Suicide Note
Jefferson had a life long dream of becoming a famous photographer. He took his camera everywhere and took pictures of everything he saw. Even things most people didn't want to see in a picture.
On a Saturday evening, Jefferson went to the mall(with his camera of course) to look for new accessories for his beloved camera. He was looking for a new camera stand when loud screams were heard for the escalators. Immediately, Jefferson headed towards the shouts. He was greeted with a horrific sight. A woman was standing on the third floor on top of the ledge that looked over the rest of the mall. She held out her arms and closed her eyes, ready to jump. People from the crowd were shouting and pointing at her. A few people were trying to convince her to step down from the ledge. She didn't listen and within seconds her body hit the escalators, lifeless and bloody. Everybody screamed, ran, or covered their eyes and mouths with their hands. But not Jefferson. He saw this as a once in a life time opportunity. Jefferson held up his camera, took a picture, bought his camera stand, and headed home to eat dinner.
After eating, Jefferson took his new pictures (including the picture of the woman's suicide) and put them on his bulletin board where he kept the rest of his pictures.
He was about to take a shower when he noticed that the picture was no longer on the bulletin board and instead was lying on the floor a few yards away. Though he though it was awfully far, he kept telling himself it probably just fell. As he picked up the picture, he noticed something strange about it.
The woman in the picture was no longer lying lifeless at the bottom of the escalator. She was now a few feet in front of it, and she was lying on her back rather than her stomach. Jefferson thought he may have just forgotten how she looked in the picture and tried to tell himself that she looked like that since the moment he took it, but deep down he was not convinced. He hung the picture back on the bulletin board and took a shower.
After taking a shower, he went to the kitchen to get a glass if water before going to bed. That's when he noticed the picture.
This time it was by the sink, and when Jefferson picked it up he noticed that once again the picture has changed. This time was even worse, she was standing now and facing the camera. Jefferson felt like she was staring right at him. He immediately ripped up the picture and threw it in the trash.
After Jefferson's glass of water, he headed to his bedroom to go to bed. But once he entered, he noticed something lying on his pillow, something that looked an awful lot like a photograph. He slowly got closer to it until he was closer enough to see that it was indeed the picture he had taken at the mall that day. The picture that Jefferson knew he had just thrown away. He picked up the picture and planned to throw it in the fireplace, but then he noticed something eerie about the picture. The woman was missing.
Jefferson scanned the entire picture looking for the woman, but it was clear that she was no longer in it. He saw something moving out of his peripheral vision and immediately turned his attention towards it.
The last thing Jefferson saw before he died that night was the woman from the picture running towards him.
