Jin swallowed the lump in his throat as he stood in front of the library. His knees felt like they were trembling and the book in his hand was slipping from his sweaty hands.
He had thought about doing this for months. The summer days were now fall and cool. Four months and had finally gotten the courage to do it. He had written Namjoon a note more like an apology letter.
A letter he hoped Namjoon would read and understand why he did the things he did. Maybe he wouldn't even open it but he hoped he did.
The people walked by him to enter the library and he couldn't bring himself to move. He was frozen in fear.
What if Namjoon recognized him again? The last time he'd seen him was out in town and though he was in Chan's body he was still recognized.
Jin felt like he had a screen on his chest. One that revealed who he was and the only one who could see it was Namjoon.
After staying there for five minutes, he decided to move. Inside the book was the letter he had written. His plan was to sneak into the library and somehow place the book on Namjoon's desk.
He decided to walk in with a group of people to blend in. Today he was in Chaeyoung's body. Once he saw Namjoon standing behind his desk writing something down he freaked out and stepped back.
He was so focused on Namjoon that he didn't even notice that the guy behind him. They bumped into each other and the man stopped his very heavy book on Jin's foot.
"Oh I'm so sorry!" He screamed horrified.
Jin quickly apologized, "No! It's okay. It's my fault." He whispered.
"I'm sorry that must've hurt! I—"
"It's okay. It's truly okay." He murmured, turning his head towards Namjoon who was starting to look up.
Before the man could keep apologizing, Jin rushed to hide. He hid behind a bookshelf and waited for Namjoon's attention to drift back to his paperwork.
Jin admired him from a distance. Namjoon was perfect from head to toe. He smiled as he watched him lightly bite his lip and focus on whatever he was writing.
Then the sadness hit him like a ton of bricks. He would give it all up to talk and hug him once more. To hear his laugh and see his pretty smile.
Before Jin got sentimental, he found his chance to quickly rush to drop off the book. As he was two feet away he panicked and quickly slid the book across the table.
It bumped into Namjoon's hand, messing up his writing. He looked up slightly aggravated at whoever threw the book but only saw a small woman fleeing from the library.
He looked back down at the book which had opened up. There was a folded note in white paper with the words "for Namjoon" messily written on it.
The sudden aggravation was slowly replaced with curiosity. So he slowly picked up the note and opened it up.
Wanting to know what was written on it.

"Do you like it?" Yoongi asked as Jimin opened up the box.
Jimin squealed and he was glad they were the only ones in the room. Yoongi had insisted on going away for a weekend to celebrate his special day.
Of course Taehyung and Hoseok had both come along but they gave them privacy. Jimin enjoyed exploring a different place that wasn't his little town.
"I love it! It's yellow!" He said through a big smile.
Yoongi couldn't help but smile back at him. Jimin immediately took off his shirt and put on the yellow knitted sweater.
"It's so beautiful. It's my favorite shade of yellow."
"There's a difference?" Yoongi asked. He wasn't much of a color person. Black was his favorite color not only because it was the nation's color, but because he had found comfort in it after losing his father.
It felt wrong to wear any other color and see everything pretty when he was so blue inside. Now that Jimin was in his life he had started to notice the prettiness the world had to offer.
It was ironic that one human being could change it all.
"Of course there is. There's light yellow, yellow, bright yellow, lemon yellow, dark yellow—" Jimin stopped babbling once he realized Yoongi was staring right at him.
His face slightly blushed, "In conclusion there's a lot of yellows."
"So which shade is this?" He asked, pointing to the sweater.
"It's daffodil yellow."
"Like your favorite flower. That makes sense."
"Have you ever liked any other color besides black?"
Yoongi nodded his head, "When I was younger I found white interesting."
"White?" Jimin asked, raising his eyebrows.
"Yeah. I didn't have a variety of colors to look at."
"Neither did I, but I remember the first time I saw yellow. At the orphanage there weren't many flowers. One day when Jungkook and I were playing outside, we ran towards the fence. Through it I could see the daffodils in the distance. I loved it then and it's been my favorite since."
As Yoongi looked at Jimin wrapped in the yellow sweater he understood the way he had felt seeing those daffodils for the first time. It was exactly what he felt at the moment looking at him.
"I've never been a lover of colors but I think I like yellow."
Jimin grinned, "Good to know."
"Are you going to open the envelope?"
Jimin nodded, "I was waiting to do it. I'm sure Jungkook wanted me to open it up today."
"How do you know that?"
"I just do."
He carefully opened the envelope. It was a postcard of where he was and a handwritten letter. His smile kept getting bigger and bigger as he read through it.
Then suddenly a few tears spilled from his eyes. He missed Jungkook more than words could describe. He'd only been gone a few months but it felt like an eternity.
Not being with Jungkook for his birthday and him not being here for him was bittersweet. Though they kept in contact regularly through letters he still missed him a lot.
"He says he's planning on exploring more places in Europe. He wished me a happy birthday and said he can't wait to see me again. He almost mentioned that he's still writing to Taehyung."
"Hmm. I suppose they became good friends."
"I suppose they did." He said as he folded the letter and put it back in the envelope. He had a collection of the letters Jungkook had sent him which he treasured immensely.
Yoongi reached over to wipe his tears, "I know you miss him."
"I do." He murmured leaning closer towards his hand.
"Let's eat some cake, yeah?"
"Sure."
Yoongi had bought a beautiful small cake only big enough for them two. He carefully served Jimin the pretty slice and handed him a fork.
The place where they were staying had an open balcony. So they sat outside under the starry night eating cake. It was a chilly night, but Jimin didn't mind it. Being here with Yoongi and reading Jungkook's letter had warmed him up inside.
"Yoongi?"
"Yes?"
"I'm older than you now."
"That's not true. I have you beat by over a hundred years." He chuckled.
"Technically you're frozen in time so I am older. I'm twenty now."
"What's the problem in that?"
Jimin continued to eat without looking up at him, "Will you keep me human the whole time?"
"Do you want to be human forever?"
He looked up unsure of how to respond. He had always craved immortality because his life as a human had been miserable. He thought immortality would get him happiness.
But now things were different. He had found happiness as a human. Did he really need immortality now?
"I'm not sure anymore."
"You don't have to make a decision now. You don't have to be immortal."
"But will you still love me? I will age, I will lose my youth. Will you still love me then?"
Yoongi got up from the chair. He walked towards Jimin and grabbed his plate, setting it down. Then he took his hand pulling him up.
"I will love you until the end of my time. No matter what."
He began kissing him slowly and gently as he wrapped his arms around his waist. He started walking towards the bedroom stumbling against Jimin's feet, but never breaking the kiss.
Carefully he laid him in bed and finally pulled away to allow Jimin to catch his breath. He caressed his face admiring his blushed pink face and timid look.
"Forever and always. Happy birthday Jimin." He said leaning in for another kiss.
