Quick backstory: Artyom grew up in a rural village in western Russian, near Volgograd. He had been raised from a young age in the belief that he'd join the army. He did well in school, but it was hard to stay motivated when you knew you were gonna spend most of your twenties with a rifle in hand.

Artyom was deployed to Syria in 2016, after he had been in Crimea for 2 years. In Syria, he excelled in combat and was chosen to join Bodark, and elite Russian special forces unit. There, he was given not only some of the best military training in the world, but he was given access to some of the most advanced military technologies available.
