Avi's POV

"Get up Homie!!" said Kevin as he walked to Avi's bedroom.  "We have to be at the studio in less than an hour!!" Avi silently complained to himself.  "What?" Kevin said.  

"I don't want to get up.  I'm not feeling well today" I lied.

The truth is is that I was feeling something different about myself, to be specific, my sexuality.  Ever since we won the Sing-Off I had a deep crush on one of my best friends in the group.  For those who want to know, it's Scott.  But sadly, I had to give up that love for Scott because he was dating Alex at the time.  I'll admit, it destroyed me for the first year or so, but I finally learned to accept it.  But after that year, I STILL have a crush on him.

Who could not have a crush on him!!!  His hair was the definition of perfection.  His eyes were so blue on top of that.  Every time I look at his eyes, I'm instantly hypnotized.  I think it would be easier to state things that are not perfect about him 'cause that would be hard for me.  I just love everything about him.

On top of that, I just got out of an abusive relationship with Jonathan (fake random name everyone).  Not even Kevin knows that it was abusive.  All he knows is that the relationship between me and Jonathan was not meant to be.  But most of Jonathan's abuse was verbal.  But when he's drunk is a different story.  The week before I broke up with him, he came home to his apartment as drunk as a skunk.  I could tell this wasn't going to end well.

**flashback**

Jonathan comes home a little tipsy, needless to say he was drunk.  Knowing Jonathan was an aggressive drunk, I approached him with caution.  "Jonathan..." I asked cautiously "...are...are you ok?" He was silent.  "Jonathan?" I said as I stepped a little closer to him.  He was still silent.  "Babe?" WHAM!!! He punches me in the jaw and I fall to the floor in pain.

"What the flying fuck Jonathan!?!" I yelled at him.  I shouldn't have done that.  I saw the anguish build in his eyes.  Next thing I know he runs at me and starts punching me in the stomach.  It was hard for me to catch my breath.  I could barely breathe.  Jonathan didn't help my breathing at all 'cause after a few more punches to the gut, he puts his large hands around my throat and starts to choke me out.  I start kicking from underneath him struggling for air.  After a strong attempt of resistance, I finally black out.

I wake up an hour later embraced in Jonathan's arms on the floor of his apartment with my head in his chest.  I heard him whispering to himself  "I'm so sorry Avi.  I didn't mean to hurt you.  Please forgive me."  I start to move and Jonathan looks at me with his big hazel eyes.  

"Avi?" He says with concern and relief.  I get up without saying a word.  

"Avi? Please let me explain" he begged.  Tears were flowing from not only Jonathan's eyes but mine as well.  

"No!! This is the last time you hurt me Jonathan!! I am NOT your little punching bag!!" I yelled.  "I'm done Jay!!" 

"Avi wait!!!" he said grabbing my wrist.  I looked at him up and down, snatched my arm away from him and I left his apartment without another word.

**end of flashback**

It's been almost a month since I broke up with Jonathan and I could not be happier.  Yeah I'll still have some aches and pains but I'm happy.

Back to reality

"You're not feeling well? What's wrong bro?" Kevin asked with a concerned face.

"I think I ate something bad when we went to that restaurant last night.  My stomach has been hurting me for a few hours now" I said, lying through my teeth.  I don't think Kevin will believe me.  But to my surprise, he totally bought my story by the look of his face.

"Ok," said Kevin "I'll go down to the studio to tell the others that we might need to cancel rehearsal for today.  Will that be ok Avi?"

"Yeah that'll be good" I said, trying to sound convincing.

"Ok.  I'll be back in a bit.  Hope you feel better Avi."

"Thanks Playa."  

Not long after that, Kevin left Avi's apartment, driving to the studio.
