Greetings Younglings,

We are back with our second representative for YARomance's School Council, and this time we had the chance to talk with Adairx. Her stories featured on many amb-managed profiles such as YA, StoriesUndiscovered, Romance, GeneralFiction, Humor and also Wattys 2021 Shortlisted! Her stories are mainly focused on falling in love with yourself then with someone else.

For the second Book Of The Month, we chose Training To Be A Jackass - a complete YA School Romance story having the topic of unrealistic attractiveness standards for men, while adding a comedic twist to the makeover trope!

About the author: Hi! I am Adair Night, a 20-year-old engineering student and an aspiring writer. Young adult and contemporary romance are my favourite genres to write.

1. What made you start writing on Wattpad?

I always had many story ideas in my mind. When I joined Wattpad, I saw others share their works for scrutiny with people they didn't even know. It motivated me to do the same. 

2. What is your advice for new writers who want to try writing young adults with romance concepts in their stories?

Emotions are the driving force of both romance and teenagers. So, I believe that focusing on how the protagonists feel helps writing more well-rounded characters. 

3. Which type of young adult or romance concept that intrigues you the most?

While I enjoy a good enemy to lovers story, the stories that start with heartbreak intrigue me the most. The transition from past lovers to nobodies to lovers again seems beautiful to me. 

4. Can you share your favorite movies or TV shows?

My all-time favorite movie is Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, an Indian movie. And the show I currently like is Shadow and Bone.

5. Any hobbies besides writing?

I love bullet journalling. My favorite bullet journalists are Amanda Rach Lee and Alma Ali.
