Y/N POV

I was on my way home from school with some friends. Me and some of my friends had started smoking cigarettes like 6 months ago. It just started with us smoking at parties then it became a habit.

So we were walking home smoking and just talking about random shit and a party this Friday.

Hey guys, we're going to that party this Friday right I asked my friends.

Yeah of course we are, you just have to get out of the house Y/N.

I know it's really annoying that she won't let me do anything like I'm 16, not a baby.

Scarlett POV

I was on my way home. I had gotten off set earlier than expected. I just wanted to go home, watch a movie and order takeaway with my daughter.

When I was driving I drove past a group of young kids smoking. I was so glad my daughter didn't smoke and didn't break the rules or that was until I saw her walking from behind someone with a cigarette in her hand and then bringing it up to her lips and inhaling. God was I mad.

I drove home and waited for her there I sat on the couch and it didn't take long for her to get home with all of her friend's barging through the door

Y/N I yelled getting her attention

I could tell she was about to tell her friend to just go upstairs and wait for her so I just said it for her.

Don't bother going upstairs. I need to talk to Y/N and I think it's best if you're not here.

Y/N POV

The second my mom yelled I knew something was wrong. I was just about to tell my friends you just wait for me upstairs but she straight up just told them to leave. I was really thinking about what I did to make her mad at me but nothing came up.

Y/N what the fuck are you doing going around smoking for my mom yelled at me.

I was just standing there thinking how the hell did she find out so I said the first thing that came to my mind.

I don't smoke mom. I said to her hoping she would believe me and also hoping she wouldn't ask me to come closer cause I had just smoked.

Well I saw you on my way home from work with your friends so don't tell me you didn't do it when I literally saw you doing it. Why are you even doing it and you almost never broke any rules couldn't you just sneak out instead of beginning to smoke she yelled at me again.

I was in deep shit I didn't know what to say to her so I just didn't say anything and just looked down at my feet.

Do you have something to say she asked

I still didn't answer what were you supposed to say after getting caught.

You're grounded everyday you come straight home no detours and give me your phone and the cigarettes she said holding her hand out.

I gave her my phone and then said I don't have any, we just share a packet.

So you wouldn't mind me going through your back to see you still have time to come clean and just give them to me she said and slowly made her way over to my back.

Fine I have some I said while taking my hand in my pocket in my jacket and taking a packet out of it and throwing it to her.

Why did you start?

I don't know, I whispered.

It just happened, it just started at parties and then went on I said a little louder than before.

I'm sorry mom I promise I will stop, I said hoping she would believe me.

Are you really sorry or are you really just sorry about getting caught she said.

I am sorry about starting mom, it just got out of hand and then I couldn't stop again I said.

Will you forgive me? I asked really hoping she would so I could get a hug.

I will always forgive you but this isn't just about forgiving it's about trust and you have to earn that trust back she said to me.

Anything I said rushed forward engulfing her in a massive hug.

I love you mommy I said.

I love you sweetheart but if you do it again you will be grounded till you're 30 she said.

I just laughed and hugged her harder.

The ending is pretty bad. I didn't know what to write.

I just read the first oneshot i wrote and I noticed how many mistakes there were in it.
