It was finally time, time for me to leave the basement. I have been stuck down here for three days without anything.

It was Thursday. I let out a heavy sigh before turning to face the door. It clicked signaling that someone from the other side was unlocking it.

The door opened revealing a very snobby Jamie. Of course. "Get up you little brat and make us breakfast." I nodded and went to the kitchen to make the basic eggs and toast.

Once that was out of the way I went to the bathroom to take a quick shower.

After that was done, I got out and headed to my room with my towel wrapped around me. I shut the door closed gently and walked over to my closet to get dressed for school.

It took me about ten minutes to make a choice on what to where. I got dressed into my black adidas shirt, black leggings, and my black combat boots. Looks like I'm going all black today. I smiled before heading out the door swinging my book bag over my shoulder and heading to school.

I got to school at approximately 7:15 and headed straight for my locker gathering my things for my first hour, English.

"Heyyyy Nora," I looked at where the sound was coming from and to no surprise saw Claire. I sighed and gave her a quick hug in which she returned.

"Hi Claire bear," I said with a smirk forming on my face. She punched me playfully on the arm bouncing her blonde hair over her shoulder.

"I told you not to call me that," she laughed and shook her head. "I've missed you Nor, what happened? Where were you?" Claire asked not hiding the concern laced with her voice.

My smile faltered as the memories from the last few day came rushing in, I shuddered but not visible enough to where Claire could tell. "I was out of town," I lied.

"Oh yeah, where did you go?" She asked raising her eyebrow. Think Nora, think. It's not that hard. "Um...I went to New York to see my grandparents." She nodded and gave me a smile.

"Ok but next time don't fall of the face of the Earth without telling me first, okay? I nodded before she spoke again.

"Well, we better get a move on so we aren't late to class, see you later? I nodded and we split up into separate directions.

I hadn't realized I wasn't paying attention until I bumped into someone and plopped onto the floor with a thud. Not again. I looked up to see Calvin staring back at me with those hazel eyes of his. I looked back to the floor trying to hide my blush.

"Nora? We have got to stop meeting like this," Calvin chuckled slightly and crouched down to help me pick up my books. "I didn't know you go to school here?" I nodded.

"Yup." I said popping the 'p'. He nodded and handed me the books I had dropped. "What class do you have? Maybe I could walk you there." I nodded and gave him a hardly noticeable smile.

"I have English with Mr.Haleps." He gave me a smile and started walking in that direction expecting me to follow. "Wait for me!" I called out to him.

He shook his head and slowed down a bit, "well, if you weren't so slow than I wouldn't have to." He laughed and gave me a playful bump on the shoulder just like Claire usually does. "Relax I'm just playing with you." I nodded and soon enough we were in front of Mr.Haleps class.

"Well, thanks for walking me my class. I guess I'll see you around?" I asked waiting for a response. "You bet. Later." Calvin said waving his hand before heading off to what I assumed was his class.

As I walked into the class most of the room were already taken so I found one in the back which I gratefully took before Mr.Haleps began a lecture talking about some novel that we would be reading some time this semester.

It was finally the end of school but part of me wished that I could stay due to the fact that I knew what was awaiting me when I got home. "Nor! Over here!"

I looked over to Claire who was waiting for me by our spot with Amber and Shyla. I nodded to them as I approached. "Nora!" Shyla squealed as she pulled me into a tight hug.

"Shyla if you don't stop hugging her you'll going to wind up killing her." I looked over at Amber who gave me a sly smile. Shyla stopped hugging me and looked over at Amber, "oops sorry, I did it again didn't I?"

I shook my head and went around to give Amber and Claire a hug as well before looking back at Shyla. "Don't worry Shyla, you didn't hurt me, okay? She nodded pushing back her blonde hair and staring at me with those green eyes of hers.

I smiled at her and was about to say something but Amber beat me to it. "So where have you been Nor?" She asked playing with her long brown hair and looking at me with her big blue eyes.

I shook my head, "I've been in New York visiting my grandparents," I sighed out.

"Cool," Amber said.

I turned to look at everyone before I shrugged. "So where are we gonna go tonight because I'm probably not going to be going home for a little." They all exchanged glances to one another and nodded.

"Well, there's this new club in town," I nodded, I wasn't much of a dranker but I often went to clubs and bars to escape the world that was my life.

"Sounds great, lets go get ready."
