Week 10
Howdy All!
In honor of NaNoWrimo 2017, I thought I'd publish a new set of prompts since I won't be publishing the next installment of The Otherworlders until next week.
Now, I want to get this out quickly before the weekend comes to an end, so if there's any repetition with earlier prompts, just let me know in the comments and I'll replace it with a new one. Ready? Okay, let's go!
And remember, the idea is not to be rigid about this process, but give your mind a "hook" or a "springboard" to use to get back into the scene or to move a scene forward. Don't be afraid to modify them, play with them, use one or use them all!
Here are this week's prompts. If you're stuck in a scene, why don't you have a character:
1. Offer a contrasting point of view in an argument
2. Be inspired to action by a memory
3. Pay the price for being sloppy in their approach
4. Sense or perceive a trap (this can be physical, emotional or psychological)
5. Accuse someone of wrongdoing
6. Show someone mercy
7. Put someone else up on a pedestal
8. Lie to avoid a confrontation
9. Tell an extravagant tale or exaggerate the recounting of an event
10. Realize that the person that they're talking to is lying to them
