Chapter 4 ~ Earth 🌍

Amber's POV

"Hey Kaylee is passing out her invites to her Halloween party! Come on lets hurry!" I heard one kid say during lunch.

"Ugh! Why is everyone so obsessed with that girl? Its just a Halloween party." I said as I pulled out my book and started reading.

The sword came closer and closer to Robert's neck as he started walking backwards.

"This is the end of the line for you Robert!" Yelled the army general.

Robert closed his eyes as he started to cope with the fact that this is the end.

"STEP AWAY FROM MY HUSBAND!!" Yelled Jes-

But before I could finish the sentence I heard someone yelling my name.

"HEY AMBER!!" Yelled Kaylee as she grabbed my book.

I rolled my eyes in annoyance. "Yeah Kaylee what do you want?" I asked grabbing my book back.

"Look lets get one thing straight I'm only inviting you to this party cause my parents want you to sing, that's all got it!" Kaylee said as she slammed the invite on the table and walked away.

"God that girl gets on my nerves!" I said as I walked home.

I've always loved Halloween, that was until the accident. It was Halloween night and me and my parents where walking home. We decided to go down and ally to get home faster. Then that's when it happened. A guy came out of the shadows demanding money or they would kill my parents. But since we had no money left he shot my mom and dad right in front of me.

I then shook my head getting out of my thoughts.

"I need to get my costume." I said as I walked into my apartment.

"I'm home!" I said and then I realized something.

"Oh yeah I'm alone..." I said walking to my closet.

I opened my closet to see my costume for the party I was a cat women costume. It even came with the a whip and everything.

"I can't believe I going to this party." I said not even believing myself.

I then put on the costume and walked to my body mirror. "This is the weirdest costume I have ever seen. Well at least its a masquerade costume party." I said putting on my mask.

"Okay now for the killer boots." I said as I grabbed the black leather boots and sat on my bed.

"Fit you stupid boot!!" I yelled as I struggled with the first boot.

After struggling for 10 minutes I eventually got them on.

I grabbed my purse and walked to the door.

"Time to party.... yaaa!" I said sarcastically.

At the party...

"Please state you name." The bodyguard said.

"Amber Jackson." I said as the bodyguard looked at the list and back at me.

"Please go through the second door on the left for stage performers." The bodyguard said as her removed the velvet rope allowing me to enter.

I then walked down the hallway and stopped at the door that said performers only.

"I guess this is it." I said as I opened the door and walked in.

The room was kinda like a dressing room it had a mirror and a bunch of makeup on the counter and hair supplies.

"Well this isn't half bad." I said sitting on the chair.

"Okay Amber you can do this. It's just singing at a party, easy right?" I asked talking into the mirror.

Now I don't know if it was my subconscious talking to me or if I was just seeing things but my reflection started talking back to me.

"You'll be fine Amber! Its not like your gonna die!" My reflection said.

"Yeah but I've never sang in front of a crowd before!" I said pacing back and forth.

"You'll be fine Amber! Now get going!" My reflection said as it stopped talking.

"Amber Jackson your up!" Yelled the bodyguard as I walked on stage.

"Here goes nothing." I said quietly.

Our love story

Could be kinda gory.

Far from boring,

The crowd was silent for a while the I heard someone yell.

"THAT WAS AWSOME!!" A person yelled.

The crowd started clapping and wooping.

"Thank you!" I said into the mic as I walked off stage and back to the dressing room.

"Thank god that is over." I said as I whiped my forehead and sat on the chair.

"Your singing is really good." A voice said.

I then looked into the mirror to see a girl with dark blue hair looking into the mirror as well.

"How did you get into my dressing room!?" I asked/screamed.

"Clam down Zara and Zara's friends are here to help." The new found Zara said.

"Help how?" I asked grabbing my coat.

"Um Zara doesn't know how to answer that question. Um Kelly-chan?" Zara said as a baby otter walked out from behind Zara.

"Basically what Zara is trying to say is that you are a vessel Amber. Well the earth vessel to be exact. And soon you will be able to harness the power of the earth element like plants and wood and stuff like that." Kelly the cute sea otter explained.

I started laughing so much I feel out of my chair.

"Me... a... vessel... for.... earth magic... AHAHAHAHAH!!!" I said between laughs.

"We are serious Amber. This is no joke!" A new girl said with red hair.

"Okay look I have no idea who you guys are or why there is a otter, a polor bear, and a fox in the dressing room but its 11:00 PM and I need some sleep, but in conclusion I will believe all of this when pigs fly." I said empathizing the word this as I walked out of the dressing room.

"Look Amber we didn't believe it at first to but this is for real. Amber you can't deny the fact that you are the earth vessel." The girl with light blue hair said walking behind me as I left the building.

"I'm not denying anything its just that magic doesn't exist!" I yelled walking down the street.

"Of course it exists! If it didn't exists that why am I talking?" Asked the polor bear.

"I don't know why you are talking but can you please stop following me." I said as I cut down and ally.

"Look my name is Vanessa and this is Rebecca. Now I'm not gonna lie we didn't believe it either but this is true now come o-" Vanessa said as she got cut off.

"Why did you stop talking? Did you finally come to your senses and realized magic doesn't exists!" I said turning around.

"MMMHM!!" The 3 girls mumbled as they had guns to their heads.

"HEY LET THEM GO!!" I yelled.

"Now now. Clam down the other vessel will be fine if you come with us." One man said.

"And why would I do that!?" I yelled/asked.

"Cause I can sense the magic in these three and I can sense it in you too, now just come with us and well let the three of them go." The second man that was holding the gun to Zara's head suggested.

"MMHMM!!" Zara mumbled.

"Never! I may not known these people for long but I can tell they are good people!" I said as i got into my fighting stance.

"Fine well do the hard way." A women said this time.

She was now aiming the gun at me.

"Come with us or I blow you to bits!" The woman said as she was about to pull the trigger.

"NEVER!" I yelled.

"Fine by me go and die then." The women said as she pulled the trigger.

I then put my hands in a X formation to block it hopefully. But the I herd the bull drop the the ground.

I opened my eyes to see I was surrounded by vines that created a sphere around me.

"W-wh-what the hell!?" I said in shock.

"She's more along then we thought! Retreat!!" The women yelled as they ran away.

"Are you guys okay?" I asked running up to the girls.

"Yeah were fine." Rebecca said.

"I-i have t-to go." I said running away.

What the heck was that!? Those vines came out of no where!

After a while I had to stop running I found out that I ended up in the park luckily no one was there except me.

"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT!?" I yelled as I layed down on the ground.

"Magic..." a voice said.

"Who said that?" I asked.

"Us..." the voice said again.

"Who is us?" I asked.

"The plants silly..." the voice said.

"Yeah right plants can't talk!" I said shaking my head.

"Then who are you talking to then?" The voice asked.

"Damn it!" I said.

"Amber-san! Amber-san!" I heard Zara yelled.

"Over here." I said as Zara came running towards me with a green box with a white bow on it.

"Who's that for?" I asked.

"The earth vessel." Zara answered smiling

"Look I'm not the earth vessel you obviously got the wrong person." I said as I grabbed my book out of my purse.

"Please can Amber-san open it." Zara pleaded.

"Why do you keep on calling me Amber-san?" I asked.

"Cause Zara can tell that Amber-san has a lot of power in her. That's why I call you Amber-san and plus it has a good ring to it." Zara answered.

"Fine. Let me see the box." I said as Zara passed me the box.

I took of the ribbon and opened it.

I looked inside the box to see a little white rabbit.

"Awww your so cute!!" I said as I picked up the bunny.

"Thank you!" The bunny said.

"!?" I was shocked that the bunny was talking.

"I know I know. Its weird that I'm talking but you are Amber, correct?" The bunny asked.

"Yes." I said nodding my head.

"Great then this letter is yours." The bunny said as she passed my a green envelope with my name on it.

Dear Amber....

Your probably wonder who I am, well that's easy I'm was the last earth vessel. Now let me tell you it wasn't easy being the earth vessel. Keeping the balance in the plant world is harder than it sounds. A LOT HARDER! But don't worry Angle (that's the bunnys name) will help you through it. Now stay safe cause there will be a lot of dangers in this new world that you about to go into and let me tell ya it ain't pretty. But if you have someone to love then that world will get a lot better. That's all for now

"Wow... um... okay... what?" I asked.

"We'll explain more when we have the other four now lets go the wind vessel is next!" Angel said as Rebecca and the others showed up.

"Ready guys?" Zara asked.

"READY!" We all said.

"WIND VESSEL!!" Zara said as there was a gust of wind and we teleported.

Being a vessel doesn't sound half bad. And plus I need a new life. I wont let you down Lucy!
