As long as Jerry was happy, I tried to be happy for him.

The school day dragged on. Jerry was too busy with Mindy to talk to me, aside from saying "hi" when we met in the hallways.

I took a deep breath. Even looking at him hurt, knowing one day he might not be there, but Jerry was happy now.

Isn't that all that mattered? I told myself yes.

Jerry invited me over after school, "I hope you don't mind, but I invited Mindy over."

"Harmony?"

Jerry scoffed, "Of course not."

I laughed, "So uh, what's Mindy like?"

"Pretty, smart, sweet, cute-"

"Ok I get the point! But what's she really like? You probably said the same things about Harmony."

"I never liked Harmony! Plus Mindy is way different."

Sure, he never liked Harmony. But at least he got over her.

I rolled my eyes. I never knew my best friend was girl-crazy.
