Chapter 36

"Hey Jess." Niall's soft Irish accent accompanied a slight shake of my shoulder.

I fluttered my eyelids and opened them. When had I fallen asleep? I was laying on my bed still clothed, and it took me a few minutes to realize what time of day it was. I must have fallen asleep while listening to my music.

"Hey what's up?" I finally replied after orientating myself.

"I was wondering if you wanted to go see a movie."

"Sure I'm down. Which one?" I wasn't sure what movies were playing.

"They're playing some popular movies that were released a little bit ago. I was thinking the fault in our stars." He shrugged waiting for me to comment.

"Okay sounds good. I love that movie. Give me a few minutes to get ready." He hugged me gently before leaving my room.

I was still in my workout clothes so I picked out a nicer outfit to put on. I dressed in a pair of capri's and a ruffled orange shirt. I slipped in some earrings and a elephant necklace that went down to a little above my belly button. Last I pulled on my pair of converse.

I looked in the mirror and huffed, my hair was an absolute disaster. I brushed it out and added some hairspray to tame the frizz. Once it looked decent enough I smoothed on some lipstick and a bit of mascara.

I walked out and saw Niall standing in the hall playing on his phone.

"Hey." I said and he looked up.

"Hey. Ready to go?" He asked his eyes locked onto mine.

"Yep." He came over and took my hand after kissing my cheek. I smiled at his gentleness. We walked down the stairs together and outside. We hopped into his car and he drove to the nearest theater.

The ride was mostly silent, but he played the radio so we both sang along. It was like our own carpool karaoke.

"You seriously have a beautiful voice." He said his eyes innocent.

"Aww thanks. I don't know if I could ever sing in front of a audience though. I'm barely comfortable in front of you." I said with a sigh. I wish I was confident enough to, but I doubt that would ever happen.

"Maybe someday." He said full of hope.

"Maybe." I agreed. We arrived at the theater and he turned off the car. He came around and , like the gentleman he always is, opened the door for me.

I took his hand and got out. We walked inside and he bought us tickets.

"Popcorn!" I squealed pulling him back towards the stand.

"Okay calm down." He said with a chuckle.

"You better not forget the butter."

"I won't."

"Good."

He ordered a medium popcorn and like he promised made sure there was butter on it. He also ordered a coke for us to share. I smiled, typical movie theater date here I come. It was sweet though. I'd always wanted to go see a movie with my boyfriend.

We walked to theater three where the movie was being shown. We were half an hour early so the theater was empty. We found seats near the back right in the middle of the row.

"Thanks so much for bringing me Niall. I haven't seen a movie in a while at a theater." I said snuggling into his shoulder.

"Of course, I thought it would be fun."

"Yeah it is so far." I smiled and breathed in the scent of his aftershave. It smelled like the woods and freshness. It definitely smelled pretty nice.

I couldn't ask for a better date with my super sweet boyfriend. I couldn't help it, but I think I was in love with him. I smiled again at the thought, whatever I had with my old boyfriend certainly wasn't love. He was just taking advantage of me wanting to feel accepted and loved by someone. This, what I had with Niall, was love.

And man was I glad for it. If everyone has someone they're meant to be with. Maybe Niall and me belong together?

****

The movie was over in a flash and before I knew it the credits were rolling and soft music was playing. We were only accompanied by one other couple who were sitting in the front. It made it even more perfect, it was practically just us. The popcorn was long gone as was the soda.

"Ready to go?" He asked kissing my cheek.

"Yep. I had a nice time." I said with a smile.

"That's good, and we still have somewhere else to go." His voice held a hint of mischief which made me wonder where we were going next.

"I can't wait!" I stood up and stretched out my legs. He stood up and wrapped his arms around me. I tilted my head up and kissed him softly. He kissed me back and brushed some hair off my face.

"We should probably go." I whispered, we were nose to nose and his blue eyes looked especially beautiful.

"Yeah let's go." He gently tapped my nose, making me scrunch it up. Which then proceeded to make him laugh. Which, of course, made me laugh.

We walked out of the theater hand in hand. Once in the car he drove to a place I hadn't been before. It was a fancier part of town, yet the café we drove to was tucked away in the corner. Almost unnoticeable, unless you knew where you were going.

"Here we are." He said pulling into the tiny lot beside the building.

"It looks cute. How comes I've never been here before?" I said playfully nudging his shoulder.

"Well, I just found out about it a few days ago. So that's why." He smiled and winked before getting out.

I rolled my eyes at his behavior, but nonetheless I enjoyed being around him. And honestly I found it pretty cute whenever he winked.

I hopped out of the car before he could come around and open it, which resulted in a pout from him.

"Hey, I'm trying to be a gentleman here you stole my job." He said still pretending to pout.

"Oh sorry." I said mock gasping." That is totally your job."

"It okay, but next time you better let me!"

"Okay, okay." I held up my hands showing my surrender.

He grabbed one of my upheld hands and we walked in. I was stunned. It had such a calming, mellow feeling. The walls were a dark wooden stain, but not so dark that it felt small. There was a fireplace in the corner emanating a soft glow. And instead of bright florescent lights overhead, there were small globe lights hanging over each table. Overall it felt like a cozy place, where I could definitely see myself spending a lot of time in the future.

We headed towards the counter, and he bought us both a sandwich and a drink. I got a tea latte while he got a coffee. We sat at one of the tables tucked away in a corner.

"This place is so amazing." I said looking around again.

"I know. It's absolutely Georgous and such a calming atmosphere."

"Yes it certainly is." I smiled and just gazed into his piercing eyes.

Soooo... I know I know I missed a week.
But here it is lovelies!!
