Narrator's P.O.V

For the past 6 days, Chat has been visiting Marinette. Although, the visits wouldn't last long - she wasn't so comfortable about it. She liked being alone, it was a nice and sensational feeling.

"Come on, Marinette...Chat's only trying to help. Why don't you try being friends with him as your civilian self? It might help you in your situation." Tikki suggested to the bluenette calmly.

"You're right, Tikki," Marinette sighed, "He's only trying to help me out, but how does he know what it's like? What it's like to...lose a parent?" Marinette gazed at the night sky from her window. Chat had only just left from his visit (A visit that only lasted around 5 minutes).

"Maybe he does? You should ask him next time he arrives. Maybe it could bring up a good conversation?" Tikki flied to Marinette's pillow, and snuggled into it.

Marinette yet again, sighed. She turned off the lights and went into the bathroom. Whilst being in the bathroom, she put some water on the newly cut scars she had created before Chat arrived. She was fed up with everything; her self harm, herself, her life.

She brushed her teeth and hair and turned off the light in the bathroom then got into her bed. She snuggled into her cushion just like Tikki did. "Goodnight, Tikki..." Her eyes felt heavy and closed. She dreamed away the night; or should I say, nightmared away the night.

Adrien's P.O.V

"Come on, Plagg. We've gotta go visit Marinette." Adrien stood up from his desk chair.

"Ughh, but what's the point? She'll kick us out after like 5 minutes - 5 minutes wasted of not having cheese!" The small black being complained. I pursed my lips and shook my head. 

"Plagg, Transform Moi!" I commanded, and the dark creature got pulled into the silver ring, making the metal turn black and have a green paw print on it.

I bounced house to house, with the help of his baton. He reached the balcony of his destination, and knocked on the trap door.

The door opened and there was Marinette, her eyes...where's her sparkle gone?

I swear, as Adrien, I've always seen glints of happiness in her eyes.

Have I not noticed they were gone until now?

"Come on in, Chat." Why was she being so welcoming? I don't understand.

I hesitantly climbed down the ladder and onto her floor. She was looking down, seeming sad - nothing different. But she looked at and faked a smile. This was like the 9th time I've seen her do that.

"So, Chat! How are you!" She was acting different. I can tell she wasn't happy, I just can. She was faking everything, she wasn't cheerful at all.

"Marinette, I know something's wrong." I said with a straight face, and she started to look nervous, pursing her lips and looking around the room.

She sighed, "Fine. I've got something I've been meaning to ask you, Chat..." She sat on her floor and crossed her legs. "Have you...ever lost a parent?" She glanced to the floor, avoiding eye-contact with me.

I placed my hand onto hers, and she hesitantly looked upwards. "Yes, I have." I choke out.

"Could you...tell me about it?" Her voice shivered as she said her words, almost as if she didn't want to say it.

"It was my mother. She..."

- Flash Back -

"Happy 11th Birthday, my little Adrien!" My Mother smiled gracefully.

My Mother was a very excitable woman, she was very clumsy too. She has a kind heart, she was generous, she could be shy at times, but most of all: she was brave.

We were sat under a tree at the park. She placed her hand on my cheek and smiled.

"Adrien, no matter what happens, I want you to stay strong. I want you to stay happy. I want you to find your self a beautiful young lady and marry her - but not Chloe. You'll see why I chose Chloe to be a bad lady for you. I want you to be a gentleman, but most important; I don't want you to forget me." She grinned, turning her head to the side and giggling.

"Mum, what's this about?" I squeaked with my high-pitched voice. "What do you mean by all that?"

"Oh, don't worry Adrien," her lips turned into a frown. "I just..don't want you ever to forget me." And with that, I hugged her. I didn't respond to what she had to say anymore, I just hugged her.

She patted my blonde locks and started peacefully singing,

''Miraculous...Simply the best...Up to the test when things go wrong...Miraculous...The luckiest...The power of love is always strong...Miraculous.....'' Her voice was angelic.

"What's that song about?" I tilted my head to the left. She just chuckled and said,

"A little secret of my own. You'll know when you're older." She touched her peacock brooch which was placed on her shirt. 

"Come on, my little boy. It's time for us to be returning home. You know your father loves to see you as much as I do." She rose from the green grass and held out her hand.

My Father was a strong man, a happy man. He would always have a grin on his face, and would never have a frown.

That was my family, we were a big happy family.

- End of Flashback-

"And the day after that, she was nowhere to be seen. We still haven't found her till this day." I said after my story was foretold. 

"Chat...I'm so sorry..." Marinette's eyes started to water, and a tear slowly fell to her cheek. I took my finger and wiped it off.

"No, don't cry. It's alright. I've gone passed those days, and now I'm here to teach you to." I rose from the floor. "Now then, how about a movie?"
