Recap :
Ahankara : " what should we do to bring this palace it's happiness back ?"
Dasi : " we don't know Rajkumari . But something tells us that you and Rajkumari Kaurwaki will surely bring a change.  We knew it from the first time we saw you both . "

Ahankara povs. 
After sometimes they brought me  my dinner and we all ate together.  They were hesitant to eat with me but I assured them that it was okay . They all retreated when they heard the gaurds announcing Rajkumar Sushim arrival . 

I dusted off the dust from my lehanga and checked whether my hair and shawl was in place . My hair was loosely hanging down my shoulders.  The shawl was pinned to my left shoulder covering my bosoms. 

I quick remembered his warning yesterday not expect anything from him.  I shouldn't look like I was waiting for him.  I quickly got into the bed and closed my eyes acting as if I am sleeping . I'm pretty good at this.  Since childhood I would always fool Bhai whenever he came to my room to check whether I have slept or not. 

I heard footsteps approaching . That was definitely him . Then I heard some shuffling by the table.  He was removing his armour and taking off his uttariya guess.  I blushed at yesterday's event . He was so perfect.  I quickly had urge to open my eyes and a get a glimpse of his amazing built body.  A little peek will do no harm. 

Ahan what are you thinking.  Get a hold of yourself.  Don't let him think that you are head over heels for him. 
With that in mind , I closed my eyes and pretended to sleep again. 

" I know you are awake ," his voice called out making me shiver . I'm caught . Oh God.  But I still kept my eyes closed turning away.  Oh God.  But still kept my eyes closed turning away from him and laid facing the other side.

" Ahankara " he called and I cleaned my dupatta  tightly with my hands . Goosebumps rose on my skin at the he called my name. 

" I'm taking to you . Are you deaf ?"  His voice boomed and I shuddered at the volume.  He was angry.  I didn't want to make him even more angry . So I decided to quit my acts.

I opened my eyes and got up from the bed.  I stood up facing him . But I hung my head low as I was scared to look at his eyes . My mother would scold me if she saw this . A princess never hung her head low. 

" Have you met my Mata Dhrama ?" He asked. 

" N - no ." I stuttered in my reply.  God why can't I say a small word clearly. 

" Be presentable.  She will be here any minute to see you.  _ wait what.  Rani Dharma would be here any minute to see me . I needed to make my first impression good as she is my mother- in - law and I don't need any grudges with her. 

Did my hair looks good.  I turned to the mirror . It was hanging loosely on my shoulders . It needs to be tied into a proper bun . My hands went to my hair and  I started to tie it into a bun .

" What are you doing ? He asked out of the blue.  I looked at him through the mirror. 

" T - trying my hair properly ." I replied.

" Don't Let it be the way it was before."  It was more like an order which I was obliged to obey. 

I let my hair loose and my bouncing curls reached my waist again. 

" Keep your shawl properly . We don't want to give her any false ideas now , do we ?" He said with an smirk . I quickly looked down to avoid the blush that was creeping into my skin.  The maid's right . He is such a teaser. 

" Rajkumar , Rani Dharma had announced her arrival here ." I guard came and he nodded. 

In no time , the doors , opened and walked in my mother - in - law with grace . She held her head high . She truly was a queen.  Even though some part of her hair were graying during to again , she was beautiful.  I wonder how she looked in her younger days.  Everyone in this place where blessed with amazingly facial features be it men or women.  This family was beautiful while I on the other hand was average looking. 

" Maa , have you had your dinner ?" Sushim asked. 

" Yes , and I came to see your bride. " her voice sl was stern . This time I kept my head high and acted like princess. 

Sushim pulled me closer to him and there were only a few inch space between us . My hands would occasionally brush with his and tingle spread through my body. 

" Maa , Meet my wife , Rajkumari Ahankara ." He announced I slightly did a courtesty.  She nodded at me eying me from top to bottom .

" I heard that she is the princess of Kalinga.  Is that true ?" She asked to Sushim yo Which he nodded . Again her eyes were back on me. 

" You are the daughter of sumitra right ?" She asked . How does she know my mother. 

" Yes Rani Dharma , but may I know how you know my mother ?" I asked confused .

" We both were friends ." She didn't speak further into it . 

" Sushim ." She called out . " If you wanted to marry.  You could have told me . Why did you and your brother went out one day and then came back with two girls saying that they are your brides ?"

" Maa , whatever we did , it was for you . Besides a year ago.  You were the one who was complaining about me for not finding my bride ." He said .

Suddenly a guard came into announce

Kaurwaki : suddenly the door opened and a silhouette of a man entered.  My gaze fell on the fruit basket.  There was a small knife.  This would do.  I quickly grabbed it.  I lunged the knife forward as an attempte to stab the man but he grabbed my hand and turned me around.  My back hit his chest and he held the knife near my neck.  I could feel his hot breath near my neck . It is hand wrapped around my bare waist and a gasp left my mouth at his touch .................................................
