So Hello! I'm gonna be your interviewer today, how are you feeling?
Hello there! I'm feeling pretty good. How about you?
I'm excited as ever! I love taking interviews!
I see you've been on wattpad for a long time, since 2016, how did you find this place?
I used to love writing stories on my notebooks but you know I wanted for people to read them, so I asked a friend of mine who also wrote books if she knew any app where I can post them and yeah, here I am!
Being here since the last almost 5 years, is this your first book or have there been more and you took them down for some reason?
No, actually, it's not my first book. I took many and I mean MANY books down. I still have some in my draft but I don't know if I'll ever continue writing them. I used to write more Fan-Fiction, but since I'm not so into that anymore I just took them down and another reason is because I have the tendency to never actually complete a book. But this time a friend of mine encouraged me to so since she like the idea of my book. So yeah!
I hope you get this one done! I quite like the storyline
Thank you so much! ^~^
So you love kpop... which band/singer is your favourite? Will you ever consider writing fanfics again?
I actually started liking K-Pop the same time I've started writing stories. I have many favourite K-Pop groups that can't be listed. XD I feel like I would never write Fanfics again. It's not me anymore.
its been a year we've all been cooped up in our houses, what interests did you pick up?
Actually, writing. I had stopped it for a while and wasn't into that anymore but my interest woken up again and started ploting different stories and mainly the book I already have published. I also am really interested in different cultures and languages, so I started learning some new stuff. ^~^
Interesting! I too love learning languages, though i suck at the end of the day ;)
Oh it's fine, nobody is perfect. XD
Describe 'The Winner gets Everything' in 3 words.
In three words. Hmmm, I would say, Strong Female Power.
Ooohhh I'm excited as to where the story goes!
Favourite Character?
I must say my favourite character must be my main character, Maven. She represents a very strong, independent and powerful woman with a slight temper. XD
Do you see yourself in Maven/ where did her character's idea originate?
I wish I was Maven, I'm telling you. XD Her persona in general is something you don't see in many books, that was what I wanted, something that you don't see that much in books. The idea of her character came from an audio I heard, a conversation between two women. The first one said, "Behind a great man, is a strong woman," and then the second woman answered, "Oh, I wouldn't know. I never stood behind a man." And that moment I knew I need to create a character that has that type of attitude.
That's absolutely inciting!
Where did the inspiration come from for the plot of 'The Winner Gets everything'
The inspiration for the plot came from the audio I just mentioned and also from one of my favourite songs by Qveen Herby "Sugar Daddy" but instead of making the woman getting money from her sugar daddy, she would make the same amount of money as her actual dad. I really was also very into writing a story based on casinos and businesses because it's something I never wrote.
Reminds me of the Ocean's movies, Heists in Casinos :)
I'm gonna be honest, I actually never watched the Ocean's movie. XD
So what's Your favourite part to write about in a story?
My favourite part to write in a story is when there is a secret and the main characters try to find out what it is. And the two main characters hated each other before but slowly get closer. Those are my favourite parts.
Ooohhh, intriguing, also I would definitely suggest watching the Ocean movies, they are amazing!
So Writer's block, how do you cope up with it?
Okay, I will! ^~^
Writer's block is something that happens alot to me. Usually I just take a break, listen to some music that fits the aesthetic of my story, watch some movies or shows and just try to relax, not stress about it. I sometimes ask my friends if they have any ideas. And sometimes I write all the ideas I have down because I get overwhelmed by them and that causes me also to have a writer's block.
Okayy, and coming to the last question of this interview, everyone has a personal life, how do you manage writing with studies/work in real life?
If I have work to do, I'll complete that first and then I try to make time for my books. Right now is a little bit easier since almost everyone is at home but before, I was sometimes stressed about that but I could handle it. Though I might have lost my sleep writing stories which is not good for my health and I try to avoid that, uhm, I really enjoy it, try to always enjoy it. If I'm tired from work, I know my limit and maybe I'll write maybe I won't, it also always depends on my mood.
Do take care and Thank you so much for your time, I loved talking to you <3
You should too! Thank you so much for this interview, wish it was longer! And I also loved talking to you. <3
