Darkness.

Total darkness.

No sign of escape.

It's.

Such.

A.

Struggle.

To.

Breathe.

Then... light.

I can see.

"You could've killed her!" I hear. Lady Gisela.

"Well, I didn't. Sheesh." Fintan.

"Cobalt!" I hear someone yell.

"What?" A girl with short, curly black hair, and a scar on the bridge of her nose steps out.

"She's your problem." 

The girl groans. "Ughhh."

"You're always complaining about being bored, Valdis." The voice shoots back.

The girl rolls her eyes. "Fine, Ivy,"

Then, parts of a girl with red hair appears. "My name is Lumi."

Lumi strangles the girl with black hair.

"Uh-uh." Cobalt waggles her finger at Lumi. All of a sudden, Lumi punches herself over and over again.

She's a Mesmer.

Lumi disappears completely and Cobalt freezes.

Literally.

As in, ice starts spreading across her body.

But she doesn't look fazed. She just laughs. And the ice starts smoking away.

"You're... you're a Pyrokinetic and a Mesmer?" I ask, stunned.

Cobalt nods. "Hydrokinetic, too."

"But... but..." I can't seem to find the right words. "I thought only Polyglots could have another ability. Normal Elves only have one."

Cobalt laughs. And it was only then I realized something.

She had scarlet red eyes. 

Not blue.

"You didn't figure it out yet? We're not Elves."

And then I was knocked out again.
