"No. I'm not Vernon." He said walking over to Jimin who immediately got up to bow.
Yoongi smirked, assuming that he had recognized his voice, but when Jimin immediately straightened back up and sat down he was caught off guard.
Jimin was trying to ignore the fact that this immortal was handsome. If he seemed too intimidated he'd know for sure. He was very attractive and the suit definitely fit his style. His hair was a mesh of caramel dirty blonde and a mixture of both curly and straight hair.
As much as he tried to recall if he'd seen him before he couldn't. Although he swore he seemed familiar from somewhere. Then again, if he'd met him before he wouldn't forget his gorgeous face.
"Right, I forget that there's a million vampires here. Did they send you to watch me? I am really not trying to escape. I would be dumb to try to escape. I mean, I get a room all to myself and free food! I could not be happier. Aside from being locked away in my room like a prisoner. Although, it's a pretty lavish prison so I can't complain."
Yoongi watched as the human kept unraveling himself. He was a blabber for sure. All he said was four words and that was enough to get him started.
"Are you going to just stand there? You can sit down, you know? I don't want you to stand there like a statue. I guess I could use the company. Vernon is not a talker and when he does talk he sounds like he's in pain. I mean you don't talk much either, but you're a different face so I am okay with it. Are you mute? Wait, that was a dumb question you spoke to me while ago so of course you're not mute. Gosh, I am going insane! Not talking Jungkook has really put a toll on me."
Yoongi tilted his head to the side as he sat next to him. This was the human that Taehyung claimed to be manipulative and dangerous? He seemed pretty normal and safe, but when he turned to look at him it impacted him.
Jimin's face was flushed red from the sun exposure. There were sweat particles on his cheeks and around his nose. His lips were pink and plump.
The innocence on his face was both mischievous and alarming. Then a smile painted his lips turning him into a completely different person. He was confident, knowing he looked damn good smiling.
So this is what Taehyung meant by saying he was dangerous.
"You know what? You probably are mute. I'm probably hearing shit at this point." He laughed.
Yoongi snapped back to reality remembering who the fuck he was. He was the king of Caaia and the most powerful hybrid in the world. A mere human could not make him feel so intimidated.
"I'm not mute. I just haven't had the chance to respond to you considering you're a talker."
Jimin chuckled embarrassed, "I know. I can't ever shut up. This is why I need Jungkook here. So I can vent to him."
"Is Jungkook your boyfriend?" He asked suddenly, wondering why he was so obsessed with him.
It's not like he cared, he wasn't marrying Jimin out of love. It was mainly to fulfill his promise to his dead father. Of course he had been a little selective with his choice. The main thing was that Jimin's scent was obsessive.
"My boyfriend? Oh no! No way. He's my brother."
"Brother?" He questioned. If he recalled correctly, the report Taehyung did of him strictly said that he was an orphan with no family.
"Yes. We have different moms but we're half brothers. We grew up in an orphanage downtown. Our moms died when we were young and our dad was absent so that's why we grew up in the orphanage."
"Oh okay and here I thought he was your boyfriend."
"No way. I can't have a boyfriend either way. I am marrying the king—oh." He quickly covered his mouth.
Yoongi smirked, "Don't worry. We all know here. It's not a secret."
"Oh wow. I assumed that it would be considering I'm a prisoner and all."
"You know, if you do not wish to marry the king you do not have to. It's optional really." He calmly said. If Jimin did not recall he was the king he'd pretend a little longer. It was fun to get information from him.
Yoongi waited for Jimin to agree with him, but instead he raised his eyebrows extremely perplexed at his words.
"Are you kidding me? I want to marry the king. That is a privilege."
"Huh. Privilege?"
"Yes. I just wish I knew him."
Yoongi smirked, "I heard he's fake and that he's dead."
"I've heard that too, but I don't think he's dead. My brother thinks he has three arms. I say he has three legs. Maybe he's this mutant—" Jimin quieted down once he realized that he was speaking to one of his employees. What if he went to tell him?
"No, no, go on. I wont tell. I'm not a snitch." He encouraged since he wanted to know what Jimin thought of him. He wished he had the ability to read his mind.
"I'd rather not. I do have a theory though."
"Yeah?"
"That the king is actually the long haired dude." He whispered quietly.
"Taehyung?"
"Yes. I think he has the ability to shape shift. So in reality I've already met the king. It shouldn't be a big deal. I can literally ask him to be whoever I want so that's super cool. I'm right, aren't I?" Jimin asked, confident in himself.
Yoongi whispered back, "I hate to break it to you, but Taehyung is not the king."
"Darn. Do you see him often? The king I mean?"
"Yeah. I see him everyday."
"What's he like?"
"He's so mean. So fucking mean."
"Really?" He asked with wide eyes.
"Oh yeah. You can't even look him in the eye because he doesn't allow it. It gives you a sore neck and shit."
"Right! I thought that was weird. My neck still fucking hurts. He is pretty mean now that I think about it." He said, shaking his head. Both his back and neck were still hurting from having to excessively bow to the king.
"Mhmm super fucking mean. He's very hot though."
Jimin raised his eyebrow, "Hot? I don't know. If he really is so hot then why didn't he let me see his face?"
"Maybe he's shy."
Jimin scoffed, "Shy? Yeah right."
Yoongi nodded, "You're right. He's everything but shy. Tell me, are you nervous about meeting him?" He rested his face on his hands as he analyzed Jimin's expressions.
Despite being so transparent with his emotions, he was sometimes hard to read. At the moment he had a hard expression to decipher. Jimin reached over to grab a dandelion.
He looked at it for a few seconds trying to figure out how to respond to this man's question. After all, he was a stranger and even though he was nice and everything he hadn't forgotten that there was a castle full of immortals listening to everything.
What if the king was listening too? What if this was a trap to get him to confess something that he would regret?
"It should fit." Yoongi murmured as he analyzed his fingers.
"Excuse me?"
"Can I see that?" Yoongi asked, completely ignoring his previous question.
"Huh?" His brain then processed that he was talking about the dandelion. "Oh this?" He wondered handing it to him.
Yoongi reached for it and slightly brushed his hand across Jimin's trying to get a glimpse of this man's life. It was only for a split second, but he managed to get some of the answers to the questions he had.
Jimin felt a weird chill down his neck and all the way down to his toes. Out of instinct, he pulled away from his touch unable to describe the sensation that touching him had provoked.
Yoongi blew the dandelion and it disintegrated within seconds. Jimin paid attention to the pieces of the flower escaping in the distance and he finally put together what he wanted to say.
"I am scared to meet him." He admitted quietly. Without realizing he had brought up his finger to his mouth biting the side of his nail.
"How so?" Yoongi asked, turning to look at him. He was still looking ahead while nibbling on the side of a hangnail.
"What if he doesn't like me?" He questioned. The thought made him more nervous to the point he pulled on his hangnail too hard making him bleed.
Jimin didn't notice the drop of blood falling on the grass, but Yoongi did. It was small, small enough for the human eye to miss it or hear it.
"Ouch. I guess I bit too hard." He laughed once he felt the stinging sensation.
Yoongi's eyes turned a bright red and he avoided eye contact. As much as he held his breath to not breathe in his scent, it was still lingering in his mind.
He had managed to control his thirst because he was so intrigued with figuring Jimin out that he had ignored his smell all along.
Jimin was so invested in applying pressure to his finger that he didn't even feel Yoongi get up from the sitting position. A dark shadow hovered over him and that's when he looked up.
"I'm sure the new king will like you just fine."
"How-how would you know that?" He stuttered. Jimin had seen bright red eyes before, but it still made him nervous. Not to mention the smile on this man's face was wicked.
Yoongi slowly kneeled over to him until their faces were centimeters away. He could smell his warm breath and hear the sound of his heart pulsating anxiously.
"Because I am your king."
