1: going under
Her gorgeous green eyes dilated as a hue halo around her irises a glowed a light tint of green. Her hands ran down the firm chest of the poor sailor boys trembling body. A boy that no one will find as Cya places her lips on his icy cold ones. Her eyes glow as she kisses his lips, the door to his vitality. Her long iridescent fin begins to beat, as her heart beat goes in sync to her transformation.
You could see the light white faded waves slip through the boys lips, entering her own cursed ones. A moan slipped out of the boy's lips as his veins began to glow a light as it ran up his body. His eyes opened up slightly only to see the face of death. A beauty that is taking his life. His chocolate brown eyes slowly grow dull, and the beat of his heart grows into a slow beat.
Death is coming.
Cya's lips quirk up as she grabs onto the boy and feasts on the last particles of the boy's life. And then the inevitable happens. the boys heart stops and his body goes limp against the cold rock, now coffin of his.
"Now that's what I call thirsty." Cya smiles as she stands up from the boulder, wiping her lips as she tastes the last remaining drops of his vitality.
"Did he have to be so young." My voice is low and filled with a slight tint of regret. I remained sitting at the edge of the large boulder. Turning my face away from the rigid boy's body. He couldn't have been more than fifteen years old. She just laughs a pleased cynical chuckle before I hear her push the boy's body off of the boulder. I could hear the heavy splash of the boy and the echo of a the sinking motion as the depths do their nature.
"Aqua, you do know that you're befriending a siren correct." Her hand slipped through my long black locks, finding the side of my neck as she started to kiss the bottom side of my ear.
"I was aware." My voice was calm and collected. Something that Cya enjoys to probe and find a way to get through my façade.
"Then wipe off that silly little depressed look. You know that I had to feed sooner or later." Her quirkiness in her tone would never die off. Not even if I would've stood up to her.
"Cya there was many more men out there that would've deserved that fate. Not the kid." I whipped my head to look at her and just growled at her. It was impossible to understand why a mermaid would be friends with a siren. Especially when we both don't see eye to eye when it comes to the fate of the men out on the sea.
"Aqua, just because they're old doesn't mean that they deserve the right to be kissed by me." She flipped her brunette hair to the side of her neck. She pranced around the rock boulder and tip toed her way on the sea, walking over to face me.
"Oh right, because it's such a blessing to be killed by a magical creature." I smirked.
"Excuse me princess, last time I checked your kind isn't even possible." She scoffed, as she poked the one nerve that would tick me. My blue eyes started to light up it's red halo as I tried really hard not to attack her on the spot.
"Shut it."
"Oops, forgot. That's super sensitive, after all I am the only one that actually accepts you." She walked over to me as she reached over and toyed with the strands of my black silk hair.
"Well aren't you so sweet." I hissed at her and just swung my fin over the sea's surface. Creating ripples of water and letting me not get too into my head.
"I know I am. And because I am your only friend, I now it's time for you to feed." In the next second Cya had dived into the waters once again and her feet morphed back into her dark toned fin. She swam back onto the surface when she realized that I wasn't following her.
"I'm not feeding." I stated.
"Yes you are, or do you remember the last blood bath you created in Heidi." I rolled my eyes at her and just looked away from her.
"It was an accident." I breathed and Cya just laughed.
"An accident for ignoring your nature. Aqua you're a vampire whether you like it or not. Maybe I'm a monster for feeding on the innocent, but guess what honey? You turn into something much worse when you don't quench that thirst." I breathed in a bit and bent up my tail covering my chest. Trying to go back into my shell.
Even if I try to deny it...
"I'm a mermaid, not a vampire." My voice broke a bit before I tried to fight back the storm of feelings that was swelling up inside of me.
"You're both princess, now let's go and tend to your needs." This time she wasn't offering it was more like a demand. I didn't want to listen to her but she was right. My blue eyes looked up to lock with her green ones and just gave in.
I slid off of the rock boulder and sunk into the depths of the sea. Cya was right by my side being my guard in this hunt. A siren being my friend might be unreasonable.
No mermaid, has ever had any form of bond with the siren's for the simple reason that they were murderers and rebels. Unwilling to listen to the laws of the royal mermaid family. My family, their history of attacks on the humans and on our people was infamous. The only thing that siren's care about is the thrill of the hunt and chaos they can create.
So out of all of this how could I trust a creature that knows nothing of loyalty? Because she saved my life, right when I was ready to end it all she came to my aid and gave me a reason to live. A way to fight back and accomplish the one thing left in my life. Revenge.
We swam up to the beach, near one of the Caribbean islands. Transforming back into our human forms. Cya had no shame in wanting to strut around in our true pearl nature, naked. But I knew more than anything that we would catch more attention like that.
"You really have no fun Aqua." She sighed and just rolled her eyes as we hid underneath one of the lifeguard shacks.
"Cya it's my hunt and I don't want us to get remembered because we were out and about naked." I hissed at her and just peaked out to see a bunch of college girls running to the beach stripping from their bathing suits and clothes. I could feel Cya's glare barring into my skull.
"They're drunk and I don't feed on girls." I stated back to her glare. And just moved over to their side of the beach. As soon as the girls were all out playing in the cold sea. Under the moonlight, I knew the night was going to be my ally during my hunts. I snatched two sets of bikinis and shorts and went back over to Cya's side.
"I can't believe, humans have such horrible taste on bathing suits." Again she complained and I kept on thinking it be best to not bring her to anymore of my hunts.
now that we were fully clothed I grabbed onto her hand and pulled us over to the pier. Where there was a bit of more shacks with many people. All this heat and bodies was making my throat dry. I could feel my blue eyes lighten a bit as my fangs elongated just a bit.
"Aqua." She hissed at me, as she grabbed onto my arm and pulled me to her. My thirst phase was interrupted and I was momentarily back to myself.
"I hate this." I cursed under my breath as I literally snatched a random guy on the street and pulled him to the dark. My fangs really elongated as I grabbed onto the drunk guy's neck.
"Nothing personal, just wrong place at the wrong time." I said to the guy. I could hear Cya curse at me as she stands on the end of the alley. Making sure no one sees me. My thirst felt at it's peak and I didn't care as I ripped the guys shirt down to expose his neck to me. The sight of his plump vein was too enticing. In a brief second I tore into his neck.
Feeling the gush of his warm blood fill my mouth. Feeling the sweet taste of his life going down my throat as I greedily pulled him towards me and fed. My animalistic nature was a bit out of hand as I drank the man dry.
I released my fangs from his neck and let his body drop down to the floor. I took a huge breath of fresh air as my body began to indulge with the new energy. Making my heart beat accelerate and my entire body tingle. I felt alive once again, but again I felt guilty.
I took away another life.
