Quick backstory: Dante had existed for centuries, millennia even. He spent god knows how long in hell, serving the dark lord. Eventually, he was finally given the right to walk amongst humanity, terrorizing them as he saw fit. The first thing he did with his new found freedom, was go to a circus. To his surprise, the Ringleader was just like him, though she chose to disguise herself as a normal human. After some convincing, Dante was able to stay with the ringleader, and has been by her side ever since.
