Chapter thirteen

A month later the night before Draco's birthday he was stressing out which was expected but Cassie was tired and it was half eleven so she quickly helped him go though his planning and once it was done they both fell fast asleep on Draco's bed surrounded by various pieces of parchment.

When they woke up in the morning cassie was leaving to go and get ready but head butted the wall trying to get out and had a big bruise on her face which Draco freaked out about because his day had now been set back half an hour due to Narcissa having to heal it.

"It was your walls fault for being in my way" she said as they sat in the kitchen.

"It's fine, Oi dobby I want everything ready to go by eleven no later" he shouted at the poor little elf.

"Yes master" he bowed as he ran out.

"Don't you dare talk to him like that he has feelings too" cassie smacked Draco hard in the back of the head.

"He's just a house-" Draco was cut off

"Don't finish that sentence or you'll get a smack to the front of your head I don't care that it's your birthday" she said giving him her best disapproving aunt face.

"Sorry" he pouted. "Let's get ready anyway we only have two hours" he panicked looking at the clock on the wall.

"Oh wow two hours what are we going to do" Cassie shook her head as she left him in the kitchen.

It took cassie all of 30 minutes to get ready and then she lay down on Draco's bed as he tested each pair of his shoes for an hour before he settled on the first pair he tried. Narcissa took them down the path to the portkey that had been placed outside the manors wards and they arrived at the park half an hour early too which Cassie rolled her eyes at the rush he was in.

"No ones going to be here for ages" cassie shrugged.

"It's better to be early so I can set everything up myself dobby won't get it right anyway." He gave her an apologetic look as she gave him a deathly stare.

When Draco had set everything out and Cassie had picked 632 blades of grass out of the parks floor Pansy arrived with a rather large box for Draco shortly after Crabbe and Goyle arrived each with a small badly wrapped gift for him. Of course Theo was going to be late he strolled across the park like he hadn't a cafe in the world and then handed draco a book shaped present.

There was a picnic table set up for the group and draco had outdone himself with the amount of food he'd managed to force dobby to make the table was over flowing. Only half of the food was used and the rest cassie convinced Narcissa to pack up so they could take it to st Mungos for the patients there.

Draco received a set of gloves from Crabbe and a matching scarf from Goyle, Theo got him a book that was carved out so he Could hide stuff in it, "made that myself I did" he winked at Cassie as it was opened. Pansy of course had to be extravagant and got him a beautifully made jumper, a travel broom cleaning kit and two books on quidditch.

Cassie gave him her present last it was a photo album that she made herself a dark green with silver details and a great snake on the front. When he flipped though the first few pages it was mostly pictures of him and Cassie but there were a few with each of his friends and she had left a big portion of it blank.

"I thought you could fill it up yourself when we get to hogwarts, it should last us until at least third year" she smiled.

"I love it thank you Cass" he gave her a side ways hug.

"Here's the other half of the present" she handed him another box.

He opened it and took out a magical camera and he smiled at it and then at Cassie.

"Okay let's all get a picture, mum!" he called over to Narcissa who was sitting in the shade of a tree with a drink in her hand.

"Yes love" she shouted back.

"Come and take our picture" he held up the camera.

She hurried over and positioned everyone and then told them a joke about a troll to make everyone laugh so she could capture the moment. Draco immediately put the photo in the album and gave Cassie another hug.

"Best birthday ever" he grinned at his friends.
———————————————————————
Whilst Draco's birthday was quiet but memorable, Cassiopeia knew that Pansy would make hers over the top so she and Draco had a do nothing day prior to the event.

Cassie packed a small overnight bag to take to Pansy's and then went to find Draco who was looking through boxes in the attic for things to take to hogwarts.

"Draco! Are you still up there!" She called up the stairs.

"Yeah come up" he shouted back.

Cassie climbed the small staircase expecting to see cobwebs and untidy piles of boxes but instead was surprised to see that Draco had really pulled a Draco.

"Please tell me it was like this before you came up here" she gave him a confused look.

"You left me unsupervised, technically this is your fault" he ran his hands though his hair frantically.

Cassie looked from one side of the room to the other, it was spotless everything was organised in rows and the afternoon sun that was shining through the window made the attic look more like an actual room and not an attic.

"I literally took an hour how did you do all of this" she shook her head.

"Well when I got up here I realised that this is going to be the first time we're apart since you woke up from your coma and then I started panicking so I stress cleaned" he rushed out.

"It's only for one night you'll be fine" she held out her hand to him, "now come on dobby's made us sandwiches to have before I have to go" Draco took her hand and followed her down the stairs.

They were sitting in the kitchen almost finished with their sandwich when Narcissa came in and took a bite of the half Draco hadn't eaten and then kissed both Cassie and Draco on the head.

"You ready to go to your first sleep over?" Narcissa asked as she ran a hand through Cassies tangled mass of hair.

"Of course I'm ready, can't be as bad as the sleepovers I used to have at bellas" both Cassie and Narcissa laughed.

"She was never capable of being around children I'm surprised she didn't send you out to war whilst you were there" Narcissa shook her head.

"Come on or your going to be late and Pansy will kill you and me" Draco said.

"Fashionably late is always okay my love, and I'm quite sure Pansy knows that already" Narcissa said looking at him lovingly.

Cassie floo'd to Pansy's house and was greeted with a hug from both Pansy and her mum. Her mum had given the girls each a basket full of stuff, face masks, snacks, fluffy socks with matching pyjamas. There was also herbs in there that mrs Parkinson explained that when they're mixed properly they can be used as tints and makeup.

At first Cassie was reluctant to get involved with any of the girly stuff but then Pansy practically pinned her down to put the face mask on, they both had on their pyjamas which were pink and not to her liking at first.

"You look cute just admit it" Pansy said from the floor of her bedroom.

"Pink is just such a girly colour" she cringed.

"And you are a girl, so suck it up because we're going to be sharing a dorm room for the next 7 years and I'm your bestfriend" she smiled.

"I think Draco's gonna fall apart when we get to hogwarts and he can't wake me up every morning at ungodly hours" she rolled her eyes.

"Your just lucky I like my Beauty sleep" Pansy laughed.

The two girls were joined by Mrs Parkinson who helped them mix all the herbs and applied it for them to the correct places when they looked at each other they both burst out laughing.

"We look ridiculous mum" Pansy said as she looked at her smiling mother.

"I thought this was supposed to make us look better" cassie laughed.

"You have to wait for it to set girls" she shook her head, "wash it off in 20 minutes"

When they finally washed it off they could see the difference's right away, their lips were more coloured their brows and lashes were darker, cheekbones more defined. Cassie almost thought she resembled bellatrix. After a night of doing fun girls things they both fell asleep once it turned midnight and Cassie had sang happy birthday to Pansy.

The morning of Pansy's actually birthday was like something out of a fairytale, mrs Parkinson had decorated the whole house and set out a table full of pastries and scones and different types of tea.

"Wow" Cassie said as she took a seat next to Pansy.

"I know right, no let's eat we have a big day a head of us" she smiled taking a bite out of a jam covered scone.

After they'd ate a good portion of the laid out breakfast the two girls got ready for the arrival of their friends.

The first to get to Pansy's was Draco who wished Pansy a happy birthday handed her a gift and then gave Cassie the tightest hug he possibly could give.

"Please never leave me again" he half laughed as he released her.

"I missed you too"

"You both have codependency issues" Pansy rolled her eyes playfully.

Theo, Crabbe and Goyle all arrived at the same time all singing happy birthday which Draco and Cassie joined in on.

When two girls Cassie didn't recognise walked up the path to the Parkinson house she instinctively grabbed for Draco's arm, he gave her a smile and nodded letting her know it was okay. The girls gave Pansy a gift and they made there way over to the group.

"you both know the boys, let me introduce you too Cassiopeia. Cass these are some friends of mine from the town down the road, Daphne and Astoria Greengrass"

"I've heard so much about you lovely to finally meet you" Daphne roped Cassie in for a hug which made her flinch slightly.

"Nice to meet you both" Cassie smiled.

"Can we go now, my limbs are starting to get stiff" Theo groaned.

"Shut up Theo" Pansy and Cassie said in unison.

"We're just waiting for one more person, remember my dads work friend's son" Pansy reminded them.

"He's from France right, so he speaks french" Cassie questioned.

"Mhm, I've only met him once and he seemed quiet" Pansy looked into the mirror too her right and fixed her hair.

After a few more minutes they all heard the crack of apperation outside and the most stunning woman Cassie had ever laid eyes on came through the front door flashing everyone a gleaming smile before whispering to her son behind her and turning into the room Mrs Parkinson was sitting in. The boy was almost as stunning as his mother and looked like a walking statue.

Everyone was practically staring at him so Cassie did the only logical thing she could think of to make him feel less like a zoo animal and she introduced herself to him in almost perfect french shocking everyone else standing there and making the boy grin exactly the way his mother did.

"It's nice to meet you too Cassiopeia but I speak English" he half laughed, "I was raised here I've just lived in Paris for the last four years"

"Sorry" Cassie reddened.

"I'm Blaise Zabini" he held out his hand to her which she shook.

Everyone introduced themselves to Blaise and he seemed to get along with the boys exceptionally well. Then they all made there way down the the lake which Mrs Parkinson flicked her wand at and it froze over completely then she gave everyone a set of ice skates.

The warm summer air felt amazing with the complements of the cold ice rising up, the group of them spent the whole day messing around on the ice. Cassie felt comfortable around Blaise right away although she was starting to warm up to the greengrass sisters, the younger of the two Astoria kept lingering around Draco.

"You'll get used to that she's been doing it for years" Theo said as he scared by and took cassies hand pulling her away from her nephew.

"She looks all star struck" Cassie half giggled.

"She's fancied him for her whole life I think she'll eventually get over the creepy staring" he shrugged.

When it was finally dark Cassie and Draco could barley keep their eyes open whilst they waited for Narcissa to pick them up. Both of them drained from a day of non stop activity they both crawled into Cassie's bed because it was comfier and fell asleep.
