Scarlet POV

I woke up and got ready for class.

I looked at the mirror as I made my hair in braids.

I got dressed and ran downstairs.

"Ready for class?" Noah smiled at me.

He kept a plate of fresh warm pancakes he made. I poured the maple syrup on it and took it.

"I am...but I am worried how people will react...now they know what I am." I gave a worried look.

"Don't worry we are here." Max and William joined me.

"If anyone tried to mess with you, they will regret it," Max said clutching his fit.

"I am not leaving your side Scarlet " William assured me.

"Thank you, guys! But I don't wanna trouble you.."

"Nonsense." Ryan joined me.

"Yeah your not troubling us Scarlet," William said.

I smiled at them.

Thank you guys for taking care of me.

"Have you all seen Alex?" I asked them.

"Yeah, he went to the student council room early this morning. He said he had to take care of some issues." Noah said putting in his jacket.

I will thank him later when I see him.

I finished my food. And head to class.
I never imagined this day would come, I looked at my one side where Max walked with his bad hung in one shoulder, shirt messed up bottomed, looking swag and cool.

In my other I glanced at William with his shining platinum blonde hair shining in the sun, maintaining his cool and calm face as always.

Two handsome guys and in the middle me.

I kept walking with face blushing hard.

I reached the classroom. Everyone stared at me and whispered.

'Is this the girl the blew up the whole school?'

'Yeah. She is dangerous.'

'Don't look at her!'

'She is a monster, scary!'

I knew this would happen. Max stood in front of me and gave a sharp look to the people gossiping. They went quite.

I slowly made my way to my seat. I saw Olivia.
I quickly ran towards her.

She saw me and gave me a huge hug.

"Girl where were you?! I was so worried. When I woke up, I couldn't find you anywhere." She cried.

"I am fine. Are you okay? " I checked her for wounds.

"I am a good Scarlet. I am healed."

"I missed you."

"Me too girl."

Suddenly she noticed that Max and William standing beside me.

"Did I miss something?" She raised an eye suspension.

We sat down accompanied by Max and William.

I explained to her the whole thing.

"I understand if your scared of me and don't want to be my friend anymore. You may as well heard the rumours." I said with a sorrowful face.

"Are you crazy? I am not kind of person Scarlet. Your my best friend and cause something like that I will not hang out with you? Really." She protested.

"Thank you for accepting me." I smiled.

"Now have you heard the good news?"

"What news?"

"Naomi has been kicked out of student council committee and suspended."

"Wow."

"Yeah apparently she was expelled but she rich trustee father convinced the principal to let her stay."

"That's news to me."

"Btw, I do like your bodyguards. Special the blue highlights one." Olivia said to me.

"Girl, you like Max?" I said in shock.

"Sssshhhhhh... it's just a crush. Until I am sure of my feelings I am not advertising my emotions." She said to me.

I laughed," your secrets safe with me."

Class conducted as usual but in the end, Mr Adrian said that our final exam of Awaking is near so we should start preparing ourselves.

This was the thing I was worried about! What if I lose control and hurt anyone. I held on to my books and squeezed them worried.

William holds my hand, with his hands that were in gloves. "Don't worry you will get through it. We will help." He smiled.

I smiled back keeping my courage.

I was about to leave when Mr Adrian wanted to talk with alone. I was nervous but followed him.

He leaned and stood beside his desk.

"I know Scarlet it must be hard for you to feel comfortable with your powers. People have learned to control it from a small age, but you came suddenly and late so, don't be scared. I know about your powers and what you have is very special and beautiful. Don't scared have faith." He said.

"Thank you so much, Mr Adrian. I will try my best." I smiled and left.

I was about to go when I remember I have to thanks Alex. I made my way towards the student council room.

I knocked at the door.

"Come in"

I slowly peeked inside.

him sitting in his desk buried under papers. He is busy.

I came in.

"Hey" I smiled at him.

He didn't look at me. "What's up?" And kept writing on the papers.

"I wanted to thank you for yesterday. Um... I know Your busy but can we talk..." I gained up the courage to ask him.

"We can't... I haven't got up from this desk in 4 hours."

"That means you didn't head lunch too.."

"Yeah. I will talk to you later. Can you go now." He said

I grew angry. I came to him to talk and now he is being rude.

I went towards him and closed all the papers and books.

"What are you doing?"

"I understand you don't wanna talk but at-least have something to eat. You missed your lunch."

"Scarlet I don't have time..." he looked me. I noticed he had bags under his eyes.

I took his hand and went to the roof.

"Scarlet? Why are we here?"

I made him sit down and took out my lunch. I had skipped lunch too.

"We can't eat together then you can go to work. I won't disturb you."

"You won't let me leave until I eat right?"

"Yes. Until you eat. I will keep disturbing you."

He signed.

He gave in and started eating. I smiled and eat too.

"So tell me why are you rude to me always? What did I do to you." I asked him.

"Can't help it. You're an Airhead." He gave an immediate reply.

I pursed my lips into a pout. " I am not." I took a big bite of sandwich.

He looked at me chuckled," and a child too." He wiped the sauce from my cheeks.

I laughed hard.

"Your just grumpy and like make fun of me." I stick out my tongue to him. I laughed

"Watch it."

"Or what. " I gave him a playful shove.

He took my hairband. "I will keep this as a punishment then."

"Hey give it back! It's my favourite one"

I reached out to take it but he was fast."

"Apologies "

"As if."

"So I am keeping it." He put it in his wrist. He was going to leave.

"Hey!" I ran up to him and stumbled into him, end up falling in his arms.

"Ouch..."

"See you're a child." He said laughing loudly. I never seem him laugh so freely. I liked it.

I looked at smiling. "Smile sites you Alex."

He blushed and realised the proximity between us.

"Get up your heavy." He said pushing me off.

"I am not that much heavy," I said.

"I have work to do. See you later airhead." He left.

I thought he was opening up to me...
And again he turned back to his grumpy self.

I got up and left smiling.

Alex POV

I sat on at my desk.

I couldn't help but smile. She is cute.

I couldn't believe myself, I wanted that moment to last?

Get a hold of yourself, Alexander.

You're keeping an eye on her.
