Chapter 2
Julia's POV
April and I walked to second period. Science was fun, but I didn't really like learning about Biology. It was ewww this and ewww that. Dissecting things was horrible.
Ms Fiddler told us to write about how our taste buds send signals to our brain in a clear real life situation. A fight broke out in the back row, because someone had stuck their pencil up someone's nose.
I sighed. While April hugged my arm and laughed so hard I thought her head was going to fall off, I did what Ms Fiddler had assigned. I looked past April's shoulder and saw a girl sitting next to Marriot, one of April's airhead friends, also writing. She was the only other sensible person in this class, I realised looking around. Everyone else was laughing or fighting.
I flicked the page to page 20. It was a stupid flowchart we had to finish. It said How does the brain send messages?
When you're eating you taste cabbage. I personally didn't like cabbage. Your mouth sends the taste to your brain.
I looked down to the second box.
Your brain sends a message to your mouth that says 'tastes very BAD! Spit it out now.'
I scribbled onto my worksheet.
Third box.
And then your mouth spits it out.
I didn't want to write anymore for that box.
And then your parents tell you off. I decided to add.
I wasn't going to get any A*'s for that, but it would be better than the others, who would probably have an F because they didn't do anything other than fight in class.
Madness.
