Scarlet

Tonight was the night. Tonight I would make my national tour debut as Christine in Love Never Dies. I was currently in my dressing room getting my hair and makeup done. Ally was my dresser and boy she knew how to to pin curles fast. She finished my wig prep and helped me get my wig on. Then she helped me get my Disembark outfit on before curtain up. I wasn't used to having someone help me before. It had always been the other way around. This will surely take time getting used to. Once she had finished she left me to be on my own for a little bit. I smiled to myself as I looked in the mirror. I heard the door open and Colin And Jack came in.

"Good luck tonight" Colin told me
"Thanks" I said
Jack looked around my dressing room. He eventually set eyes on my candy jar which had Sour Punch Straws and Gummy Bears.
Jack turned to me with pleading eyes.
"you can have one" I tell him.
His face lights up as he reaches in the jar.
"Oh Colin, can you take a picture of me?" I asked him
"Sure"
I posed and he took it. Then he handed me back my phone.

"You look pretty" a small voice said.
Jack was smiling at me. Just then Hugh came in.
"You look nice"
"Thank you"
I noticed Jack had a photograph in his hand.
"What's this" he asked Colin
Colin looked at him,then to me,and finally at Hugh.
"It looks like Miss Scarlet Holding a baby" Jack said.
Jack then turned over the picture and read:
""Baby Jack, ( age 1 ) with me Holding him""
Jack was confused. "What Does that mean" he asked
"He should know Scarlet. He needs to know the truth." Hugh said.

Very well.
"Jack....." I started. "A long time ago when you were only 3 your mother left you with your father. Your Mother didn't want to but she knew she had to go to continue to work."
Jack only nodded,listening carefully.
"See your Mother loved Someone who care a lot about her. She had known him for a long time and well she....." my voice trailed off.
"She was already married. She was just waiting for you to come along. You did about a year later. She knew that she wouldn't see your real father again. But she was wrong."

"What do you mean 'real father'" jack asked confused
"What I'm trying to say Jack is that I'm your Mother." I said slowly
Jack gasped in surprise. "But I never had a mother before."
"You always did. She just wasn't around." I say,tears forming in my eyes.
"And Jack your Father, your real one isn't Colin."
Jack's face lit up,understanding.
"Your real Father is Hugh." I say sifting my gaze to Hugh.
Jack gasps. "No...it can't be."
"But it is" Hugh says.

I sing to Jack.
"It's true" Jack whispered
He then runs over to me and embraces me into a hug.
Out of the corner of my eye I see Hugh trying to get out the door.
"Oh no you don't" I say as I grabbed his hand and yanked him down with us. He embraced both of us and I heard jack say
"I love you mother and father."
I was happy now. I felt like I had a family. I just needed to get rid of Jon.
