"You seem very quiet today," Jerry said.

Of course I was. Did he know what day it was? Exactly five years ago today, my life had gone crashing down. Had it not been for that day, I would never have met Harmony. My mom would still be here. My dad would be a normal, loving father. But Jerry didn't know. We had been best friends for forever, but I was always careful not to let him know the truth about my parents. Or Harmony, for that matter, since he knew her now.

"I guess so."

Mr. Henrick parked the car. "We're here!"

"Awesome!" Jerry opened the door and got out.

I sighed and followed him.

But once I got out of the car, I saw something. My eyes widened.

It was Harmony. With two adults. I had no clue who they were, but seeing them so near Harmony, made me think that trouble lurked in the air.
