33.
"You can't stay with me?" Jimin asked as he sat on the bed.
His feet were extremely achy from all the walking around. It was three in the morning and the guests were still partying.
It was quite obvious they wouldn't leave any time soon. They were immortal and didn't need sleep, but unfortunately Jimin did.
After their little magical dancing moment, they went back inside and socialized with the rest before things got suspicious.
Jimin wanted to tell Yoongi to stay out there with him, but he knew that wasn't possible. If they didn't go back inside, Taehyung and Hoseok would only go out to look for them.
Jungkook was the first to give up and leave the party. He insisted in Jimin coming with him, but as the king's husband he couldn't leave.
But when the clock hit three am, Jimin didn't know what to do with himself. His eyes felt heavy and his body was exhausted. If he stayed two seconds without moving he'd fall asleep.
That's when Yoongi had to take him to bed even though Jimin opposed. It was useless for him to deny that he wasn't tired, it was quite obvious.
"I really have to say goodbye to our guests."
"It's three in the morning. I don't think they're leaving anytime soon."
Yoongi sighed, "From the looks of it you're right."
Jimin quickly got out of bed, "Then let me come with you! I can pull an all-nighter. I've done it before. I'm not even tired." He smiled trying to be convincing.
He really didn't want Yoongi to go back to the party by himself. Jeongyeon would be there and though she hadn't done anything wrong, Jimin was still jealous and insecure.
They had a true bond before he was even part of the picture. Even as humans they loved each other and were destined to be married. Although Yoongi had been the one to put distance between them, over a century had gone by.
Yoongi still mourned his father but his resentment towards her was gone. What if seeing her tonight awoken those feelings that he once had?
Jimin couldn't possibly compete with that. Yoongi had only married him for conviene and the bond he had with Jeongyeon was real and it happened naturally. Theirs was forced.
"I don't think so brat. You need sleep."
"I swear I'm fine! I—I don't need to—"
Yoongi pressed his finger against his lip. "Jimin, you need sleep."
He smiled defeatedly sitting back down on the soft bed. It felt bigger than usual and it was probably because he'd be alone the rest of the night. Not to mention Yoongi would leave on his trip after that.
When Yoongi kneeled down, Jimin snapped out of his thoughts. He immediately panicked, "Your majesty! Please get off the floor! What are you doing?"
"I'm taking off your shoes. You're too tired."
Jimin shook his head no, "No. I cannot allow you to—"
"I am the king. I do what I please."
Jimin quieted down and looked at his lap. Yoongi sighed quickly regretting sounding so snappy. "That's not what I meant. I just want to do this for you."
He timidly nodded once he heard Yoongi's voice return to normal. He watched as this man carefully untied his shoes and slid them off him like he was fragile. Precious and valuable.
Jimin's legs got goosebumps at the cold breeze hitting them. He was embarrassed that Yoongi was so close to his feet and he hoped they weren't sweaty or smelled weird.
When he was done removing them both, he slowly looked up towards Jimin. Quickly mesmerized by his thighs. Though he was still dressed in his suit, he looked undressable.
"Do you really have to go?" Jimin asked.
Yoongi gulped down the thick emotion that he felt within. After spending the night with Jimin and even slow dancing in the dark, his mind was a jumbled mess. He wanted more.
"I have to go."
Jimin exhaled loudly and laid back in bed with his arms extended out. He looked at the ceiling because that was better than looking at Yoongi kneeled on the floor in front of him.
"Yes, I know."
"That does not mean I want to though." Yoongi said.
Jimin felt his heart erratically beat inside his chest. He quickly sat up and got up from the bed. Yoongi was already up and looking right at him.
They stayed in silence for a few seconds until Jimin noticed how Yoongi's eyes were still a pretty golden honey color. He waited and waited for them to turn bright red and yet they never did. He assumed that's why he wanted to stay behind. To feed on him.
He didn't know why but this brought a deep fear within him. Yoongi hadn't fed on him for weeks so by now he should've been a hungry mess. This meant that Yoongi no longer desired his blood or that he'd found someone else to feed on even though he'd been claimed.
"Do you want to feed on me?" He blurted out loud.
Yoongi furrowed his eyebrows confused. He thought his intentions were pretty clear, but apparently not. He shook his head.
"No Jimin. I do not wish to feed on you."
The look on Jimin's face was devastating. He had this blue aura surrounding him that was strong. Did this mean that Jimin wanted him to feed on?
Jimin grabbed Yoongi's hand and pressed it against his neck. Yoongi was even more puzzled by this action and somehow it was making Jimin more upset.
"Why do you not want me anymore? Have you found someone else's blood to feed on now?"
"What? No. I've claimed you and therefore I cannot feed on anyone else. If I try to, the blood would burn my throat until I throw it up. You know this."
"Well, I didn't know if the rules applied to the king. Why don't you want to then? Why else would you stay behind?"
Next thing he knew, Yoongi grabbed his waist and slowly pulled him towards the bed. He was hovering over him inches away from his face. Although his body was on top of Jimin's, he wasn't overly pressed on him. Yoongi wasn't trying to put his whole weight on him.
"Can't I just stay behind to be with you?"
"I don't understand. You don't want me anymore. Why not?" He whispered with a knot on his throat. Although this contact was nice it was also worrisome.
Knowing that Yoongi didn't physically crave him was so upsetting. It felt like Yoongi's attention was slipping through his hands like quicksand.
"I don't know why, but I do not crave your blood anymore. The desire to have it has diminished over the weeks. I feel like the last few times I had to force myself to do it. I couldn't understand how all of the sudden your blood was not something I craved when I wanted it for so long."
"Then what are you craving?" Jimin whispered.
"Your touch." Yoongi whispered back.
Everything was so quiet for a few minutes. They were simply looking into each other's eyes trying to analyze what the other was thinking. Until finally Jimin took the initiative and puckered his lips up pressing them against Yoongi's.
His face was a fiery red as soon as they touched one another. Jimin was waiting for the rejection and for Yoongi to push away, but he didn't.
Instead, he kissed back in such a gentle way that it made Jimin's stomach erupt with butterflies. The kiss felt so natural, so beautiful, and so, so, fulfilling.
It felt like it was meant to be. Like this was destined and written to be their first shared kiss. They kissed for a while until Yoongi heard Jimin struggling to catch his breath.
When he pulled away he looked down at Jimin's flustered face. He could hear his nervous heartbeat rise as he kept staring.
"I hope that was okay. I should've asked before kissing you." Jimin finally said.
"That was fine." Yoongi responded.
Jimin felt overwhelmed by the sensations in his body that when the blood started gushing down his nose he wasn't surprised. Only deeply embarrassed.
Yoongi quickly got off him and rushed to get a tissue. Jimin was already pinching his nose and tilting his head forward. The blood ran down his hands into Nayeon's beautiful creation.
"Here's some tissues." He said, handing it to him.
Jimin took them and waited until he felt the warm blood stop gushing. He let go slowly hoping it wouldn't come back and it didn't.
When he looked for Yoongi he saw that he wasn't beside him anymore. He heard the sink and then seconds later there he was with a wet washcloth wiping his bloody hand.
The smell of iron made Jimin's stomach queasy. He looked at Yoongi seeking for his eyes to turn that familiar bright red, but he remained cool and composed.
Maybe it was true and he didn't want his blood anymore. Only his company. Jimin felt happy within and he couldn't help but smile.
"Why are you smiling?" He asked without looking up.
Jimin quickly got serious and cleared his throat, "Uhhh. Nothing."
Yoongi was done with his hands and he moved on to his face. He carefully wiped the dried blood on his upper lip until he was clean again.
Jimin's heart rate didn't slow down, "Yoongi. Can you kiss me again?" He asked flustered. "I want you to kiss me slowly so that it lasts a long time."
He leaned against the bed and pressed his lips on Jimin's once again. He kissed him slow and gentle like instructed.
Yoongi had no rush after all.
