besides, I'm a Science fan, and in my opinion Star Wars goes against the whole meaning of Science.
I picked up a random book on Science. Something about Physics. I chucked that on the pile. I prefer Chemistry thank you very much.
About thirty minutes later and a thorough scanning of the Science shelves, I finally found a Chemistry book. Partly because it always took forever to find a good book because the library was always messy. Even the librarians didn't bother to tidy up the shelves properly. They only cared if the books were on the floor.
Flipping through the Chemistry book, I realised there was nothing new. Dissolving metal in Hydrochloric Acid; done it. Blowing flames from a bottle using a thin layer of Ethanol; done it. I closed the book and read the title, which I only ever bother reading when I've had a look in the book.
Bubbly brews.
Lame title.
I tossed the book into the pile. As the book hit the floor with a solid thunk, I heard a loud yell from behind me. I turned in alarm. Andrew stood behind me. Uh oh.
He had a fist raised.
"Why you little..." when he saw my face, he stopped speaking. He gaped at me for several seconds. Then he shook his head and growled as if frustrated.
"Next time you won't be so lucky." He muttered angrily, not meeting my eyes. Then he ran off.
How strange.
