I combed my goldenrod blonde hair.

I put on the a white shirt and red pleated skirt. As It was autumn, it was still abit cold outside. I didn't wanna risk falling sick so i put on the black cardigan and kept my hair open. I tied the ribbon around my shirt collar.

"All done" i smiled looking at the mirror. I didn't put any make just a but of strawberry lip balm on my pulpy lips and some peach coconut perfume.

I took my bag and was about to leave when i saw shiny stone pin on my dresser table.

I went to pick it up. "I almost forgot to put this on"

I took the black jewel pin and put it on my uniform vest.

Everyone gets a pin. It like a symbol of their power and  level. Its not as dividing people into ranks but more like a perticular group perform different task.

I remember Olivia telling me yesterday about the color codes. Which determines the power ranks of individual like-

First comes Red
Then, Blue
Green
Yellow
White
Violet
Silver
Gold

And others...

They all represent the rank of powers each possess. Like red is dangerous, blue is second and the green, and the rest goes like this. From red to gold are important once.

I don't know what red or the other colours represents. I mean even though they have colour code but, each individual possess a different power. For example a red can possible different range of powers which is identified as dangerous. Like one can have telekinesis or other can have shield. So its hard to tell what powers others have.

But I don't know where does black fits. They never gave any rank for it.

And if anyone asks me about my powers then i am at a total loss. I mean i do have them. Otherwise I couldn't have gotten in this university but I don't remember what is it or how to activate it. First, i was doing normal human university schooling but i activated these powers somehow, which I don't remember how or when... and the principal of this university gave me a scholarship and transferred me to this university.

I am a normal human most times. I don't know my powers or why i got the black pin but i will try the judgement of the principal who entrusted me to study here and control and learn about my powers.

All our pins were given and determined by the principal so no one can argue about it. As far as i have heard he is wise and knowledgeable man.

I went down to the dining table. I saw Noah making breakfast. I saw Ryan and Max was already eating. He put down a plate of pancakes 🥞 in front of me.

The guys can wear casual but the dark blue blazer were necessary as a symbol of this academy like mine was the cardigan.

"I hope you like pancakes?" He smiled.

"Yess definitely "

he was in his uniform. I checked him out. His brunette hair was like gold on the uniform. I eyes fell on his pin.

Green. I whispered

He noticed it. "Yes i am a green but don't worry i am not that dangerous" he chuckled.

"Oh I dont mind that. Colours and rank doesn't determine our nature or personality. " I smiled.

He looked at pin.

" black? Thats rare." He said.

"Is it? "I asked him

"Yes no one ever had a black pin over 5 decades. As far as i know."

"Oh..."

"That means our girl is special?" Ryan came close and said.

I gave a nervous chuckle " hardly the case in this matter." I don't even know my power or how to use them. Sometimes i think to myself even if i have them or not.

I noticed Max had his gaze fixed on me.

I quickly finished my food and got up. "See you around the campus"

I saw Alex also leaving now. I should try to be friends with him. Cause i have to live with him so better rectify the situation.

"Hey Alex good morning." I made an approach.

He gave me the stink eyes. "Don't talk to me like you know me or your my friend and one last thing" he leaned in close," if you tell anyone that your living here then, i will make sure your thrown out of here immediately."

He walked away.

"Always so cold Mr. popular king." Ryan said standing beside me.

"King?"

"Yes. Our dear Alexander Ford is the son of the principal and the next CEO is Ford ltd company. He has both power and reputation. He is all rounder in studies and has charm. Girls are mostly all over him." He said.

I see now.

"Don't worry he is a nice fellow just need a little warm upto."

I smiled.

I waved Ryan and Noah goodbye.

I made my way towards the class room. I entered the room and was happy to see Olivia was there. Thank you god! At least one friendly face.

She noticed me and gestured me to sit down with her. I quickly made her way towards her. I didn't look forward and bumped into someone again.

"I am sorry..." i looked up. I was about to slip down the stair when he caught my hand. He wore white gloves.

It was William. "Do you want to make it a habit of bumping into me?"

"Um..."

"stop associating with me." He left me.

So Mr. quite is also in this class. I sat beside her. "Hey Olivia. How are you?"

"Going great. More excited for class and learn about our powers." She said.

"Yes" i gave her a nervous laugh.

Powers... i hope we don't have to deal with that right now.

Her pin was Violet. "Violet?"

"Yes my powers are nothing special but i can make it snow." She said.

"That's awesome."

She looked at mine." Black, never heard of that color pin before, what powers do you have?" She asked me.

I ran cold sweats. Exactly the question i was avoiding. If it was possible I would have left that pin in my room. But its a rule everyone has to wear it so i am facing this situation.

"Um..."

"Can you girls be quite? I am having trouble in sleeping." A voiced interrupted us.

I saw a boy beside us, keep his head down on the desk.

"Oh sorry." I said.

He didn't reply.

"By the way did you get any rooms to stay?" She asked.

"Yeah, Don't worry " I smiled.

I didn't liked keeping a secret from her so i told her."Keep it a secret okay?"

"Thats great girl, living with 5 hot guys! I am jealous." She said laughing. "Don't worry your secret safe with me."

Thanks to that guy, i was rescued answering that question of my powers.

I can tell, that this semester year is going to a rocky road for me. But i am confident I overcome all obstacles and shine through.

Mom, dad look out for me. I smiled and looked forward.
