Lady of the Sea
I could hear the sirens coming to the house, they're were approaching at a fast alarming pace. My breath hitched for a bit until my legs responded to whatever signal my brain had transmitted.
I turned on my heels and dashed into the park. I just ran and ran crunching any fallen leaves that the autumn air blew from the trees. I didn't want to stop, I couldn't afford to stop.
The blood from my hands was already taking a toll to my nose. The iron like smell was doing nothing to my ego. I felt no shame, no sympathy towards owner of the blood.
Go to hell!
The voice rang inside my head no more than a hundred times. My breath grew even now, in sync with the long strides my legs were running. I needed to escape, to leave, to run, and to even fly.
I could see a clearing up ahead, the sounds of waves crashing onto a rock wall. I'm reaching a cliff. I'm going to need to stop soon.
A smile grew upon my lips, giving every last amount of energy to one final sprint.
"I'm not stopping!" I cried out into the autumn wind. Hoping that sea breeze would catch my voice and let it echo into the horizon.
My feet reached the edge, and I jumped. I soared into the air. Every fiber in my body was finally letting go. Releasing my humanity and letting the monster inside me take control.
