Noah's POV

She kept breathing heavily and her skin was hot.

"Scarlet please wake up..." I said with a sad whisper.

I felt a hand on my shoulder. "It will be okay, she will wake up." Alex said.

"I don't understand... how can someone possess such power? No matter how I look at her I see her as a small little princess." Ryan spoke.

"Secret of the universe I guess..." Max added.

"Don't worry all will be out in the open soon... now we have to get her healthy first." Alex said.

I healed her first thing when we got back to the mansion.

"Maybe I took to much of her life force... it's my fault she is like this..." William said in sorrow.

"It's not your fault Willam, you did what you could." Max gave reassurance to him.

"Why isn't our princess waking up thrn?" Ryan asked in defeat.

Wish I knew why.

"Maybe I should heal her again.."

I tried to heal her again. I could feel her body rejecting my aura.

Usually my green aura is absorbed my her body but now she is rejecting it. The healing is evaporating.

I tried harder but I didn't have the strength anymore after I used all my energy to calm her and keeping safe everyone when.

I felt dizzy. "Noah! " Alex caught me from falling and I sat in the chair.

"Don't push yourself! You're in no condition to heal. You used all your energy on us." Alex said.

I felt so helpless. I glanced at Scarlet. She was breathing heavily still.

"There must be something we can do? I cant see her like this..."

"Nor do we..." Ryan said In a sad voice.

"There is nothing we can do." a voice said behind us.

We turned around and it was Mr Ford, Alex's father.

"What do you mean?" Alex asked.

"We all have our battle to fight. She is fighting hers."

We all looked at her.

A tear escaped her eyes and fell. "Don't go..." she whispered.

"We all are here!" I hold her hand.

"What happened to her? Why isn't she waking up?" William asked. "Is it because I took to much of her life force."

"No." He replied.

"How is Olivia?" Max asked.

"She is healing... better..."

"Then? Tell us what happened! How can we fix it?" Ryan said angrily.

"I am sorry my child. We can do nothing ..." he said and continued," have you all heard of the Iki Ville Colony?"

"Yes, the one that was destroyed by an explosion by the leak of the chemical factory ?" Noah said.

"Yes. The truth behind it was actually that..." he paused for a while. "Scarlet destroys that Colony..."

"What?!" Williams gasped in shock.

"Please father tell us, what happened to her? What was that power? And our wounds are not healing where she struck us? Who is Scarlet?" Alex asked restless.

He spoke with a sorrowful voice.

"She is Scarlet Snow, daughter of Lorena Snow. She is born with the fate of Destructive flame. This power was not seen in 24 decades... cause people born with this power are killed if found. They are a risk for humans and magical both."

We all saw each other in shock.

He continued," she possesses the black flame of disaster.
Called death. She is the bridge between life and death. Thus your wounds are not healing like normal."

"Where is her family?" I asked him.

"Lorena was my best friend Jim's wife. When scarlet was born. She knew she had to protect her from the world cause her fate is cruel. But it was not the same when people got to know. They went to kill her. Non survived except her. Her bother and father also died in the blast last I knew. The last word I had with her mother was 'protect my daughter and give her a happy life if something happens to us....' she said to me when Scarlet was born."

"Why does she not remember any of this?" Ryan asked. "How can she not know of her power?"

"Cause Laura had the power to erase memories. And I am guessing she took away the memories and sealed her powers."

"Why?" asked.

" to protect her pure and innocent heart. To give a normal life without her powers...."

"Why did you bring here then..?"

"After her mother's death, she was sent to live with a foster family. All was okay and she was leading a happy life. I was keeping a lookout for her. And some months ago I heard an incident which occurred and which would happen if her powers were coming back..."

"What was it?" Max asked.

"She unconsciously put the neighbour boy who liked her in a coma..." he signed.

"What?! How?"

"She took away too much of his life force by one touch. And she herself not remembers this as it was leak or escape of her building power struggling to come out from her memories. So, i bought her here. Where I could keep her out of harm's way but I couldn't."

"Why isn't she waking up?" William asked.

"Her consciousnesses is drifting between past and present at the moment all I can say...time travelling is never safe."

"She is doing what?!..." Alex couldn't speak.

We all were in shock.

"Is there any way we can help her?" I asked him.

"There is no solution I know off. All we can do is pray and see if she can find her way back to us... but if by tomorrow morning she doesn't wake up.. then it will be very critical for her health."

"Scarlet please come back to us..." I pleaded clutching her hand tightly.

"I will leave now... please you all take some rest. You need it."

We nodded.

He left the mansion.

"You guys rest abit. I will watch over her. If she wakes up..." i said to them. I was worried and panicking inside for her safety.

"No Noah, you go and rest." Alex said.

"But..."

"You're injured the most...please, " Ryan said to me.

"Don't worry we all will take turns to watch over her till you rerun..."William smiled.

"You all take some rest. I will take the first shift." Max said.

"Okay..." I gave one last glance at her pale face and got up.

"Come back to us..." I leaned and whispered in her ear. "We need you... I need you."

I brushed her hair with my fingers and left the room.

I arrived at my room and lied in my bed.

I don't know how to help her and how to pull her away from the nightmare she is having but I know is not evil nor her power is death.

I can feel it in my heart. She is good and no matter what happened today. She is our scarlet. Good and pure-hearted, innocent and sweet.

She became like this to protect us.

Now it's our turn to protect her.

This time i will protect her.

My heart became warm with that thought.

And skipped a beat.

Do I feel something for her other than friendship?
