Jon's POV (oh great)

This show was actually pretty good so far. I mean yeah Scarlet is in it but still it good.
Haley is sitting next to me on my right and Carleigh is on my left. Sometimes I hate being stuck between girls.

"Did you see how Scarlet's face looked when she told the phantom that Gustave was his son? That's really good acting." Carleigh said
"It was really amazing like in Beneath a moonless sky how it felt like it was a real story. It felt like you could imagine what they were both thinking." Haley responded

I dazed out of there conversation and thought about the show. I glanced in the program I had and looked at the cast pictures. There was something about that boy, Jack I believe, that looks familiar to me. He almost had the same features of Scarlet.
Nope. I am not letting my mind travel down that route. Scarlet would never do anything like that. Never. Even Carleigh and Ariana have known her basically her whole life so they know she wouldn't do something like that.

Unless there hiding something from us.

"What do you think" Haley asked me 
Uh shit.
"Well I think the show is great so far. Scarlet really knows how to pull off a character that demanding."
Haley only nodded at me then pressed a kiss to my cheek.
"When will you ever have me instead of her." She asked.
I didn't answer as the lights dimmed and act two began.

I was happy when Scarlet came back onstage. It was nice to know your girlfriend was a stage star. The scene we were in now felt real. It all felt real but I knew it was only pretend. Only a show that told the same story again night after night.

CHRISTINE
Gustave, will you hand me those earrings? The sapphires on the left? There- how do I look?

GUSTAVE
You look so beautiful
So very beautiful
Like a queen in a book

CHRISTINE
You too are beautiful
So very beautiful
Once this performance is through
We'll spend some time, just us two
Won't that be fun?

GUSTAVE
Father! Doesn't mother look lovely tonight?

RAOUL
Indeed she does...as lovely as she looked the very first time I came to her dressing room door.

CHRISTINE
And look at you Raoul! You look just like that handsome boy in the opera box. The one who would always toss me a single red rose.

RAOUL
Please Gustave, if you don't mind
Would you wait outside awhile?

GUSTAVE
But when's mother going to sing? I don't want to miss it!

CHRISTINE
Go and wait backstage my dear
Soon Papa will fetch you there

You can both watch from the wings.

RAOUL
Since our wedding day
Things have gone astray

CHRISTINE
Raoul...

RAOUL
I'm not proud of the way that I've acted

CHRISTINE
We've both been-

RAOUL
The demands I've made!

I'm aware of the price they've exacted

CHRISTINE

RAOUL

CHRISTINE

RAOUL
You have to know something's terribly wrong dear

CHRISTINE
But I have to do this!

RAOUL
That Hell-spawned demon
He's had us playing his game all along dear

CHRISTINE
Let me just get through this
Listen please, I need to

RAOUL

CHRISTINE
But, darling I'm due on stage in ten minutes! How can I possibly amend-

RAOUL
Listen! Please! I have passage for three to Schoenberg on the Atlantic Queen. It leaves tonight-let's be on it! For both our sakes...and for Gustave.

Leave this place behind.

CHRISTINE
Go and find Gustave. Tell the stage manager not to disturb him. I need some time.

(Raoul leaves and shuts door)
(Christine takes off earrings and tries to leave, but door is locked)
(Phantom appears behind her)
