Ally's Pov

Why do I feel so weird. This chilly feeling running through my body is frightening. I sense something is behind my back but as I turn around nothing's there. I call out to anyone but there was no answer. I feel uneasy as I walk back home. I feel so cold yet it is a summer night. I'm only a few blocks away from my house. I see a homeless man walking in my direction. Walking past him I look down avoiding contact with him. He smells like an old dead body. I fight the urge to cover my nose as it seems rude. After no longer hearing another pair of footsteps I lift my head back up and see the front of my house. As I walk in the warm room I see my father looking stressed out in his office. His hands were in his hair and he was clenching his teeth.
"Dad what's going on?"
He looked at me and said that I shouldn't have walked home by myself. Apparently there was this murderer on the loose. It hit to me sudden realization that I passed that man who smelled like a dead body...could I have died tonight? If he was the murderer why did he spare me? Soon father destroyed my thoughts after he said something that scare me even more.

"Today we found a body of a homeless man"

He was holding a photo of the body and I looked at it to see the same homeless mans body lying in a ditch....
