Scarlet POV

"How long do have to walk more?" I complained.

Today we are out to the old mountains. Where the old council used to had their meeting. It was the place where the first council members that means the mystic people of god blessed used to had their meetings.

"I will let you when we reach scar," Alex said under his breath again. It's the fourth time I asked him that.

"We have been walking for 2 hours non stop." -.- I said again.

"If you tired I can carry you." Ryan winked at me.

"If anyone is carrying her is me, her boyfriend." Noah protested.

"Guys chill, it's not that bad that any of you have to carry me."

The mountains were huge.

"Scarlet you can hold my hands for a bit and you will better," William said.

"Guys stop chit-chatting we need to reach there by morning," Max said.

"I am with Scarlet, I am tired!" Olivia said.

"Just a few more steps! We will arrive soon." Alex motivated us.

"Okay..." we kept walking for more like another hour.

Then behind a big mountain, I saw the temple room coming to my vision perfectly." Woah, it's huge."

"Yeah, the old monastery of the council."

"Wow, it's beautiful," Olivia said.

We made our way inside. The door was locked. "Alex, how do you propose we get in? It's not like you bought a key for the lock?" Max asked him.

"It's a magical lock... some kind of ancient spell. I can't figure it out..." Alex said.

"Let me try," Ryan said using his magic to break the lock. His wind spell was not strong to break it off. He was the most strong amount us for using that spell. He is basically near supreme.

"It's not working..." Williams approaches. "Let me have a try too." He summoned an ancient spell. He was the most knowledgeable and master of ancient spells among us.

He gave his all but still, it didn't work. " I used a high degree spell but this lock is not budging!"

Everyone was busy solving how to get beyond the locked door when I noticed that there is something written on the lock.

"Guys there is something written over here," I called them over.

William analysed the written. "It's a very old language of the gods... I can make out a few words with difficulty though. Sorry, I am a little rusty." He read on," the one who shall seek pass this door, can only be the one who's heart is flaming. Light will show the way where birthright is there."

"Flaming heart and birthright?" Noah asked.

"Yeah, I also don't understand it...what light they are talking about?"

"What shall we do?" Olivia asked.

"Let's give Scarlet a try..." Alex spoke after thinking a lot.

"Me?! —me.. why me?" I asked them puzzled.

"None of our powers is working on it scarlet and we are running out of time. I don't know but it's worth a try if you give it a shot." He said.

"Umm okay ... I will try." What can I do when the strong people in our group could shake the locked door!

I concentrated. I gather all my fire within me and the happy memories. I didn't realise it but somehow it's easy to be in control of my flame. The memories flooded in my head. I smiled and summoned my flame. Instead of the scorching red flame, a pink vibrant flame came upon me. With my flaming hands, I held the door. The flames took over the door spreading to every inch.

"Woah, I have never seen this flame before.." Noah spoke.

The door creaked and slowly opened. It worked!

"I don't know how I did it"

We all made our way inside.

The halls were huge.  The interior was bright with sunlight as the walls were broken here and there. Trees took over the pillars and small animals lived inside. Not only animals but mystical creatures were also there, a unicorn, fairies, stag... and so many more.

We careful navigated our way to the main council room.

We opened the door and went in. It was huge. A round table was kept in the middle accompanied by 7 chairs. And one hair was higher than the rest of them.

The room was beautiful with long curtains and decorative malls.

There was a book ket at the table. We opened it and read.

'Once there was a kingdom, ruled by high and mighty. Where the fair people and gods lived together in peace. The bold red king, the magnificent yellow king, the kind green king, the ferocious blue king, the calm white king, the tenacious pink queen and the ruler of life and death the black queen. All was fair and just when one day. The silver king revolted. The silver king massager of gods betrayed the king and queens. The human race died in bloodshed. All was lost when the black queen used her powers of flame to kill the mad silver king. For a god to kill another god, a curse was rebounded. And the black queen was forced to be born and live forever in this mortal realm. The other kings and queens gave tribute to the black queen sacrifice. Yellow, blue, red, white, green & pink return to the heavens awaiting the black queen arrival. The kingdom was left in peace.'

"So this means, the god that resides within that day we set free was Lumina, the black queen! "William said.

"Yes, but there is much more we don't know about..." Noah said.

"We are here, now somewhere in this room there have to be an off the golden diary, as told by my father the last record of the real book." Alex gathered our attention.

"You mean to say the golden book we had was a mere copy of the original?" Noah asked.

" yes, I am afraid so, before father send us on this quest he told us the legend of the golden book how the gods had it first," Alex spoke

"You mean the story we used to hear when we were kids about the gods in the golden book and the traitor?" Max asked.

"Precisely.I know you will say why we didn't look for that at first place that time I believe it to be a riñón or a folks take. The real golden book belong to gods."

"It won't be easy to locate it then," Max said.

"More importantly than finding is how do we read it once we get it. The book is protected by a barrier created by gods." Alex said.

"We will get there, first let's find the book. I suggest we split up and look for it." Ryan said.

We divided ourselves into pairs of two to look faster. Alex and Ryan went south, Olivia and William went east, Noah went to the north, and Max and I went to the west.

"Because out there scar," Noah cation me.

"I will." I gave a small kiss on his cheek and parted ways.

We walked ahead and started looking for it. But the book was not able to be found anywhere. Max started to look for it in the archive section and me in the reading section. Still nothing.

It's been over an hour now. We have no result now.

We came back to meet with everyone. "Any results?"

"Nada, scar." Olivia signed.

" what do we do now!" I said discouraged. Finding the book had been a challenge.

"Wr have to think guys! The book won't be in a place where we can find just by looking." Alex said.

"I have got it!" Noah exclaimed.

"What is it?" Williams asked.

"Your right the book won't be in a place where we can find it by looking! It's the god's golden book of prophecy, we have to look where no one will look for!" Noah said.

"Where is that?" Ryan said.

"In this room only! It's bound to be here somewhere. It's the only place we didn't look for it."

"But Noah, this room is empty. There are only tables and chairs here." Max said.

"Thus more hiding in plain sight!"

"He is right!" Alex said.

"I have got an idea!" William said, "let's have Scarlet use a locator spell! She opened the door, I feel that she can also find the book. Her powers are the same as the ancient God Lumina."

I once again gathered my flame to summon the book. I have no ideas what I am doing only my desire to find the book.

This time my flame went black as my eyes did too!

"Scar!! Are you okay?" Noah said worriedly.

I couldn't respond as if I was in a trans. The flame glowed and gathered around the centre of the table forming a sphere. "Woah, what that?" Olivia awed.

As my flame left my body into that spear I fell. My eyes turned to normal.

"Scarlet!" Noah and Ryan rushed to help me stand.

"I am okay... just tired." It took away a lot of my energy.

We stood and observed that beyond the fames the book appeared and was inside a golden aura of the barrier.

"This is the barrier!"

"But how do we get it? The barrier can't be broken." Olivia asked.

They were discussing it when I felt a strange attraction to the book. I moved close to it. my hand automatically reached out to hold the book.

"scar! careful the barrier is made by god we dong know what reaction it will have on you" before they could warn me, my hand invaded the barrier like butter and the book was in my hand.

nothing happened.

the book started glowing and the barrier disappeared slowly.

"how come she is okay?" Max asked him.

"she was blessed by Lumina, I guess, cause she was the key to unlocking the door and the barrier," William responded.

"Lumina and Scarlet powers were same. I see now. Why Lumina was trapped inside scar body for so long. It must have been tough. But I didn't imagine a god was residing among us. " Max said.

"Thats true, we need to find out more." We all gathered together in-front of the golden book.

I opened the book and started reading it.

'after the great war of the gods, the kinds and queen ascended to heaven, leaving human beings to defend themself. but as long as queen Lumina was here, the disaster was avoided. from generation and generation, she was born from one female body to another. residing in deep slumber. the black flame devoured everything in its way to protect itself. still, human beings being frail as they are, fought with greed and killed each generation, of the black flame holders. the god that once was praised was put behind bars now, chained, torched, stabbed, and left to die. but the tails of old god seeing this miss treatment said out a blessing combined to relieve black queen to the heaven, but where light is darkness also follows. when the ascend is reached, supreme is attended. the soul will be set free, but darkness lurks behind. the traitor will return. the curse will be bound. it's only unto humanity to save the world. a great battle will be fought. the one blessed with the power of black flame will be put to test and judgement. held to be the destroyer or the saviour of the world. Just remember when darkness covers you, happiness will discover you'

we all read it. "so the prophecy is that Scarlet is bound to be either the destroyer or saviour of this world"

my heart ran worried. I can't even take care of myself, "how will I save the world or will be the doom to destroy it!?"

Noah held my hand," it's an okay scar, we don't have to think of it now. we will figure it out somehow together."

"yeah scar we are not going anywhere leaving you alone," William said, Ryan and Alex nodded.

it seems like a lot of responsibility on my shoulders.

I cannot disappoint them. nor i can let killian destroy the world.
