Lucy

WARNING: LOTS OF BLOOD AND DETAILED GORE!

There was once, a young girl named Lucy. She was an ordinary girl, of the age 10. She had short, dark hair that dazzled in the light. Her blue eyes shon out from the dark mop of hair covering her elegant face.

This young girl, was a very normal girl- she liked 'girly' things such as dolls, and pink dresses. Little did she know this would kill her...

It all started in a cold, winters day. Snow gracefully danced from the grey sky, as fractals of light shon on the delicate flakes. A white blanket of snow lay across the sky and frost laced the brisk morning air. Lucy excitedly bounded through the snow, her mum trudged slowly behind; where are they going you ask? To the local shop to buy a doll- she had nagged and nagged her mum for it before finally giving in. She joyfully cheered and danced in the snow.

They eventually got to the shop and as the automatic doors slid open a wave of warmth hit them. They wondered in as Lucy ran towards the isle that she had saw the doll in. She finds it and excitedly grabs it and rushed back to her mother. They walked to the counter and Lucy excitedly paid with the money her mother had given to her. She approached the pale ship keeper with a grave expression on his face, and pale, grey skin. His breath was raspy as her reached for the doll. Lucy, scared, recoiled quickly and waited. As he reached over to scan it,l- she noticed a huge scar coiling around his neck. She began to breath faster as sound seemed to melt away from her ears. She handed him the money, hand shaking, as he grabbed her hand. "I'm sorry." He began " just please, please, be careful. Don't make the same mistake I did." He said in a harsh panicked tone, gesturing towards the scar on his neck.

Lucy breathed heavily as he locked eyes with her in the almost deserted shop. She began to struggle and ran over to her mother who was on her phone. "Mummy!" She cried "that man, he scared me! He grabbed me, and- and- he had a huge scar on his neck and- " she panicked before being interrupted by her mother "what man, sweetie?" She said confused. There was no man in sight. "The-the man!" She said exasperated "he was there!" She cried. "Come on." Said her mother warmly "let's get you home." She cooed. Lucy trudged back watching he counter where the man had just been.

~ one day later ~

Lucy had almost forgotten about the mysterious man now. She was overjoyed about her new friend the doll. She had decided to name it Paige the doll. She took her everywhere. She didn't leave her ever. She had to be with her at all times. She loved that doll dearly, and she played with it for hours and hours on end. Until...

One day she was about to go to the beach With her mum. They rushed around the house, manic, they where late, as they where meeting a friend there, they as to rush. "Come on Lucy!" Her mother urged. "Ok," she began "sun hat, check. Sun tan lotion, check. Towels, check. Wetsuit, check. Ok where ready." She sighed. They sprinted out of the door and jumped into the car. The doll left on the sofa. "I forgot Paige!" Cried Lucy "it's too late now!" Said her mother strictly as Lucy strops.

Meanwhile, her dog buster climbed onto the sofa and spotted the doll. Suddenly, the arm twitched; and so he attacked- ripping the head clean from its body.

Later that day Lucy got home she soon spotted a trail of stuffing on the floor. The trail soon became red. She gasped and called for her mother. She almost fainted as she rounded the corner and was greeted by the sight of her massacred dog. She gagged at the insides, which where now outside. A gag turned to a stifled sob as she reached for her phone and called the police.

Lucy sat sadly by the window, rain pounding against the glass. She watched as blue and red lights filled the dismal air. A salty tear crept down her face and dropped onto the picture she had been drawing of buster. The police knocked on the door and the mother explained how someone had broke into their house and murdered the dog. She knew murdering a dog was not a very big crime, but this also meant that someone had been in her house- or something. The only thing left in the room when they entered was the dolls arm, which Lucy quickly snatched up. She ran to her room as more tears threatened to fall- as he stopped and gasped in shock. She noticed a bloody trail leading to her bed, where she found Paige-innocently slouched by her other teddy's. blood splattered across her permanent smile, etched into her face. Her black, incrusted eyes, looked as if mockingly at Lucy. Her head however, was placed next to her body, as it had been tore off. "Paige!" Lucy cried. She rushed down past the police and showed her mother "it's ok dear," she sniffled "leave it on the cooker and I will sow it later." She said on the verge of tears. "There's no sign of a brake in?" Said one police officer. "Maybe a window was left open, however nothing was stolen and so we think this was personal. Someone you know? Someone with a grudge perhaps?" He said quietly "n-no!" She stuttered "we had no enemy's!" She said, sadness laced her voice.

The police continued to talk and search- to no avail. They could find not one shred of evidence of someone breaking in and therefore declared this event unsolved and they would take some samples back to the station. Later that night, after an eventful and emotional day, Lucy trudged up to bed. She lifted the covers and shrunk down underneath them. She was just about to enter the realm of sleep when she was awoken by a light scuffling sound. Then another. Then another. Scared, cowered and trembled under the covers until she felt a small scurry at the end of her bed. Her breathing became heavier and heavier until anything else was barely audible. The scurrying became closer and closer until it stopped- just like that. She held her breath. She felt her heart beat raise. She listened intently to any noise. She slowly lifted up her blanket to see- Paige. Her blood stained body sat up straight against her other teddies, it's head lying, lifeless, next to it- an eerie smile plastered to its face. It stared at Lucy lifelessly as her breathing quickened.

She calmed her self down, she must be imagining things, she must have left the doll on her bed without realising. She stared at the doll as if waiting for some kind of response, when it did. "I love you." It's automated eerie voice drawled. Lucy stared at the doll frozen in fear. Suddenly the doll twitched, and so Lucy grabbed it and yanked the battery's out. She stared at the seemingly lifeless doll for what felt like hours, until it snapped to life and squirmed in her grip, Lucy threw it at the open window. It flew out and she heard a small thump out side. She waited. Silence. Just the slight breeze whistling through the trees outside. "Luuuucyyyy," an eerie voice cooed in a scarily sweet voice. "I'm coming to gettt youuu!" It said playfully. Lucy dove under the covers, to afraid to get out of her bed, "Luuuucyyy! I'm coming to gettt youuu!" She repeated. Lucy shuddered and cried. She tried to scream but she was too scared. "Luuucyyy, I'm in you hoouuuuse!" She Shouted, as if toying with her. She let out a loud sob as another taunt was said, "luuucyyy, I'm in your kitchennn!" "Luuucccyy, I've got a kniiffe!" "Luucccyyy, I'm coming to get youuuu!" She repeated. Lucy cried and cried, "leave me alone!" She shouted. She finaly gained the courage to call for her mum as she had found her voice. " MUMMM!" She Shouted as if her life depended on it- which it did. "Oh," Said a tinkly warm voice "I'm sorry, I killed her!" She said, Lucy could practically hear her smile through the smugness in her voice. Lucy screamed. She let out a loud sob- "Luuuccyyy, I'm coming up staaiirrrrss!" "Luuuccyyy, I'm opening your dooorrr!" Said a clearer voice. The light from the corridor spilt into the dark room at the dark silhouette of a small figure stretched along the floor. A shining object glinted in its delicate hand, in the other was the round shape of her head.

"Luucyyy, I'm coming to get yoouuu!" Was the last thing Lucy heard except for her own scream and her head being removed from her shoulders.

~the next day~

Once again, blue and red lights filled the air as morning came upon the small village. The police had came to inform them that they would close the case when no one had answered the door, they broke it down and where greeted by the bloody massacre of Lucy and her mother. The doll was no where to be seen...
