"Am I not matching again?" Taehyung asked.
Jungkook quickly looked down and proceeded to cross the flower stems over each other. Taehyung had asked him to teach him how to make a flower crown.
He was a natural to say the least. Jungkook had barely taught him and he had caught on pretty decently making it beautiful.
"Uhh, no it's not that." He murmured embarrassed. Being alone with Taehyung flustered him and many ways he could not explain.
It had to be what Vernon said about him and he wished he would've never said anything to begin with. Taehyung continued to cross the flower stems carefully and precisely beautifully.
"Oh so I am matching?" He asked without looking up.
"No. You aren't." He murmured embarrassed.
Taehyung nodded, "I figured."
"I could help you dress, you know. If you want to match."
"Really? You'd do that for me?"
"Yeah. It's really no big deal. All I would do is tell you what colors match. It's truly no big deal." He repeated hoping Taehyung wouldn't get the wrong impression.
"I'm not making it a big deal, but it looks like you are."
Jungkook was slightly relieved that Taehyung hadn't looked up once. He was too concentrated on the flower crown to personally look up. It's not because he couldn't, but because he didn't want to fluster him anymore.
"Okay. You're right. I am done with mine by the way." Jungkook said, setting the completed crown down.
"I am finishing mine." Taehyung announced.
"Why're you doing it so slow? You've got good technique. You could've been done a long time ago."
"Do you know what happens when I move too fast?"
"Uhh...no. What—what happens?"
"I get clumsy and use too much strength. The flowers would disintegrate in my hands. I didn't want to ruin them." He said finally showing his final product.
It consisted of anemones and lily's. All different shapes and sizes but somehow blended well together. It was different but pretty.
"That's beautiful." Jungkook said.
"Oh wow! A flower crown for me?" Hoseok asked, suddenly walking in.
"They're not for you." Taehyung declared.
"Jungkook, right?"
"Y—yes sir."
"Sir? Would you look at that? You're so polite." He smiled leaning closer.
Taehyung cleared his throat and Hoseok then brought his attention back to him. "I see you're back from your trip."
"Yes. I just got back. I don't know why the king keeps sending me away. Sometimes I feel like he doesn't want me near his husband." Hoseok smirked.
"I wonder why." Taehyung said.
Hoseok laughed, "Ahh me too. So, can I have this?" He teased picking up Jungkook's crown. Before he could place it on his head, Taehyung grabbed his arm.
At times Jungkook forgot that Taehyung was immortal because he didn't act like one. He was clumsy, quiet, and not eccentric like Hoseok. But at this very moment, there was no doubt that he was strong.
Hoseok sighed, "Geez. Such a party pooper. Fine, fine, I will let you two be." He said, handing the crown to Taehyung.
There was silence for a few minutes until Taehyung spoke up again. "Here's your crown. I hope he didn't scare you. He's not mean, just a bit intimidating."
Jungkook nodded, "Thank you. I'm okay."
"What flower is yours made out of?"
"Red Gerbera daisies."
"Red?" He asked.
Jungkook timidly nodded, "Yeah. I, uhh, I actually made it for you. Nothing weird okay?" He shrieked a little mortified.
Taehyung smiled, "Oh. That's not weird. Not unless you make it weird."
"Well, I am not." He said with a blushed face. He was deeply embarrassed of his body reacting in such ways.
"Thank you. I guess you can keep mine." Taehyung said, handing him the flower crown he'd created.
"Thanks." Jungkook murmured as they traded.
"Why were you avoiding me at the Christmas dinner?" Taehyung randomly asked.
"Huh? Me? No. I—I was not." Jungkook assumed he'd forgotten about it. The dinner had been almost two weeks ago and he didn't think he'd made it as obvious, but he had.
"Every time I tried to come near you, you'd disappear. Did I do something wrong? Have I frightened you?"
Jungkook suddenly felt bad for avoiding him. Despite being immortal, he had proven that he was not a psycho killer. Taehyung was oddly sweet and shy to be one.
"I'm sorry. You did nothing wrong. I was avoiding you because of something Vernon said."
"Did he do something?" He asked going into panic mode.
"Not precisely. He told me about his gift."
"Oh."
"Yeah, I mean it's kind of like the king's gift right? So he is that powerful too?"
"No Vernon's gift is different. He can only see your love life and many versions of your past life. The king can only see your past from your current life and he can see everything. Not just your love life."
"Oh I see."
"What exactly did Vernon tell you?"
Jungkook's face never stopped being red, "He said you were in my past lives too."
Taehyung's eyes widened a bit, "Ahh. He said that? You can't trust what he says. He plays a little too much."
"He said he could show me."
"Did you see?" He wondered.
Jungkook quickly shook his head no, "No."
"What did he say I was? Your enemy or something?"
"Yes. Along with friend and lover."
"Lover?" He whispered so quickly and low that Jungkook couldn't understand.
"I mean that's ridiculous right? He was probably playing. I don't think you and I—"
Taehyung took his hand and held it. Jungkook inhaled sharply and his heart started racing. Everything seemed to slow down for a bit and the silence suddenly felt heavy.
"You're right it feels ridiculous." Taehyung said, but he didn't let go.
"Super ridiculous." Jungkook murmured. "My heart is racing because you caught me by surprise not because I—"
"I know."
They remained in silence for a few more seconds until Taehyung finally pulled away. Jungkook's hand was extremely sweaty and he was mortified that he'd got it all over him.
"Should we continue to make more?"
Jungkook cleared his throat, "Yes. Sure."
They continued to make flower crowns, but only this time Taehyung was the one that couldn't keep his eyes off Jungkook.

Jimin sighed as he pushed away his second dinner plate. Jungkook had already had dinner with him a few hours back, but he was so bored all he could think of was to eat again.
"Can I get you anything else sir?" An employee asked picking up the empty plate on the table.
"No thank you."
After the employee excused himself, he was left alone letting his mind spiral. The clock read ten fifteen. He knew eating so late would keep him up at night so he was already dreading that.
Jimin hadn't realized how much had gotten attached to Yoongi because these two weeks felt like they had blended into one.
During the day, he could hang out with Jungkook and get distracted. But because he was the king's husband he was forced to stay in their bedroom and couldn't stay with Jungkook.
It was probably for the best because he'd only keep him up at night. He hadn't told Jungkook about the kisses he'd shared with Yoongi that night.
A part of him knew that Jungkook would be upset. This was a change of plans. A plan that they had both made since being kids.
The sole purpose of marrying Yoongi was to obtain immortality. Now, not only had he made no progress in obtaining his goal but he was also in love. That would only complicate things.
Jimin sighed, rubbing his temples. He got up from the chair and proceeded to walk towards the patio. It was a dark cold night. The harsh air crashed on his face unforgivingly.
Even with his thick jacket and thick shoes, Jimin was shivering uncontrollably. The cold air was making him forget about his current issue. That issue was falling in love with Yoongi.
It didn't last long, the cold snowy air wasn't enough to block away Yoongi for that long. He slowly took his hand out of his pocket and brushed his fingers against his lips.
He smiled remembering that wonderful night. Nothing serious had happened besides the heavy kissing, but that was a lot of progress for Jimin.
Not to mention that Yoongi no longer saw him as a food source. Yoongi actually liked his company and that made his emotions for him deepen.
"Are you looking for something your majesty?"
A deep voice startled Jimin. He quickly removed his hand from his lips and stuck it back in his jacket. He could only imagine how odd he looked smiling at the ground while touching his lips.
When he turned around, he saw Vernon standing a few feet behind him. He stood firmly in place. His posture was far too good. It hurt Jimin's joints just by looking at him.
"No. I am okay. I'm just taking a walk."
"Very well. Be careful with the snow. You don't want to slip."
Jimin watched him walk back towards the castle, but just then the intrusive thought came to mind. Since the day Jungkook had told him about Vernon's ability, he had been thinking about it.
Obsessing about it.
Something deep within him wanted to know if Yoongi had been in any of his past lives. He had to be because what he felt for Yoongi was unexplainable. It was a connection far too strong to feel in such a little amount of time.
"Vernon, wait." Jimin's voice wasn't loud. In fact, it had come out like a whisper and yet he heard. He immediately froze and waited for him to continue.
"Can you come here please?"
Before Jimin could finish his sentence, Vernon was already in front of him. His palms started getting sweaty in his pockets as he thought of how to proceed.
"What can I do for you, your majesty?" He obediently asked.
Jimin swallowed a gulp of nervousness, "I want you to use your ability to tell me if Yoongi has been in any of my past lives."
Vernon stayed quiet, before Jimin had even arrived to the castle he was warned by the king to not speak to Jimin about it. He regretted telling Jungkook about his power because now Jimin was curious.
"I'm sorry your majesty but I cannot use my ability on you." He slightly bowed out of respect. However, Jimin wasn't going to take no for an answer.
"Why's that? The king's orders?"
He nodded his head still not looking him in the eye. Jimin crossed his hands over his chest and cleared his throat once again.
"I am a king too, you know? You have to do as I say. All I am asking is a question."
Vernon continued to stay silent until he looked up at Jimin. He seemed irritated and he didn't know what was worse. To be scolded for answering a question or punished for making him upset.
"Yes."
"Yes what?"
"Yes, the king has been in your past lives. May I leave now?"
Jimin's lips slightly parted. He hadn't expected to hear that and it was safe to say he wasn't content with just hearing about it.
"Not yet. I want you to show me."
Vernon shook his head, "I am sorry your highness. I cannot do that."
"Show me."
"I can't—"
"I want you to show me! What can the king possibly do? It's my order. I am at fault and I will not let you get punished. Please."
Although he had tried to make his voice sound as authoritative as possible, the word 'please' escaped his lips before he could think of it. Yoongi's employee's were loyal to him and even though he had authority he didn't have enough.
"It will not be pleasant. Most love stories aren't."
"I can take it."
Vernon nodded. He wasn't sure if he was doing the right thing, but he still did it. Slowly, he extended his hand and placed two of his fingers against Jimin's forehead.
Jimin closed his eyes thinking it was going to hurt but it didn't. At first he didn't feel a thing aside from Vernon's cold fingertips but suddenly there they were.
He was amused as a ton of unknown memories flooded his mind. He smiled cheekily at some of them, but then they weren't so nice.
Jimin wanted to step back and not see what he was seeing, but his body was frozen. The memories kept coming and they were cold and harsh. Much harsher than the icy cold wind.
His eyes started spilling tears that he could not control. The heaviness in his chest and heart were far too heavy for his fragile heart. Though these memories had nothing to do with his current life he could feel it all.
All the pain, all the sorrow, and all the excruciating details. His breathing was hectic and he wanted to tell Vernon to stop. He didn't want to see anymore. He didn't want to feel it.
Finally, Vernon took his fingers off his forehead and Jimin reopened his eyes. His eyesight was blurry from the fat tears that kept escaping his delicate eyes.
"May I go now?" Vernon asked.
Jimin nodded his head as he quietly wept. Suffering for a version of himself he didn't even know. Vernon bowed and started walking towards the castle again. He stopped briefly as he heard Jimin's weeping getting louder.
"Your highness, I told you not everything was going to be pleasant."
Finally, Jimin understood why Yoongi had prohibited this. It was just too cruel.
