🌌 Interview 6 🌌

Our interviewer Victorya, sat down and had a nice long chat with The_Reminscent96

A directioner with a passion for writing fictional characters and getting immersed in fictional worlds herself.

Thank you Neer for letting us interview you.

____________________________________________________________________

Hello! My name is Victorya, your interviewer. How are you today?

I'm good. Thank you. How're you?

Also good!
Right, shall we begin?

Sure.

Tell me about yourself in 10 words or less.

Well let me try. - Weird, Thoughtful, Creative, Introverted, Sarcastic, Funny, Reliable, Loyal and a believer of "Until then-s" and not 'forever-s or one-time-s'.

That's something new...what exactly do you mean by "Until-then-s"?

I mean I don't know if things last forever or not.. so I believe it lasts till it is meant to last.. so I hold on to people/things till then and then it's, well, either part away or restart afresh.. whichever suits the situation and us...

And my choices, preferences change.. so does my interest in people and things.. so honestly I am a person of "time-to-time commitment" basically

Wonderful philosophy.

What are you most passionate about?

Fangirling over fictional/non-fictional characters. Ha-ha!!! :-)

Jokes apart!

Reading books and writing fictional stuff. These two things I can do all my life (at least I think so)

If books teach me how to think and see things, then writing is my way of expressing those thoughts. It's my personal heaven as well as guilty pleasure!

Fangirling! Yes there's nothing better than that haha
What fandoms are you a part of?

One Direction, Arshi (IPKKND) & Manan (KYY)

That's nice...
I'll give you a hypothetical situation now:
"Imagine you're granted the ability to exchange places with ANYONE, alive or deceased, for a day, who would it be?"

That's an interesting one. I've two choices actually.

1. I'd like to wake up as Garth Stein for a day. I'd want to experience what has inspired him to write The Art of Racing In The Rain, and...

2. Noam Chomsky. Just to experience for once how his brain actually works.

Ah, I've watched the movie: The Art of Racing in the Rain, such a beautiful, emotional movie.

I've watched both the movie and read the novel. I must say the movie didn't have even 1% of what the novel stores. It has reduced so many crucial events and scenes and dialogues that it kills the quintessence of the novel in the first place. I'm so disappointed.

Okay now coming to your question.

Did not realize that the movie was so underwhelming, I personally loved it. But yes, adaptations have been known to butcher books, right?

Yeah quite agreed! Quite often adoption is interchanged with ADAPTION! Ha-ha! :-)

Very true, I say that as a big-time book fan (especially as a PJO fan :)

PJO fan!!! I can't hold my smirk! *smirking coolly*

What makes that story and his work in particular so special to you?

It's his next-door writing style, on-point sense of humour, compassion, choice of words and that observation & ultimate philosophy. I can go on and on about it. But the x-factor I find is the universality. The main protagonist's profession or the western society is nothing that I've known anything about being born & brought up my whole life in India. But I still can confront each and every character, their psychology, circumstances and recognize them tailing around me in my personal life. It's a fictional representation of the world around me and a chance to Learn through it. And last but not least the moral, philosophical and spiritual aspect depicted through the Mongolian myth...

Fascinating...do recommend some of his stories! His writing seems like the kind I'd enjoy.

His Other Stories are - A Sudden Light, Raven Stole The Moon.

About the second person you mentioned, I haven't heard of him. Could you enlighten me on him?

As a student of Linguistics I firstly know him as an American Linguist known as "The Father of Modern Linguistics" and a professor at MIT, America. Other than that, Noam Chomsky, 94 years-old, is a critic, cognitive scientist, political activist, historian, philosopher and also a recognized forefigure in Computer Science. He's also studied math and general medicine.

I can't even imagine. Does that man's brain even sleep??

Some people are just wired that way, right? They seem almost inhuman when you learn of their achievements...

They certainly do.

But what irritates me more is when my father says, "Think the other way. What if they're the actual human beings and so then you're........" and this truth itself is so damn annoying. :-)

That's so relatable!!! The truth just hits you, and honestly, that is the most irritating thing ever lmao!

Lmaoo!!!! naked truth of life! Ha-ha

So true, it's almost painful.

Yeah... I know right!

While we're still speaking about truths...what do you think is the biggest truth you think everyone must know about life?

Honestly I can't downright pinpoint that. I'm too young and inexperienced for that. But I think we should know that there should be a harmony between our 'said word & work done'. Being cynical won't lead us anywhere.

Still to be honest I can't be honest here because I don't know the answer myself.

I understand, I'm around your age too...and I agree, that's a philosophy everyone needs in life.
Moving on, what's your definition of peace?

For me, peace is my self-talks and my own quality time in my room...

And what about happiness?

Good books, good music, good food, a simple homely get together with my close friends away from crowds and mess and our never-ending gossips about anything and everything :-)

If you don't mind may I ask "What's happiness and peace for you"? It seems like a good question.

For me?

Yes.

Thanks for asking!
Peace for me is being able to do whatever I want to do without someone ordering me about.
Freedom is peace for me.

Wow!!! Inspiring!!

And, a little bit childish, if you ask me.
As for happiness: It's gotta be- gosh there are a couple.
Any good story, be it a movie or a book. A delicious meal, a genuine compliment, and a pleasant surprise; you know, the little things.

So fantastic (and cute :P). You're right, these little things are that one thing to love and cherish for a lifetime...

Absolutely :))
And, finally, what's your little message for the world?

Logic and rationality walks hand in hand. So it takes these two things to tango named 'human being'. So Everybody shake your legs of tradition & modernity and celebrate the dance of compassion called "Live and let me live"!!

Brilliantly said!
And with that, ends our little chat.
I hope you had fun because I certainly did!

I definitely had. It was great talking to you!

Thank you for having me in for this lovely conversation...

Take care. Stay safe!

Love,

Neer.
