Chapter nineteen: New Girl

Chapter nineteen: Lexi

"Please state your full name."

"Alexandra Stacey Mchammel. But I go by Lexi." The Agent nodded.

"Alright, and please state your age." I took a deep breath. This man said I could trust him. Tommy said I could trust him....

"Fourteen." The Agent nodded again.

"Please state your immediate family."

"My Dad, my stepmother Mitchy, my stepbrother Zayne, and my stepsister Angie. Didn't know my mom." He nodded.

"Your friend Tommy said you were a demigod, a descendant of the Ancient Greek Gods. You could've ran and said he was crazy,  but you stayed and followed him to Hero High. Why?" Why.. that was a good question.

No...I wasn't exactly attacked. I almost was. The lady at the store started to shapeshift into some sort of snake women, but before I could get a good look, Tommy pulled me out and ran. I followed him (because he had a really tight grip on my arm) and when he called out to some man called "Doctor Strange", I thought he was crazy. Doctor Strange wasn't real, contrary to Zayne's belief.

Sure enough, however, a man appeared out of nowhere and teleported us to some different world that looked like Narnia and some giant school put together.

"I dunno...part of me says because I didn't have a chocie when Doc Strange teleported us here... but I dunno... maybe because I wanted to fit in somewhere? Tommy said there was more demigods like me so... maybe I wanted to fit in?" Agent Whatever (still don't know his name) looked like he was trying to figure out whether or not my answer was good enough or not. Finally nodding his head, he smiled up at me.

"Welcome Alexandra, to Hero High."

~~~~~~~~~~~~
"So you're a satyr."
"Yes."
"And you're half goat?"
"That would be what a satyr is, yes."
"So....why didn't you tell me?" Tommy sighed. After Agent Koenig (finally learned his name) cleared me, Tommy was instructed to get me to the Guidence Counselor's office to get me schedule, and my room number. Also a list of my roomates, and the handbook.
"With demigods, the more you know, the more dangerous you are, unfortunately. I knew you were a demigod for awhile, as I told you, but I wasn't sure if I should bring you here... like I told you... here we'll help you discover who your parent is, and help train you to be a hero... like most people here." I raised an eyebrow.
"Most? And we?"
"The teachers here. Professor Misako, Mister Stark, Doctor Richards and Doctor Banner, Director Fury, Chiron, Professor Snape, Coach Hedge, and many more." He didn't answer my most question.
"Anyway, here we are. The students are at lunch right now, so you should have plenty of time to get your stuff. In theory." Tommy muttered. I don't think he expected me to hear that.
"Ah. Tommy. This must be Lexi." How many people know my name?
"I am Aslan, and this is Iroh. We are the schools Guidence Counselors." A Giant Lion and a very stereotypically old man with a long beard...yeah. I guess I can live with that.
"Uh....H-Hi...." Iroh chuckled.
"I told you that we should've waited to introduce you." Aslan let out a low chuckle.
I wonder if he purred...
"Lexi, I promise you I won't bite." Aslan said.
"He's housebroken too." Iroh added, chuckling to himself. I cracked a smile, afraid to say something that will sound completely and utterly stupid.
"Now, seeing as how we don't know who your Godly parent is yet, we don't know if you parent contains any magic of sorts, so we don't know if we should add in any extra classes or anything yet." Iroh explained.
"For now, you will have the basic classes. Science, Tech Lab, History, Defense Strategy, Foreign Language, Spy defense/skills, Potions, and Gym." Aslan added on.
"Tommy here will be your guide for the first few days of school. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask him or us." I nodded, taking the stack of papers from Iroh.
"A-Alright." Aslan bowed his head slightly.
"Now run along. The bell should be ringing--." The loud sound of a bell ringing cut him off.
"Now." Taking a deep breath, I walked out. Instantly to be faced by a sea of students, and a red and yellow blur that ran right past me, catching me off guard.
"Tommy. Where do I--."
"Your first class is Tech Lab. This way." Tommy said, taking my hand and leading me through the crowd. For a dude with goat legs, he seemed to move very easily through the crowd.
Instead of paying attention to where Tommy was headed, I looked around at the variety of students. Some were dressed very formally, with ties and skirts, along with nice sweaters, then had what looked like bathrobes wrapped around them. A few had badges. Then there were kids with orange t-shirts with a black CHB written on them. Some kids had purple t-shirts with gold SPQR or something like that written on them. Others were dressed in normal clothes.
And some kids didn't look human.
I know I'm not one to talk, being only half human...but I saw some blue furry kid, a guy with a demon tail, giant mutant turtles,  and some guy made of ice and another made of metal.
Metal!!
Almost triping several times, Tommy lead me up the stairs, and to the left stopping at a classroom.
"Here's Mister Stark's class. But don't call him that, call him Tony. He doesn't like Mister Stark. But uh...he isn't here so... the sub is Pepper. Call her Mrs. Stark. Or Potts. She answers to both." Before I could ask why they're having Mister--Tony's wife sub, Tommy pushed me in.
"See you later!!" Shutting the door behind me, I saw that most of the students were there already. Actually, I think all of them were, and it was a big class. Like, college big I guess. Not that old yet or that smart.
"Mrs. Stark, a new... student has arrived." I jumped at the sound of the unknown voice. I didn't see any of the kids open their mouths...
"Oh, thank you JARVIS. Class, please welcome Lexi." Do all the teachers know my nickname?
"Hey/Hello/Hi Lexi." Was my chorused answer. I let out a timid wave.
"Hi." Mrs. Stark/Potts smiled kindly.
"Now in class we have been working on a two person project. Obviously being the newest student means you don't have a partner, so I'll have you join a group. Any volunteers?" Silence. Yea, that was about right.
"Uh, she can join our group Mrs. Potts." A girl with long brown hair, and I believe matching hazel eyes said, rasing her hand.
"Thank you Kitty. Lexi, you can join Kitty and Rouge's group." Rouge? Who names their kid Rouge?
"Uh....O-Okay." I mumbled,  sitting down in a desk near them. Ms. Potts started talking to the class, but instead of being a good little student and listening, I looked around the room.
There was a handful of students who looked bored, some who weren't paying attention, and some that were. However, that isn't what interested me.
Tommy had said most of them were heroes... most of us were heroes. What did he mean by that? Were the freaky looking kids not supposed to be heroes? Were they like, video game monsters that were here for some reform school or something? I mean, the purple masked turtle didn't look frightening...but his buddy next to him (the giant mass of blue fur) certainly looked like a beast.
"Class you may begin your work." Looking away from the two mutants, I turned over to look at Kitty and Rouge.
Weird names.
"Hi Lexi, my name is Kitty, but you can call me Shadowcat if you want." Why would I call her Shadowcat?
"And this here is Rouge. That's kinda her name and her code name at the same time, so I guess you can pretty much only call her Rouge, as I don't know her real name, and I don't think she's ever told anyone." Why not?
"Kitty, I think you're scaring her." Rouge said. She sounded southern, and the white mark in her hair looked rather interesting... maybe that's why they call her Rouge?
"Oh. Whoops. Sorry. Normally I'm paired with someone who's as chatty as I am, like Kurt or sometimes M'gaan." M'gaan? I'm starting to think this girl might be a little crazy.
"Kitty, we need to focus. I ain't gettin no C just because you want to play gossip girly girl with the new girl." Well at least Kitty seems nice.
"Oh, right! So Lexi, our project is we're supposed to create a perfect utopia that fits our image. Rouge and I already have most of the details figured out, but you can add in your thoughts to make it even better." I forced a smile.
"Sounds great." Kitty grinned.
"So, what Class to you belong to?"
"Kitty!!"
"What? I'm just trying to start a conversation with her. It's more than you've done."
"We need to focus."
"Ever heard of multitasking?" As I watched the two girls bicker, I wondered what she meant by class.
And if I was actually gonna learn anything today.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When the bell rang, Tommy was right there waiting for me outside the door.

"So? How was your first Tech Lab class?" I shrugged.

"Okay I guess. I didn't learn much through." Tommy chuckled.

"Yeah, in Tony's class you don't learn much. Just build some stuff cause he doesn't really have a lesson plan." What type of teacher doesn't have a lesson plan?

"Your next class is... History. Which is good, I heard Professor Misako is really nice." Tommy started heading down the stairs, with me trailing behind him.

"Hey Tommy?"

"Yea?"

"A girl...Kitty... she asked me what class I'm apart of... what does that mean?"

"Class means what group you're apart of. There's quite a few here at Hero High. There's the Demigod Class, which is one of the largest Classes here. The Demigod Class is split into two groups, Camp Half Blood, or CHB and Camp Jupiter; CHB being Greek and the later being Roman. Then, there's Wizard/Witch Class, which I think is the largest one here. That is split up into three or four groups, whom names I'm forgetting. Then, there's the Mutant Class, which isn't as big as the Demigod class, but it's pretty big in size. They belong to Xavier's school for gifted youngsters, which wraps them up. They also go by the X-men, and no, X doesn't stand for Xavier. After that I believe is Agent, which covers everyone having to do with the Strategic Homeland Inland Enforcement Division or something like that. Basically SHIELD. Then I think the Ninja have they're own category, but if not after that is just normal human. You belong to the Demigod Class, but until we find your parent, you don't belong to either Camps. For now, you're just a demigod." That was a really long explanation.

When we got to the bottom of the stairs, I saw a large crowd just gathered around. Pushing my way through, I looked over some kids shoulder to see what was happening.

Three kids, one with a CHB shirt and two with a SPQR shirt, we're making they're way down the hall. The one in the middle, a girl with a SPQR shirt, was being carried by her friends. Or, I'm assuming they're friends.

The girl looked like she had been through hell. She was covered in dirt, and cuts, as were they other kids. However, the girl in the middle had her ankle bent in a weird way, and looked like she had been stabbed in the thigh.

"Someone help us get her to the hospital wing!!" The boy in the CHB shirt called out. Instantly a group of kids jumped up, offering to help them all to the Hospital Wing, wherever that is.

"Tommy... what happened to them?" No answer. Quickly, I looked around, and realized my friend had vanished.

"They just got back from a quest." A boy next to me answered instead.

"A quest?" He raised an eyebrow.

"About every other week, a few demigods are offered to go on a quest. It's three demigods, and if they complete the quest then it counts as a grade for whatever classes they missed."

"How are they chosen?" He shrugged.

"Dunno, don't care. I'm not a demigod so it's not my problem."  I looked the kid over. He was normal looking enough, and he seemed like a guy who didn't care much about what other people thought.

"Then what are you?" The kid snorted, as the crowd began to disperse.

"Way to make it sound offensive." He said, chuckling to himself and walking away. Not knowing where to go, I followed him.

"Wait!! You didn't tell me what... what... Class you belong to!!" The boy turned to look at me, walking backwards.

"Didn't think it matter that much to you. But, in any case, I suggest you head to class and stop bugging me." He said, before turning on his heel and moving quickly through the crowd.

"Ignore him." I jumped.

"Tommy!!" Tommy smiled.

"Sorry. I had to see if my friend was okay."

"Was he one of the demigods from before?" Tommy shook his head.

"No, he was the satyr that was assigned to them. Anyway, I wouldn't mind Summers. He isn't pretty open to anyone whom isn't a mutant, and I heard he got into an argument with his brother again."

"About what?" Tommy shrugged.

"Something to do with the X-men. Now hurry up, you're gonna be late." Tommy quickly made his way through the crowd, and I tried my best to follow him. Eventually, however, I did find him waiting in front of a classroom, looking around hopefully for me.

"There you are. Now come on, you just barely made it." He said, pushing me into the classroom.

This one was different from Tech Lab classroom. This room seemed... quieter, a few more desks than that class, and it just seemed to have a history vibe to it.

"Hello. You must be Lexi. I am Professor Misako." I smiled at the women before me. She seemed nice enough.

"Hi Professor. Umm....where do I sit?" She smiled kindly, and pointed to a desk near the front of the room.

"You may sit there, next to Ms. Ayala." Walking down the steps, I sat down next to a black girl with brown hair, with hazel eyes, and a weird green glow coming from her waist. It was like...a badge or something.

"Hi." I said, trying to be friendly. She nodded, not looking up from her phone.

"Hi." Professor Misako walked to the front and smiled.

"Good Afternoon class."

"Good afternoon Professor Misako." The class chorused back.

"Today we will be continuing our work on the History of Hogwarts. Will anyone care to inform Ms. Mchammel on what Hogwarts is?" Almost instantly, four hands hands went up. One being next to me.

"Ms. Chase, thank you for volunteering." The blonde haired girl in the front of the class smiled.

"No problem Professor. Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardly is the school that the wizards and witches of this school went to before they came here. It was split into four groups called Houses, and the Houses were named after the founders."

"Correct Ms. Chase. And Mister Parker, would you like to add on to that?" A nerdy looking boy, with brown hair sent a smirk at Ms. Chase and looked back at Professor Misako.

"Yes actually. Anniebell forgot to mention that the four houses were called Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin. However, majority of the Slytherin house was sent to The Council's School for Wayward Children instead of coming to Hero High. Because that is the case, we have very little Slytherin's in this school."

"Thank Merlin!!" A kid yelled out. The class chuckled, while Professor Misako sighed.

"Mister Weasley, may I remind you that not all Slytherin's are bad. Historically speaking, just because all the sheep are black, doesn't mean one won't end up white." Cute saying... but what was The Council's School for Wayward Children?

"Sorry Professor. It's just that...most wizards going into Slytherin end up becoming Death Eaters!" Death Eaters!? Who eats death!?

"Key word being most Mister Weasley. Not all." The redhead sighed and looked down at his desk. The girl next to me snorted.

"Weasleys..." She muttered. I blinked. How many Weasleys were there?

"Now, class, as I was saying we will continue our lesson on the four houses, and how the Wizardly World may be connected to the Demigod world. Please pull out your history books and turn to page 349." Watching the other kids pull out their books, I raised my hand.

"Professor, I don't--." Professor Misako held a book out to me.

"Here. Borrow this until you can get your own." I nodded, taking the book and opening to the page.

Trying to be friendly, I turned to the girl next to me. I should probably make some friends that weren't Tommy.

"What class are you?" I asked. I didn't want to annoy her like I did the Summers boy earlier.

"Shh." She hissed, continuing to read. I waited for a few moments before speaking again.

"I'm a Demigod. I don't know who my parent is though. Are you a Demigod too?" This time, she glared at me.

"Shh!" Professor Misako looked up from her desk.

"Ms. Ayala, Ms. Mchammel, please refrain from talking."

"Great going, you got me in trouble. This is exactly why I don't sit next to Peter." She mumbled. Who was Peter?

"I'm sorry...I didn't mean too."

"Just, be quiet and do your work." Sighing, I turned back to the book. It seemed I was only able to make enemies than friends.

I resisted the urge to ask if there was a god for that. A god of enemies instead of friends, or a god that just made everyone hate them. I could've asked Ayala next to me, but I didn't want to make her angry.

Something told me she wouldn't care either way.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"So how was History?" Tommy asked. I shrugged.
"Okay I guess." Tommy frowned.
"What's wrong kid?"
"I don't think I fit in here." I stated, following Tommy to wherever he was leading me.
"Of course you do Lexi. And as soon as we find out who your Godly parent is, we can start signing you up for clubs and stuff, like Archery if your Dad's Lord Apollo, or maybe Chorus, which is also Apollo...or maybe we can get you--."
"Why is it taking so long?" I asked suddenly. Tommy paused.
"Excuse me?"
"Why is it taking so long? I mean, everyone else knows they're parent, why don't I?" Tommy sighed.
"Lexi, it doesn't work that why. Your Godly parent has to claim you, and the gods are very busy beings. It might take a while for us and you to figure who your parent is, but you'll have to be patient." What if I don't want to be patient? Can't we just summon them or something.
"Come on Lexi. Your next class should be--."
"Battle Strategy." I said. Tommy nodded, walking not down the stairs but down the hallway to the classroom.
"Last class of the day. For you at least. Then you get to meet you're roommates." Tommy said. I nodded numbly, and walked in.
When I was a kid, I got used to pushing my emotions down and putting on a mask, acting like I was happy when in reality I wished I wasn't there. It wasn't an easy habit, but I got used to it. Now, however, I wanted answers, and I really wanted to punch someone.
The class was empty, which meant somehow I was early. There wasn't even a teacher, which had me worried I was in the wrong classroom. Would Tommy lead me off course cause he was mad at me?
"Well well, we meet again." Turning around quickly, I saw the boy from earlier. Summers.
"I guess we do." Summers smirked and walked over to a desk and sat down. I followed him, and sat down next to him.
"I'm Lexi. You're Summers right?" I asked, trying to be friendly. Summers looked at me, and blinked, before bursting out laughing.
"You... actually think... my name... is Summers!?" My cheeks turned a bright red, as I looked away from him embarrassed.
"Oh dear lord!! I can't believe... wow.... Who names a boy Summers!?" He asked, as he continued to laugh.
"I thought...I was told..." The boy wiped a tear away, still chucking to himself.
"And I thought Bobby was weird." No. I've never hurt someone before. I've wanted too, but I always pushed the feeling away, blaming it on therapy and such.
However, now, I couldn't control the rage. I snapped, and before I knew it, my fist had collided with the side of his face.
"OW!! What the--." I punched him again and again, hoping I was breaking something, hoping he would stop smirking his smug little smirk. I used to him to vent out my rage, dimly aware of the crowd chanting behind me. However, before I could give him one final punch, I was thrown back, hitting some desks that now had students in them.
"That is enough, both of you!!" An elderly man, wearing what looked some sort of robe, stood between Summers (or whatever his name was; I didn't quite care at this point) and I.
"Mr. Summers explain this situation. Now." So his last name was Summers... I was close wasn't I? Kind of.....
"Sensei, Lexi the freak-a-zoid over there, started punching me for no reason!!" He yelled, holding his bleeding, and hopefully broken nose.
"You were being a dick!!" I snapped back. I had never felt this angry before....I felt like I could run through everyone in the school... perhaps this is what happens if you bottom up your rage.
"Enough!! Both of you will serve a detention tomorrow, here at five o'clock. Ms. Mchammel that is no good way to start off the school year, and Mister Summers I expected more from you. Your brother will be hearing about this." Mister Summers growled. Sibling hatred much.
"Sensei, this isn't fair!! This psycho chick attacked me!!"
"You started it you jerk!!" The man glared at us.
"If you both do not stop this at once, it will be a two day detention!!" I growled, gritting my teeth. I didn't know who this guy was and already I wanted to punch him. Who did he think he was!?
A chorused of hushed whispers ran out from the class. They all seemed to be looking at me, which pissed me off.
"What are you looking at!?" I snapped. I wasn't some freak to be gawked at.
"Well, that explains the sudden anger issues. I was told by Misako you were a very nice student." Teacher dude (didn't Summers call him Sensei?) said. I frowned.
"What the hell is everyone talking about!?"
"Actually, for you it would be Pluto. Everyone, meet Lexi Mchammel. Daughter of the Roman war God, Mars." I was the daughter of Mars? A war God!?
"That explains the punch." Summers mumbled under his breath. Sensei sighed.
"Mister Cassidy, please bring Mister Summers to the hospital wing. And Lexi, please head to the guidance counselor to inform him of your parentage." Nodding, I walked quickly out the door.
I was Lexi. Daughter of Mars, the Roman God of War.
I, was apart of the Demigod Class. The Camp Jupiter half.
And on the first day I punched a guy and earned myself a detention.
Congrats Lexi.
____________________________________________________________________
I think this is the longest chapter I have ever written. Like, ever.
Anyway, I thought this would be a fun little chapter to do, and hopefully I was right. Hopefully.
Next chapter will either be a short or continuing on with the Second Event, which is a nice little Quidditch Game.... not really. But for all you people who love Hazel, it will contain Hazel, which is either a good thing or a bad thing, depending on how long you've read my books and how you look at it :/.
Good bye then, and please enjoy your stay a hotel Wattpad. Where people will free time go, even if they don't really have free time. ^-^
